Abstract

In today highly sophisticated manufacturing industry, of course,the best product results are needed. Machining work, especially on CNC turning machining needs to be considered roughness level. The lower the roughness level,  the better the workmanship will be. For this reason it is necessary to pay attention to the parameters used so that the roughness of the product is getting lower. This study aims to determine the best parameters. The machining process is carried out on the MORI SEIKI SL-25B/500 CNC turning and S45C material. Parameters used consist of  feed motion, feed thickness, and spindle speed. The experimental design was based on the taguchimethod with an orthogonal L9(33) matrix and 2 times of replication as a comparison, there was no significant deviation. From the research, the contribution of feeding motion is 49,734%, feeding thickness is 19,239%, and spindle speed is 7,334%. The smallest roughness in the MORI SEIKI SL25B/500 CNC turning machining process was obtained from setting the feed motion 0.2 mm/rev, feeding thickness 1 mm, and spindle speed 2000 rev/minute.

Abstract

The success of the world's manufacturing industry to improve production processes is strongly influenced by the production machine tools used. Shaft is a product that requires a low surface roughness value during lathe processing, especially the Tornos Geminis S.L. semi-automatic lathe. The purpose of this study was to determine the surface roughness of carbon steel. This study uses parameters that affect the shape of the surface roughness value of the SKD11 material, namely the spindle rotation rate (1000 Rpm, 760 Rpm, 610 Rpm), feed depth level (0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm)) and feeding speed. (0.8mm)/put, 0.9mm/put, 0.10mm/put). The lowest value of surface roughness of the Skd 11 material was obtained with a spindle speed of 1000 Rpm, feed rate of 0.9 mm/put and depth of cut 0.4 mm, and a surface roughness value of 1.636 m.

Abstract

Friction welding is a type of welding that connects two materials with the heat generated by the material itself so that it does not require additional materials. Heat can occur due to the presence of two objects rubbing against each other so that the material can melt and there is a connection due to forging process. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact strength of friction welding joints. The material used in this research is low carbon steel St.41 in the form of of a solid cylinder which has a diameter of 13mm. From the research that has been done, it is found that friction welding using 720 and 1000 rpm have better joint strength than using 450 rpm, which means that specimens with 720 and 1000 rpm have a higher amount of energy absorbed and impact values than specimens using 450 rpm.

Abstract

Musong is a wholesaler of healthy drinks, especially Bangka wild forest honey located in Bangka Belitung. trading activities are still manual and advertising and promotions are still limited. For that we want a data framework that can develop to promote and cooperate with the exchange of transactions so that it is more effective, fast and simple without being hindered by distance and time. The purpose of this study is to develop a business data framework for a website-based Musong store. Therefore, a CODEIGNITER-BASED MUSONG STORE SYSTEM is planned or known as a Web-based business. This application is designed as simple as possible to make it easier for clients to buy goods at the Musong shop online whenever and wherever without taking up time. The use of the site is relied on to expand the scope of advertising, expand the offering.

Abstract

The machining process achieved with a CNC–Turning type SL25 B/500 based on the minimum surface roughness value, the reason for setting the variables smooth but contrary to the processing time because the longer the machining, the smoother the results. On the other hand, the longer the machining process, the more the costs involved. The research that has been conducted aims to determine the contribution of the CNC Turning process variables type SL-25 B/500 to reduce variations in the response of the workpiece surface roughness. This research also wants to achieve the suitable setting of the work variable of the SL-25 B/500 CNC turning machine to obtain the minimum (smaller is better) using a surfafe roughness test tool. The work variable that we want to work on are spindle rotation, feeding depth, and feeding motion. We determined the experiment design based on the Taguchi method and an orthogonal L18 matrix (21 x 37). Then to avoid interference, replication was carried out 2 times. This research proves the precise and accurate combination of work variable parameter settings to achieve the minimum surface roughness are spindle rotation of 640 put/min, feeding depth of 1 mm, and feeding motion of 0.05 mm/rev. The average of the surface roughness using the initial settings in the 16th combination experiment is 1,362 m.

