<![CDATA[Reading comprehension is an activity that should be mastered by the students in order to enrich their knowledge. There are several factors that influence students’ reading comprehension. This research aims to know the correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension. The correlation between motivation and reading comprehension. Therefore, this research also aims to find the correlation between vocabulary mastery, motivation and students’ reading comprehension. This research represents descriptive quantitative research by using correlation method. The result of this research indicates that vocabulary correlates positively with reading comprehension. The motivation correlates positively with reading comprehension. Moreover, this study also finds that there is positive correlation between vocabulary, motivation and students’ reading comprehension. There are several ways that can be used to increase student’s reading comprehension such as; familiarize students to read a lot by understanding the contents of the reading text; creating a conducive learning situation in order to increase students’ motivation in reading. By reading a lot and understanding the reading text, it is hoped that students’ vocabulary mastery will increase.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the implementation of active learning in improving the ability to write exposition students of class VIII MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, so this research can be used as a reference for one of the learning methods that can be used to improve learning achievement. The method used to achieve this goal, the researcher uses a data collection method where the methods used by researchers to collect data are observing the variables to be studied using interviews, tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results of the study can be concluded that using the jigsaw cooperative learning method can improve learning achievement in Indonesian material about exposition texts in class VIII students of MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung in the 2019/2020 academic year. This can be proven from the pre-cycle of students who completed as many as 12 students with a percentage of completeness of 37.5%. The first cycle of students who completed increased to 20 students with a percentage of completeness of 62.5%. The target of classical completeness criteria is with a percentage of 85% achieved in cycle II with a completeness percentage of 100% with 32 students who complete. Pre-cycle to cycle I an increase of 25%, while the first cycle to cycle II an increase of 37.5%. This Classroom Action Research was declared successful.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the correlation of students’ vocabulary mastery and reading interest with the argumentation writing ability of VIII grade SMPN 14 Bandar Lampung. This research was conducted because of the reality on the ground that the ability to write arguments and mastery of vocabulary, as well as reading interest need to be developed. The method used in this research is correlational method. The techniques used in collecting research data are questionnaires and tests. Testing the research hypothesis using the correlation coefficient test, product moment and multiple correlation. Previously, the analysis prerequisite test was conducted, namely the normality and linearity tests of the data. The results of the study can be concluded that, (1) there is a positive and significant correlation of vocabulary mastery and argumentation writing ability which is indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.662 and a coefficient of determination (r2) of 0.438 or 43.8%, (2) there is a positive and significant correlation between reading interest and argumentative writing ability, indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.766 and a coefficient of determination (r2) of 0.587 or 58.7%, (3) there is a positive and significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading interest with writing ability argumentation shown by the correlation coefficient of 0.804 and the coefficient of determination (r2) of 0.646 or 64.6%.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the relationship between the mastery of diction, speaking interest and public speaking skill in the context of the students of the Vocational High School in Indonesia. The subjects of this study were the students of SMK Swadhipa 2 Natar, South Lampung, Indonesia. Researchers used the correlational method. The instruments used to collect research data were questionnaire and test. The hypothesis testing of this study was conducted using the product-moment correlation and multiple correlation formula. The results of the statistical test analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between the mastery of diction and the public speaking skill. The correlation between the students’ speaking interest and public speaking skill was also proven significant. Moreover, this research also found that there was a significant relationship between the mastery of diction, the speaking interest, and the public speaking skill of Vocational High School students.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine and examine the acquisition of first language in early childhood in PAUD Melati Gan. This research is a qualitative research using the analysis method, namely by analyzing the data in the form of phonology, phrases and sentences obtained from research respondents. Data collection was obtained from interviews, dialogues, observations, literature studies and data regarding the acquisition of the first language in PAUD Melati Gan. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the acquisition of language of children aged 2 to 3 years was developed through several stages, namely (1) the stage of two-word speech, (2) the stage of inflection and agglutinative, and (3) the stage of the question and deny sentence patterns. The findings show that children's phonological acquisition is flawless around the age of 2-3 years, particularly the pronunciation of vowel sounds followed by consonant sounds. In these ages, children’s morphological aspect also increased. They grasp hundreds words during this periods.