Abstract

This research is based on the still low level of student participation in classroom learning. One model that can enhance student participation is the Classroom Meeting Learning Model. However, initial observations revealed that the percentage of student learning activity was still below 50%. This was evident from students' inability to present their work, participate in tasks, and ask questions to peers or educators when they did not understand the issues they were facing during the Classroom Meeting learning model. The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) the Classroom Meeting learning model in Islamic Education (PAI) Phase E; 2) the student learning activity in Islamic Education (PAI) Phase E; and 3) the impact of the Classroom Meeting learning model on student learning activity in Islamic Education (PAI) Phase E at SMA IT At-Ta'awun Sukaresmi Garut. This study was conducted over a period of three months. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection was done through observation, documentation study, and a questionnaire filled out by 31 students who were the samples in this study, while data processing was done through statistical data analysis using linear regression. Based on the results of the data analysis regarding the Classroom Meeting learning model, the average score obtained was 4, which falls into the "Very Good" category. This indicates that the Classroom Meeting learning model has an impact on student learning activity. Meanwhile, based on the analysis of student learning activity data, the average score obtained was 3.90, which falls into the "High" category. This shows that the application of this model is an appropriate solution to enhance student learning activity. According to statistical tests, there is an effect of the Classroom Meeting learning model on student learning activity, accounting for 29.7%, which is categorized as "Low", while other factors influencing student learning activity account for 70.3%, but were not examined in this study.  Keywords: classroom meeting learning model, learning engagement, islamic religious education.

Abstract

The current reality is that many individuals do not fully grasp how the principles of frugal living are articulated in the Qur'an. People often spend their resources freely, without reflecting on the implications and advantages of their purchases. While a fondness for wealth is not inherently negative, it can lead to complacency, greed, and stinginess. The Qur'an serves as a guiding framework for humanity, embedding essential values that promote high ethical standards and morals, including the admonition against being miserly and wasteful. This study aims to elucidate the educational values associated with simple living as interpreted from the Qur'an, specifically Surah Al-Isra' verse 29, and to explore the implications of Islamic education in daily life. The research methodology employed is a literature review, which involves examining various texts, commentaries, journals, and other relevant publications on the subject matter. A qualitative research approach is utilized, focusing on content analysis of Surah Al-Isra' verse 29 and its interpretations. The findings of this study reveal that Surah Al-Isra', verse 29, conveys significant moral teachings, advocating for a simple lifestyle while discouraging stinginess and extravagance in financial matters. This verse illustrates that the most prudent way to utilize one's wealth is through frugality, decency, and rationality. Consequently, Islam encourages individuals to lead a simple life, emphasizing a balance between worldly pursuits and spiritual obligations. Within the realm of Islamic education, these values contribute to the development of virtuous character in the management and expenditure of wealth. Islamic education encompasses the principles of instilling religious values to nurture faith and devotion to Allah SWT. It is important to note that Islamic education is intrinsically linked to character education, as both aim to cultivate a character that is devoted and pious towards Allah SWT.  Keywords: educational values, simple living, Islamic education

Abstract

In the material of the procrdure for major purification of hadas, students often experience difficulties in implementing it because of the many differences of opinion, especially for students who are new to the material. To overcome this, the problem-based learning (PBL) model is the right choice to improve understanding through a more conceptual approach. The PBL model focuses on the use of problems as a starting point for learning where teachers present peoblems that are relevant to everyday life so as to encourage students to think critically. This study aims to describe the implementation of the PBL model for students on the material of the procedure for purification of major hadas in the fiqh subject phase e at MAN 1 Garut. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptivr-survey method throug interviews and observations of student behavior. Primary data were obtained from interviews with fiqh feachers and also student interviews. While secondary data sources were obtained from graphie documents such as teaching modules,photod, teaching resources. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the problem-based learning model had a significant influence on students’ undersing of the material of the procedure for major purification of hadas in the fiqh subject phase e at MAN 1 Garut. This study revealed thet students’ contributions wewe greater than the use of other learning models.  Keywords: Problem Based Learning