Abstract

Pepper dryer technology often results in an unstable process that affects the drying consistency. This study aims to obtain a monitoring system for temperature, hot air velocity, and humidity of a pepper dryer using Arduino technology. The design of electrical hardware tools using "Fritzing" software. The system components use Arduino as a microcontroller and DS18B20 temperature sensor, DHT22 humidity sensor, wind speed sensor and LCD. System testing was carried out on a pepper dryer to determine the system's ability to measure and display the results of temperature, air velocity and humidity sensor measurements. The measurement of sensor accuracy is carried out by comparing the results of system measurements on the LCD with a thermometer, anemometer and hygrometer in the span of 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes. The test results show that the drying system operating parameter monitoring system is able to measure and display the results on the LCD with a temperature parameter error rate of 0.54% (99.46%), air flow velocity 0.3% (99.7% accuracy) and humidity. 0% (100% accuracy). The test results show that the drying system's operating parameter monitoring system is able to measure and display the results on the LCD with an accuracy of 0.54% temperature, +/- 1.25% air velocity and 0% humidity. The value of the monitoring results is used as an indicator to regulate the temperature and air velocity can be maintained according to the required value, while the humidity value indicates the water content in the material.

Abstract

ST 60 steel is a medium carbon steel that is often used in machine construction such as shafts and shipbuilding, but impact loads often occur. The purpose of this study was to determine the best toughness of st60 steel from the effect of temperature on the hardening process. The method used for data processing in this study is the two way ANOVA method without interaction. The variables used in this study were temperature (900, 930, 950⁰C) and holding time (30, 60, 90 minutes). The best toughness results were obtained at a temperature of 900⁰C with a holding time of 30 minutes (2.5934 J/mm2) with the lowest toughness results were obtained at a temperature of 950⁰C and a holding time of 90 minutes was obtained at (2.5588 J/mm2).

Abstract

3D printing technology is the latest technology in the field of Additive layer manufacturing (AM). One of the AM that is currently being developed is Rapid Prototyping (RP) based on FDM, the FDM type uses polymer melted by heating then extruded through a nozzle as ink and deposited on the printer table to produce 3D objects layer by layer (layer by layer). In this research, the filament used is PETG (Polyethylene terephthalate Glycol) filament. In this study, the taguchi L9 () OA method was used. This study aims to determine the effect of the process parameters used in tensile testing in accordance with the process parameters used, namely Nozzel Temperature, Bed Temperature, Wall Thicknes, and Infill Speed. The results showed that the parameters that greatly influenced the tensile test using PETG filament were Bed Temperature (70°C), Nozzle Temperature (230°C), Wall Thickness (0.8 mm), and Infill Speed ​​(40 mm/s).

Abstract

Additive manufacturing is a technology for creating real objects directly from CAD models. One of them is 3D printing FDM. The advantages of this technology are that it can print various shapes such as cups and bowls, the material is easy to obtain, low maintenance costs and unattended operation, but it has limitations, one of which is related to the dimensional accuracy of the prints, as a result the resulting product is still not in accordance with the desired design. The final setting of control factors in the optimal FDM 3D printing process is recognized as one of the most important steps to improve product quality. Research on determining the control factors of the Anycubic 4max machine on the bush products made of nylon filament. Varied control factors are nozzle temperature, bed temperature, layer thickness, wall thickness, flowrate, print speed, overlap, infill density, infill speed. Experimental design and optimization using the Taguchi method. The experimental design uses an L27 orthogonal matrix with 3 levels. The results showed that the highest dimensional accuracy was at experimental number 20 with a value of 9.97 mm and the smallest was at experimental number 1 with a value of 9.71 mm. Control factors that affect the FDM 3D printing process, respectively, are layer thickness, nozzle temperature, bed temperature, flowrate, infill speed, overlap, wall thickness, printing speed, and infill density.

Abstract

Friction welding is a method of reasoning that is carried out to obtain welds by rubbing the ends of two workpieces. so that the contact surface will be hot, and the metal surface in the area becomes liquid. In these hot conditions, the friction between the two metals is stopped, resulting in a welded joint. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in friction time on the impact strength of the friction welding process on ST37 steel. ST37 steel used is a solid cylinder with a diameter of 13mm. This study uses an experimental method, with variations in the friction time of 4 minutes, 5 minutes. and 6 minutes with a speed of 720 rpm, and a distance of 3 mm pressing. From this research, it was found that welding with a friction time of 6 minutes produced the highest value for the absorbed energy of 49.73 joules, and for the impact value of 1.740 joules/mm², while the lowest value was at a friction time of 4 minutes with the energy values ​​being absorbed is 32.03 joules, and the impact price is 1.119 joules/mm².