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the use of picture word cards online in improving the quality of early speaking skills learning and to determine the improvement of early speaking skills in early childhood group B Al Azhar 18 Bandar Lampung Kindergarten in academic year 2019/2020. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in collaboration with class B teachers. The research design used goes through four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 25 children consisting of 9 boys and 16 girls. The object of research is speaking skills. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that early speaking skills could be improved using pictorial word cards for group B children at Al Azhar Kindergarten 18 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2019/2020. The results of the increase in initial speaking skills before the action were 55.25% which were included in the poor criteria and in the first cycle as many as 73% which were included in the sufficient criteria, so that there was an increase of 17.75%. The results in Cycle II were 91% which were included in good criteria, so there was an increase of 18%.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was conducted for several purposes, namely (1) to find out and describe the critical language form of Rocky Gerung, (2) to know and describe its motives and objectives, (3) to know and describe the critical message conveyed by Rocky Gerung in the Indonesia Lawyers Club on tvOne. Research methods use content analysis. The data and data source of this research is the critical language of Rocky gerung which aired on ILC tvOne. Collection by uploading ILC impressions on youtube specifically on the presence of Rocky Gerung and transcribe conversations into data sheets. The results showed that Rocky Gerung's critical language in the ILC aired on tvOne was generally firm, straightforward, and clear. The firmness of the RG language is because it is directly in the ILC discussion forum entitled 'Testing KPU Neutrality', 'The Face of Our Decomrasiration', and FPI Permit Back and Forth'. The goal is to criticize government policies, regulations, including the KPU and the constitutional court. The message conveyed, namely the government needs to be wise and fair to see and respond to every conflict that arises from the bottom to the top of the political elite so as to create a comprehensive justice.]]>

<![CDATA[The problems raised in this study is related to the effectiveness of school-based lesson study in an effort to improve teacher competency. This study is conducted with the aim of improving the competency of Indonesian language teachers at SD IT Tumaninah Yasin Metro for the 2020/2021 academic year. The results shows that the implementation of the teacher's ability done in cycle I and cycle II. The meeting in the first cycle of the implementation of the teacher's ability in planning learning is 78.3% and the implementation of the teacher's ability in the implementation of learning is 77.9%. The implementation of the learning evaluation is 79.1%, this value is lower than the total value in the second cycle, namely the implementation of the teacher's ability to plan learning of 84, 2% and the implementation of the teacher's ability in the implementation of learning is 86.3%. However, the implementation of the learning evaluation is 87.5%. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the implementation of lesson study at SD IT Tumaninah Yasin Metro based on the research findings in cycle I and cycle II as a whole can improve the pedagogic competence of Indonesian language teachers at SD IT Tumaninah Yasin Metro. The implementation of lesson study at SD IT Tumaninah Yasin Metro on the performance of teachers in doing the lesson study stage in each cycle has increased. It is hoped that the support from various parties can cintinue and sustain the implementation of school-based lesson study.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the relationship between learning motivation and the ability to write descriptions, mastery of sentence structure and writing skills, and the relationship between learning motivation and mastery of sentence structure and ability to write descriptions. The research method used in this study is correlational, a type of research designed to determine or describe the relationship between existing variables. This study describes the relationship between learning motivation (X1) and mastery of sentence structure (X2) with the ability to write descriptions (Y). The findings showed that learning motivation and mastery of sentence structure are the essential variables that need attention to improve the ability to write reports of students of class VIII SMP, especially class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Way Tuba. in general. Motivation to learn and mastery of sentence structure is the essential part that students must master to improve their ability to write descriptions. The ability to write reports can increase if students have high mastery of sentence structure. Both aspects need to be enhanced by the teacher in line with efforts to improve the ability to write descriptions of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Way Tuba.]]>

<![CDATA[People can now bring their music and podcast with them because of the existence of smartphones, which can hold a large number of tunes. New ways to listen to music every day when freemium music-streaming apps like Spotify arise. Spotify is one of the world's most popular music streaming services, having been created in 2008. It is a multimedia program that may also be used to teach listening skills. This research aimed to identify if Spotify can help students improve their English listening skills. The researchers distribute a questionnaire to students to see how Spotify affects their English listening skills. This research uses using sampling technique: The purposive Sampling Technique. The results revealed that students could enhance their listening skills by utilizing Spotify in an English listening class. This research also revealed that listening to Spotify daily can help students improve their English listening skills and succeed in various English courses. According to the study, Spotify can assist students in improving their English listening skills. More studies could be done to investigate multimedia applications to help students improve their listening skills.]]>
