Abstract

The implementation of Smart City Policy has been applied in several cities in Indonesia including Ternate City which has been applied since 2017. In its implementation there are still obstacles faced in the form of budget limitations, human resources and community participation. This research aims to find out the implementation of Smart City policy in Ternate City, this research uses descriptive with qualitative approach. The results of the study can reveal several important things related to the implementation of smart city policies such as; First, budget constraints due to budget refocusing factors that occur at almost all levels of government in order to focus on handling covid-19, so that the SPBE master plan draft has not been implemented and internet capacity spending is still small which results in not all areas of Ternate City getting free internet facilities. Second, the aspect of the availability of human resources that are representative and able to become a motor in the movement of smart city policy implementation. Diskomsandi still needs many more experts even though the current Diskomsandi staff are qualified enough for that, but on a further development scale, of course, the Ternate City Communication, Information and Standardization Office really needs more qualified experts. Third, the aspect of the Command Center, the unavailability of Command Center facilities where data related to the implementation of smart city policies can be centralized all at the Ternate City Communication, Informatics and Coding Office.

Abstract

In the agricultural sector of Central Java, this study examines the relationship between supply chain effectiveness, government policies, infrastructure development, and farmers' income. This study investigates the current status of infrastructure accessibility, government regulations, supply chain dynamics, and income sources through quantitative analyses involving 250 farmers. To verify and examine the correlation between the variables, structural equation modelling with partial least squares, or SEM-PLS, was used. Variations in the level of supply chain efficiency, farmers' attitudes towards government policies, infrastructure quality, and income distribution are shown by descriptive statistics. All proposed hypotheses were supported by the structural model, and the measurement model showed excellent levels of validity and reliability. The results of this study highlight the importance of infrastructure, sensible public policies, and efficient supply chains in increasing farmers' income. There is a discussion of practical consequences and suggestions for stakeholders and policymakers, with a focus on the need for focused action to improve the socio-economic conditions of farmers in Central Java. Although the statistical relationship between these variables is strong, farmers and the government are highly interdependent, so the real implications for the government to improve farmers in Central Java include regulation and distribution similar to other big cities.

Abstract

When managed well, an organization's workforce's diversity of abilities may be a huge strategic advantage, fostering innovation and aiding in problem-solving abilities. Employers may encounter difficulties when employees work remotely and possess implicit knowledge. It is possible to transform seemingly ordinary knowledge into extraordinary knowledge when trustworthy management is in place. Using a qualitative descriptive method, this research attempts to examine the best knowledge management concepts, particularly those linked to tacit knowledge management. In order to obtain relevant and reliable results, we employ discourse analysis and narrative analysis procedures after accumulating data from literature, articles, and prior study notes using documentation techniques. This will also assist in developing the concept into a large, clear, and understandable thought. These results suggest that only in organizations with robust knowledge management systems can organizational innovation and issue solving take place. These results support the knowledge management hypothesis and offer further evidence that entrepreneurs can overcome the challenges posed by distant workers who possess tacit knowledge by maximizing knowledge management.

Abstract

The success and expansion of technology companies in Indonesia are examined in this study, with a particular emphasis on the role played by infrastructure, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, government assistance, innovation, and investment. A survey-based quantitative analysis was carried out on a sample of 226 technology startups from different industries. Partial Least Squares (PLS) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were used to examine the connections between the previously listed components. The results show that government support, innovation, infrastructure, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and investment are all significantly positively correlated. Startups' capacity to attract investment is positively impacted by improved infrastructure, a friendly entrepreneurial ecosystem, efficient government policies, and an emphasis on innovation. The significance of creating a favorable atmosphere for innovation and startup development in Indonesia is highlighted by these findings, providing crucial insights for policy-makers and investors in fostering a thriving tech sector.

Abstract

Value networks, industry experience, and innovation are some of the elements that impact the performance of start-up enterprises in Indonesia. Using a survey of 200 start-up founders, executives, and stakeholders, this quantitative study seeks to investigate the connections between these variables and start-up performance with SEM-PLS version 4. The results show a strong positive correlation between start-up performance, industry experience, value network, and innovation. In particular, start-ups with broad and varied networks, seasoned business owners, and an innovative culture typically see increases in revenue growth, market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The findings highlight how crucial it is to support innovation-driven projects, cultivate strategic alliances, and invest in human capital to increase start-up success in Indonesia. These conclusions have ramifications for business owners, financiers, decision-makers, and professionals in the field who aim to steer clear of the unstable terrain of the Indonesian startup scene and stimulate economic expansion via innovation and entrepreneurship. The real implications of this study emphasize the need for targeted policy measures and strategic investments that foster a conducive environment for innovation, enhance networking opportunities, and leverage industry expertise. These efforts can significantly contribute to the robustness and competitiveness of Indonesian start-ups, driving sustainable economic growth and development.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the home industry sector managed by housewives have significant potential in supporting the local and national economy. This research aims to identify the impact of training and mentoring on the development of MSMEs in Klambir Lima Village, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The research problem raised is whether the training and assistance provided can effectively improve the development of MSMEs managed by housewives. The methodology used is a quantitative approach with a census method on 49 MSME actors in the village. The research results show that training and mentoring do not have a significant impact on the development of MSMEs (t-calculated value for training -1.456 < t-table 1.677; significance 0.152 > 0.05 and t-calculated value for mentoring 0.739 < t-table 1.677; significant 0.464 > 0.05). On the other hand, the marketing aspect has a significant positive impact on the development of MSMEs (t-value 3.134 > t-table 1.677; significance 0.003 < 0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis shows that training, mentoring and marketing simultaneously have a significant impact on the development of MSMEs (F value 3.336 > F-table 2.50; significance 0.028 < 0.05), with marketing as the most crucial factor. In conclusion, an effective marketing strategy is the key to increasing the productivity and development of MSMEs. More focused support on marketing aspects, as well as improving the quality of training and mentoring, is needed to help MSMEs overcome challenges and improve their performance.