Abstract

This study discusses improving students' understanding of the culture of Mecca before Islam through web-based teaching materials in SKI lessons. SKI lessons play a significant role in building students' understanding. However, in reality, students lack understanding and are less active during learning because the learning process has not utilised teaching materials aligned with learning objectives. This is evidenced by the results of the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria, which only reached approximately 30% of the 33 students. Therefore, solutions are needed to improve this situation, one of which is the implementation of web-based teaching materials. The objective of this study is to describe the level of students' understanding of the material on the Culture of Mecca Society Before Islam before and after the implementation of web-based teaching materials. The method used was Classroom Action Research. Based on the results of the classroom action research conducted over two cycles, there was an increase in understanding in Cycle I to 64% with a satisfactory rating, followed by another increase in Cycle II to 100% with a good rating. It can be understood that there was an increase in understanding with a significance of 34% from the pre-cycle to cycle I and 36% from cycle I to cycle II. Therefore, overall, there was an increase in students' understanding with a significance of 70% from the pre-cycle to cycle II.  Keywords: Web-based Teaching Materials; Improved Understanding

Abstract

Bullying remains a widespread phenomenon in Indonesia, including in educational settings. Observations by researchers and Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers indicate that bullying has occurred at school, taking various forms. Guidance and Counseling (BK) data from school in 2024 recorded that the dominant forms of bullying were verbal (40%), relational (30%), cyberbullying (20%), and physical (10%). This situation underscores the importance of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in understanding the various efforts made to address bullying in schools. This study aims to describe the forms of bullying behavior and the efforts of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in overcoming bullying behavior at school. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Both primary and secondary data sources were used. Data analysis involved four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that bullying behavior at school encompassed three forms: verbal bullying in the form of teasing, relational bullying in the form of exclusion, and cyberbullying, namely teasing on social media. Islamic Religious Education teachers addressed these issues through two approaches: preventive measures, integrating Islamic values ​​into learning, increasing religiosity through religious activities, and implementing the P5 program. Curative measures, including personal counseling, providing advice and role models, implementing educational sanctions, and collaborating with parents. Abstract

This study discusses improving students' ability to read the Qur'an through the albarqy method in the Qur'an Hadith subject. This is based on the ability to read the Qur'an, which is an individual's skill to read the Qur'an properly and correctly in accordance with the applicable rules. However, in reality, the ability of phase E students, especially those in class X-B MAN 1 Garut, to read the Qur'an is still relatively low. This is evidenced by the results of pre-research observations which show that only about 27.8% of the total 36 students have the ability to read the Qur'an. Therefore, a solution is needed to improve this, one of which is by applying the Albarqy method. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of students to read the Qur'an through the application of the Albarqy method to improve the ability of students to read the Qur'an in the Qur'an Hadith phase E subject at MAN 1 Garut. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR). Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and tests. Based on the results of the classroom action research conducted in two cycles, there was an increase in students' ability to read the Qur'an in cycle I to 44.4%, then another increase in cycle II to 86.1%. It can be understood that there was an increase in students' ability to read the Qur'an with a significance of 16.6% from the pre-cycle to cycle I and 41.7% from cycle I to cycle II. Thus, overall, there was an increase in students' ability to read the Qur'an with a significance of 58.3% from the pre-cycle to cycle II.  Keywords: Student Ability; Reading the Qur'an; Albarqy Method

Abstract

The problem of bullying in schools is a major concern because of its detrimental impact on students' mental and social development, and many students are not yet fully aware of the negative impacts of bullying and the importance of building mutual respect among each other. Therefore, it is important for schools to instill anti-bullying awareness in students to create a safe and harmonious learning environment. One approach that is considered effective in increasing anti-bullying awareness is by using a role-playing learning model, which allows students to understand the situations and feelings of others through direct experience. The purpose of this study is to describe the effect of implementing a role-playing learning model on students' anti-bullying awareness in the Islamic Religious Education Phase D subject. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The data collection methods used are observation, documentation studies, and questionnaires. The research objects were 82 Phase D students. The results showed that the role play learning model had an effect on the anti-bullying awareness of Phase D students by 82.7% at a significance level with a predetermined probability value of 5% and was proven by the Adjusted R Square value of 0.827 if it was expressed as a percentage of 82.7% while other variables that were not studied influenced the personal awareness of students by 17.3%. Abstract

