Abstract

This study investigates how digital innovation capability and customer value co-creation influence the performance of new products, with digital transformation maturity serving as a moderating variable. The novelty of this research is the development of indicators, especially on the variable of co-creation of customer value. This quantitative research will collect data using a structured questionnaire, employing a 6-point Likert scale. The data will be analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine the relationships between variables and test the proposed hypotheses. The sample size will be a minimum of 155 respondents. The findings confirm that Digital Innovation Capability and Customer Value Co-Creation positively influence New Product Performance. However, Digital Transformation Maturity does not strengthen these relationships, suggesting that high levels of digital maturity may introduce rigidity, reduce human-led innovation, and shift focus toward efficiency rather than customer engagement. Future studies should compare different industries (manufacturing, services, technology) to explore whether digital transformation maturity has varying effects on product performance. Future research should track the long-term impact of digital innovation and customer co-creation on new product success over multiple years.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how gamified HR platforms influence learning and development outcomes among banking employees. This study employs a qualitative research approach to gain an in-depth understanding of how gamified HR platforms influence learning and development outcomes among banking employees. A case study design will be used, focusing on one or more banking institutions that have implemented gamified HR platforms for training and development. Data will be analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings demonstrate that gamification significantly improves learning engagement, motivation, and knowledge retention. Features such as progress tracking, scenario-based simulations, and leaderboards contributed to more positive learning experiences compared to traditional e-learning. Gamified HR platforms can help modernize compliance training and skill development, making them more relevant and enjoyable. Future studies can build upon this work in conduct quantitative or mixed-methods research to measure the statistical impact of gamification on learning outcomes and job performance.

Abstract

This qualitative study seeks to explore the lived experiences of employees to uncover how they perceive the meaning of engagement and how this perception influences their commitment to remain within the organization. This study employed a qualitative research design using a phenomenological approach. Phenomenology is well-suited for exploring the lived experiences and personal interpretations of individuals. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data, following Braun and Clarke’s (2006) six-step approach. The findings reveal that employee engagement is deeply rooted in emotional connection, recognition, meaningful work, and supportive leadership. Engagement is not just a state of doing, it is a state of being. It is shaped by how employees experience their roles, relationships, and the organizational environment. For HR and Management, engagement strategies should prioritize emotional connection, purpose, recognition, and leadership development. Top-down engagement initiatives must be supplemented with authentic two-way communication. Future research could consider involving employees from different industries, countries, or generational cohorts to compare engagement perceptions.

Abstract

The growing demand for natural health solutions and the integration of digital lifestyles presents new opportunities for innovation in traditional herbal products. This study aims to design a value-oriented digital business model for an anti-migraine herbal tea, combining traditional herbal knowledge with modern digital entrepreneurship and accounting systems. The research used a qualitative approach, integrating the Business Model Canvas (BMC), Value Proposition Canvas (VPC), and digital accounting to formulate a scalable and consumer-centric business framework. The herbal formulation, consisting of ginger, peppermint, turmeric, lemongrass, lavender, cinnamon, and stevia, was developed based on scientific literature and traditional practices. Through consumer insights, market segmentation, and prototype evaluation with stakeholders and experts, the model was validated for its market viability and alignment with health-conscious and digital native consumers. The findings indicate that the integration of digital accounting enhances transparency, financial control, and business credibility, while the overall model supports sustainability, traceability, and value creation. This research contributes to the fields of digital business, sustainable product innovation, and the commercialization of traditional medicines. Future research is recommended to combine quantitative validation and clinical testing to improve the robustness and impact of the model.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the economic feasibility of producing nutrient-rich fertilizers from solid fruit bunches (FBs) and empty fruit bunches of oil palm, taking into account nutrient composition, production process, cost structure, and potential market opportunities. This study bridges the gap between agricultural science and business economics by combining nutrient analysis of oil palm solids and empty fruit bunches with a cost-benefit evaluation and market potential assessment. This study used a mixed-methods design that combined: (1) experimental laboratory analysis (nutrient profiles and processing trials); (2) process mass balance and cost accounting to develop a production cost model; and (3) market and financial analysis (surveys, price benchmarking, and financial valuation). This study shows that solid palm oil waste, specifically solid decanter cake and empty fruit bunches (jangkos), contains significant macro and micronutrients that can be converted into high-value products such as organic fertilizer and soil conditioner. Provide palm oil mills with a science-based business model to convert waste into value-added products.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how stakeholders, including palm oil enterprises, smallholder cooperatives, banking institutions, and regulators, perceive the role of banking support in facilitating or hindering the adoption of digital accounting systems. This study employs a qualitative exploratory design to capture the diverse perspectives of stakeholders on the role of banking support in facilitating digital accounting adoption within the palm oil industry. A purposive sampling strategy will be employed to ensure participants possess direct experience with either banking support or digital accounting adoption. Data will be analyzed using thematic analysis. Interview transcripts, focus group notes, and documents will be coded inductively and deductively, guided by the research questions. The findings reveal that banks are not merely providers of financial capital but also act as institutional gatekeepers that shape reporting practices and encourage digital transformation. Larger enterprises view digital accounting as a strategic tool for efficiency and compliance, while smallholders often see it as a burdensome requirement.

Abstract

The increasing demand for functional and health-oriented dairy products has positioned goat milk agro-enterprises as a promising business sector, particularly in emerging economies. Despite this potential, many goat milk businesses face persistent challenges related to production inefficiency, high operational costs, and limited scalability. This study aims to examine the impact of smart processing machines on business efficiency in goat milk agro-enterprises. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from small and medium-sized goat milk processing enterprises and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that smart processing machine adoption has a positive and significant effect on business efficiency, including cost efficiency, productivity, and operational effectiveness. The findings indicate that smart processing machines function not merely as technological tools but as strategic business resources that enhance operational performance and competitiveness. This study contributes to the business and agribusiness literature by providing empirical evidence at the production-machine level and highlighting the strategic value of smart manufacturing technologies in small-scale agro-enterprises. The findings offer practical insights for business owners, policymakers, and technology developers in promoting sustainable and efficient goat milk processing businesses.
