Abstract

Citrus are a local fruit that is widely available on the market. The quality of citrus fruit can be influenced by various factors, including attacks by Citrus Vein Phloem Degeneration (CVPD). CVPD is a disease of citrus plants, known as citrus greening, yellow shoot, leaf mottle (Philippines), likubin or decline (Taiwan), citrus dieback (India), blotchy-mottle or mottling disease (Africa); with the international name huanglongbing (China). CVPD disease is classified as one of the important diseases in citrus plants which has developed widely and is the main obstacle to efforts to develop and increase orange production in Bali. PCR analysis to detect the presence of CVPD disease is carried out using specific primers from 16S rDNA. Based on the results of observing symptoms in Karangasem Regency, the percentage of damage due to CVPD ranges from 61% to 87%. The average percentage of citrus plants showing symptoms of CVPD attack was 72.67%, the lowest percentage was experienced by tangerines and the highest was shown by Selayar oranges (87%).

Abstract

One type of vegetable plant that has high benefits and economic value is mustard greens or pakcoy. Although production is still quite high, productivity shows a decline. This is due to the narrowing of agricultural land, so that people's need for food is decreasing. The urban farming plant cultivation system by utilizing limited home yard areas makes the use of polybags absolutely necessary. There needs to be testing for the dose of compost needed to influence the growth and yield of pakcoy plants using compost produced by TPS3R Baktiseraga Village with raw materials originating from household waste in the form of kitchen waste and leaf waste. Based on the results of the study, the treatment of various doses of household compost from TPS3R Baktiseraga Village had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, root length, total fresh weight, and total dry weight of plants. The treatment of a compost dose of 100 g.polybag-1 showed the highest results in the parameters of plant height, root length, total fresh weight, and total dry weight of plants. Keyword: , ,