This study focuses on improving students' learning interest through animation media assisted by Canva in the Fiqh subject for Phase D at SMP IT Al Mashduqi. Learning interest is an internal drive within an individual that fosters a sense of attraction, desire, and enthusiasm to actively participate in the learning process. Learning interest is not only related to the desire to acquire knowledge but also includes motivation to make consistent efforts to achieve learning goals. However, the reality is that the learning interest of Phase D students, especially in Grade VII of SMP IT Al Mashduqi, remains relatively low. This is evidenced by pre-research observations, which showed that only about 19.35% of the total 31 students demonstrated an interest in learning. Therefore, a solution is needed to enhance this condition, one of which is by applying animation media assisted by Canva. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement in students' learning interest before and after the implementation of animation media, as well as to examine the application of animation media in increasing students' learning interest in the Fiqh subject for Phase D at SMP IT Al Mashduqi. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques in CAR involve simple statistical formulas to calculate the average and percentage of students' learning interest. Based on the results of the classroom action research conducted over two cycles, an increase in students' learning interest was observed. In Cycle I, students' learning interest reached 74.19%, and it further increased to 90.32% in Cycle II. This indicates that there was a significant improvement in students' learning interest, with an increase of 74.19% from the pre-cycle to Cycle I and an additional increase of 16.13% from Cycle I to Cycle II. Overall, there was a total increase of 70.97% in students' learning activity from the pre-cycle to Cycle II.  Keywords: Learning Interest, Animation Media, Fiqh

Abstract

Sharpening creative thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education is very necessary for the development of students. These creative thinking skills are needed to solve various kinds of problems. However, according to the Global Creativity Index (GCI) in 2017, it was stated that out of 127 countries researched, Indonesia was ranked 87th for the global creativity index with a score of 30.10. Likewise, the results of observations showed that the creative thinking skills of students in phase F of class XI-4 Animation of SMKN 4 Garut were still low, where only 38.10% of students were able to think creatively. To overcome this problem, the action taken was to apply the Experiential Learning method in Islamic Religious Education and Character Building learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of students' creative thinking skills using the Experiential Learning method. This study used the PTK research method, data collection techniques by conducting creative thinking ability tests on 21 students, interviews with teachers, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out through 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed that creative thinking skills can be improved after implementing the Experiential Learning method in phase F of class XI-4 Animation SMKN 4 Garut. The average creative thinking ability of students is in the good category because it can increase from 60% to 80%. Likewise, student learning outcomes from previously at an average of 45 increased to 80. Thus, all students have been able to meet the indicators of creative thinking skills comprehensively. Abstract

The era of globalization that we are currently experiencing, accompanied by rapid social changes, also affects students' understanding of learning materials, including in religious education. Although there is an increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects, the results are not yet satisfactory. In addition, the low level of their activeness and discipline during the learning process is also a significant challenge. Therefore, it is important to find an effective method to improve their understanding and learning achievement. The collaborative learning method was adopted because of its ability to increase student involvement, strengthen interactions between them, and encourage discussion and deeper understanding of PAI materials. This study aims to describe the effect of the collaborative learning method on student learning outcomes in PAI subjects phase D at SMP IT Husnul Khotimah Wanaraja Garut. In this study, the approach used is descriptive quantitative, with data collection through observation, documentation studies, and questionnaires distributed to 60 students as samples. Data processing is carried out through statistical analysis. The results of the analysis show that the collaborative learning method has a significant influence. This study revealed that the contribution of the studied factors to the cognitive learning outcomes of students reached 34.9%. On the other hand, the contribution to affective learning outcomes was 20.6%, and to psychomotor learning outcomes reached 15.6%. However, there were also other factors that contributed to cognitive learning outcomes up to 65.1%, affective learning outcomes by 79.4%, and psychomotor learning outcomes by 84.4%. It should be noted that although these factors have a large influence, they were not analyzed further in this study.  Keywords: collaborative learning methods, student learning outcomes, islamic religious education
