Abstract

Student’s understanding of the material on riba fiqh in class X-C MAN 1 Garut is still relatively low, as evidenced by the results of the pre-cycle test with a learning completion of only 27.78%. One alternative solution to overcome this problem is to implement a poster-style formative assessment that aims to gradually improve students' understanding. This study aims to describe the increase in students' understanding of the material on riba fiqh through the implementation of a poster-style formative assessment. The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with a cycle of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through an understanding test reinforced by observation and document study. The results showed that the implementation of the poster-style formative assessment was able to significantly improve students' understanding, both in the aspects of knowledge, analysis, and application of the concept of riba according to the cognitive stages in Bloom's taxonomy. Learning completion increased from 27.78% in the pre-cycle to 72.22% (24 students) in cycle I and 97.22% (35 students) in cycle II from a total of 36 students. Thus, the poster model formative assessment has been proven to improve the quality of learning of riba fiqh material at MAN 1 Garut. Abstract

The phenomenon of declining morals of students in SMPN has become a serious problem. Deviant behavior such as lack of social awareness, low discipline, and weakening of mutual respect shows the importance of learning that does not only focus on cognitive aspects, but also affective and psychomotor. The purpose of this study is to find out: (1). The description of the internalization of social piety values ​​through Islamic Religious Education learning at SMPN 3 Bayongbong, (2) The description of the process of forming noble morals of students at SMPN 3 Bayongbong (3). The description of the implications of internalization of social piety values ​​through Islamic Religious Education learning process on the formation of noble morals of students at SMPN 3 Bayongbong. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The data sources used are primary sources of observation, interviews, and documentation and secondary sources of other references from various sources that can support this research. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions by maintaining the validity of the data through triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the internalization of social piety values ​​at SMPN 3 Bayongbong through Islamic Religious Education learning that emphasizes teacher role models, habituation of religious activities, and religious extracurricular activities. The implication is that students show positive changes in aspects of noble morals, which are reflected in increased attitudes of discipline, responsibility, social concern and politeness. Abstract

Critical thinking is an essential skill that students must possess to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems logically and systematically. However, many students still demonstrate weaknesses in this skill. One effective solution is the implementation of a case study learning model, which actively engages students in analyzing real-life problems, evaluating arguments, and finding evidence-based solutions. This approach not only facilitates theoretical understanding of concepts but also trains students to think critically in dealing with complex situations, making learning more meaningful and relevant. This study aims to describe: (1) the application of the case study learning model in Phase F of Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh), (2) students’ critical thinking skills, and (3) the effect of the application of the case study learning model on students’ critical thinking skills. The study used a descriptive quantitative method with data collection techniques through observation, documentation studies, and questionnaires on 36 students. The analysis results showed an average application of the case study learning model of 4.58 in the “Very Good” category and a critical thinking ability of 4.16 in the “Very Good” category. Statistical tests show that there is an influence of the application of the case study learning model on critical thinking skills of 51.4%, while 48.6% is influenced by other factors. Abstract

This research discusses increasing students' abilities in solving problems in Al Qur'an Hadith subjects through a religious literacy approach at MAN 1 Garut. The ability to solve problems is an important skill that students must have in understanding religious teachings and applying them in everyday life. However, in reality, this ability in phase F students is still relatively low. This is proven by the results of observations which show students' achievement in problem solving, namely 33% out of 100% who are able to analyze and solve problems well. Therefore, an effective learning approach is needed, one of which is through religious literacy. Religious literacy is a learning strategy that combines understanding religious texts with critical thinking skills. The aim of this research is to describe the significance of the application of religious literacy in improving problem-solving abilities in the Al-Qur'an Hadith Phase F subject. This research uses a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, ability tests, interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique uses simple quantitative descriptive analysis to calculate the average and percentage increase in students' abilities. Based on the results of research conducted over two cycles, there was an increase in problem solving abilities in the pre-cycle of 38% of a total of 36 students, in the first cycle it was 55.6% and increased again in the second cycle to 88.9%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the religious literacy approach has had a significant impact on increasing problem-solving abilities, with an overall increase of 55.9% from pre-cycle to cycle II. Abstract

Student discipline is very important, but the discipline of phase E students is still low, indicated by students who are still late to class, use mobile phones during the learning process, and are late in submitting assignments. The success of learning is highly dependent on the application of varied methods, by presenting diverse methods, learning not only becomes more inclusive, but also students can understand the material in depth, stimulate creativity, and build higher motivation and involvement, thus making students more disciplined in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of a varied learning approach in improving the discipline of phase E students in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject at MAN 1 Garut. This study uses a descriptive qualitative analysis method. Data collection methods are by observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data sources used in this study are primary sources, namely data sources obtained directly from the results of observations and interviews conducted with information providers and secondary sources, namely books, journals, the internet and so on. The data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of a varied learning approach can improve the discipline of Phase E students in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject at MAN 1 Garut. Abstract

Creating a conducive and well-maintained school environment to support learning and foster an environmentally conscious character. Observations at Al-Hikmah Tarogong Kaler Junior High School, Garut, showed that students did not fully understand the concept of environmental conservation, were inconsistent in their environmental stewardship, and lacked skills in environmental maintenance practices. This situation demonstrates the need for an innovative learning model that not only enhances knowledge but also fosters active and independent student attitudes and skills. Previous research has shown that project-based learning effectively improves learning outcomes focused on Mathematics. The novelty of this research lies in the application of project-based learning to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects within the Independent Curriculum, emphasizing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The application of project-based learning with the theme "Conserving Nature and Protecting Life" in PAI Phase D aims to develop cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in an integrated manner. The method used was descriptive quantitative with 70 students as respondents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, analyzed using multiple linear regression using SPSS version 26. The results showed that project-based learning had a 33% effect on cognitive learning outcomes, a 16.4% effect on affective learning outcomes, and a 25.4% effect on psychomotor learning outcomes. This model effectively improves learning outcomes while fostering environmental awareness in accordance with the principles of the Independent Curriculum.  Keywords: Project-Based Learning, Student Learning Outcomes, Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

Education is the process of changing a person's behavior and ethics towards a better life and direction, while morals are a reflection of one's soul. The cultivation of morals is very important, considering the reality of many students who violate school, religious and state rules. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of Islamic religious education values ​​​​about social morals among students, through the subject of Islamic Religious Education and Character Building phase D. The method used in this study is a descriptive research method using a qualitative approach. The data sources used are primary data sources (Interviews, observations, and documentation) and secondary data sources (Books and journals that add to the primary data), while the data analysis technique goes through four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the application of Islamic religious education values ​​regarding the morals of social interaction among students, through the subjects of Islamic religious education and character education phase D, in the program of implementing Islamic religious education values ​​including morning dhikr, dhuha prayer, Monday-Thursday fasting, dzuhur and ashar prayers in congregation, etc., in the process of implementing Islamic religious education values ​​runs well and smoothly, and for the morals of social interaction among students in phase D it can be said to be quite good. Abstract

This study focuses on improving the ability to write the verses of the Qur'an through the Follow the Line method in the subject of Al-Qur'an Hadith phase D at MTs Cokroaminoto Karangtengah Garut. The ability to write the Qur'an is one of the Arabic language skills that is highly demanded for students to master. However, students in phase D in class VIII-B MTs Cokroaminoto Karangtengah still have low writing skills. The results of pre-research observations showed that students who already have the ability to write the Qur'an were only around 40% of the total 33 students. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of the Follow the Line Method in improving students' writing skills. This research method is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Data collection is carried out through tests, observations, and interviews. The CAR data analysis technique only uses simple statistical formulas to calculate the average value and percentage of students' ability to write the verses of the Qur'an. Based on the results of classroom action research conducted in two cycles, students' ability to write verses of the Qur'an increased to 60% in the first cycle and to 40% in the second cycle. This shows that students' ability to write verses of the Qur'an increased by 20% from the pre-cycle to the first cycle and 80% in the second cycle. So, over all there is an increase in students' ability to write verses of the Qur'an with a significance of 40% from the pre-cycle to cycle II.  Keywords: ability to write verses of the Qur'an, follow the line method

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of religious moderation values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMKN 1 Garut, Indonesia, to support inclusive education amid religious and ethnic diversity. SMKN 1 Garut has approximately 25–30 non-Muslim students from Christian, Catholic, and Sunda Wiwitan faiths, which requires attitudes of tolerance, justice, and balance in social interactions. Religious moderation aims to instill these attitudes in accordance with the teachings of the Qur’an and Pancasila values. This study describes the implementation of religious moderation values, the strategies employed, and the challenges encountered. A qualitative descriptive method was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through triangulation. The results show that religious moderation has been integrated into the curriculum, social interactions, and school culture. Teachers act as facilitators in instilling values of tolerance, balance, and justice. Strategies include inclusive approaches, varied learning models, and programs such as Morning Share and Smarttren that promote moderate attitudes. The challenges faced include a lack of religious teachers for non-Muslim students, limited teaching methods, and teachers’ low proficiency in technology.Keywords: Implementation of Religious Moderation Values, Islamic Religious Education Learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study still has a low tolerance attitude in schools that affects educated people in the community. So it can help to preserve peaceful harmony among tolerant religious people. The purpose of this study is to understand the concept of tolerance in islamic education. The methods used in this study are qualitative methods with a case study approach, data is obtained through: observations, observations, in-depth interviews, and reviewing documents with the participants of his research are the foundation, the principal, teachers and students. The attempts by pai teacher to instill tolerance attitude through classroom and classroom learning and to find out the tolerant student profile in junior high school sexuality. Data was analysed through transkiologic stages, data organization, coding, and triangulation of research found that in general; 1). The learner already knows the concept of tolerance in religious circles among students at the main school of su, with an indicator of students' attitude respecting and honoring the differences between tribes, religions, RACES, and classes, 2). The teacher has made an effort to instill tolerance in the learner by learning inside the class; Silabus, RPS, modules, evaluations, and assessments.3). Found two character profiles of conscientious learners in administering an attitude of tolerance and still not carrying out an attitude of tolerance.
