Abstract

Learning motivation is the overall psychic driving force within a person that causes learning activities and provides direction to those learning activities in order to achieve a goal. Based on that, learning motivation is one of the determining elements of student learning outcomes. However, in reality there are motivational problems that occur that indicate extrinsic motivation problems. This can be seen from the data obtained from the research location regarding the lack of appreciation in learning, the lack of interesting activities in learning and the lack of a conducive learning environment. The impact that occurs if students do not have motivation will be that there will be no goals and organized behavior. There are many things that can be done to improve student learning motivation, one of which is by implementing a cooperative learning model of the think pair share type which can create effective and enjoyable learning, is able to provide motivation, and can improve learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of implementing a cooperative learning model of the think pair share type on student learning motivation in the subject of Islamic Cultural History. Thus, to determine the effect of implementing a cooperative learning model of the think pair share type (Variable X), with student learning motivation in the subject of Islamic Cultural History (Variable Y). This type of research uses quantitative with descriptive methods. The data collection techniques are by means of questionnaires, observations, interviews and documentation studies. The subjects in this study were students of grades VII and VIII at MTs Darul Asyiqin Banyuresmi Garut, namely 87 students. The results of the study, Fcount> Ftable, namely 57.366> 3.95, then the decision taken is H0 is rejected, then Ha is accepted. Based on the calculation of the coefficient of determination, it shows that there is an influence of the application of the think pair share type cooperative learning model on student learning motivation by 40.3% and the remaining 59.7% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum proposed by the government in 2020-2021 presents the Pancasila Student Profile program in an effort to strengthen the character of students. This profile has been regulated in the Minister of Education and Culture regulation no. 22 of 2020. One of the profiles initiated is related to the dimension of global diversity. Q.S. Al-Hujurat verse 13, which is closely related to the dimension of global diversity, invites all mankind to maintain unity and diversity, help each other, foster a sense of compassion, because all humans come from one descent. There is no difference between men and women. Everyone is required to create peace in society and respect each other. The aim of writing this research is, 1) to find out how the Pancasila Student Profile is defined, 2) to find out how the concept of the Pancasila Student Profile has global diversity according to the Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Hujurat verse 13, and 3) to find out how relevant the Student Profile is. Pancasila has global diversity according to the Al-Qur'an letter Al-Hujurat verse 13 in the Independent Curriculum. This research uses a literacy study method. The results of the research explain that the Pancasila Student Profile's global diversity dimension has been stated in Surah Al-Hujurat verse 13 and there is relevance of the values ​​of the Pancasila Student Profile in the Independent Curriculum to the perspective of the verses in the Al-Qur'an, so that it can strengthen the character of students. . Apart from that, religion and nationalism can go hand in hand and be in harmony without any special dichotomy, provided that the Koran is always at the forefront and at the top.  Keywords: Pancasila Student Profile Values, Global Diversity, Al-Hujurat Verse 13

Abstract

This research discusses the application of audio visual learning media and its implications for improving students' abilities in reading the Al-Qur'an and Hadith in Qurdis subjects in Class VII-2 MTs. Al-Musaddadiyah Garut. The ability to read the Al-Qur'an is an individual's ability to read the Al-Qur'an properly and correctly in accordance with applicable rules. However, in reality the ability to read the Al-Qur'an of students in class VII-2 MTs. Al Musaddadiyah Garut is still relatively low, this is proven by the results of pre-research observations. Only around 44% of the 31 students demonstrated their ability to read the Koran effectively, this was due to several factors, including family factors where both parents were busy working and only lived with their grandmother. So there is a lack of supervision and attention, in addition to environmental factors that are less supportive, where after being asked this child often plays with his cellphone so he forgets time and disturbs his time for reciting the Koran, as a result he is reciting the Koran at home alone without assistance. After a home visit, the child turned out to be a victim of his parents' divorce. Meanwhile, his mother's whereabouts are unknown, so stimulus is needed, one of which is using learning media, namely audio-visual media. The aim of this research is to describe the significance of students' ability to read the Al-Qur'an and Hadith in Class VII-2 MTs. Al–Musaddadiyah Garut, describes the application of audio visual learning media to students' ability to read the Koran and Hadith in Class VII-2 MTs. Al–Musaddadiyah Garut, described the increase in students' ability to read the Al-Qur'an and Hadith in Class VII-2 MTs. Al-Musaddadiyah Garut Using Audio Visual Media and Its Implications. The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires, Al-Qur'an reading tests, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique in PTK only uses simple statistical formulas to find the average value and percentage of students' Al-Qur'an reading ability assessments. Based on the results of classroom action research conducted in two cycles, there was a quite drastic increase in students' ability to read the Al-Qur'an in cycle I to 71%, then experienced another increase in cycle II to 82%. It can be understood that there is an increase in the ability to read the Al-Qur'an from the results of the Al-Qur'an reading test with a significance of 27% from pre-cycle to cycle I and 11% from cycle I to cycle II. So, overall there was an increase in students' ability to read the Al-Qur'an with a significance of 38% from pre-cycle to cycle II.  Keywords: Islamic Religious Education, Ability to Read the Qur'an and Hadits, Audio Visual Media

Abstract

The personality competence of the teacher of moral beliefs affects the formation of student behavior, this condition is because learning not only produces changes in knowledge but also brings changes in students' attitudes or behaviors. Teachers as one of the spearheads in shaping students' behavior and morals have an important role, because the figure of the teacher in the child's view will be a benchmark for students' attitudes, both in the classroom and outside the classroom. In addition, researchers' attention to Islamic Religious Education has recently had problems related to the low character of students in schools which has become a sharp focus of the community. Seeing these problems, the purpose of this research is to describe the process of influencing the personality competence of moral faith teachers on student behavior. The subjects in this study are grade VIII students of MTs Al-Musaddadiyah Garut, which is 20 students. As for the results of the study, Fcal > Ftabel is 101.142 > 4.38, then the decision taken is H0 is rejected, then Ha is accepted. Based on the calculation of the determination coefficient, it shows that there is an influence of the personality competence of the moral faith teacher on student behavior by 77.5% and the remaining 22.5% is influenced by other factors that are not included in this study. Abstract

Islamic Religious Education is expected to be able to produce humans who always strive to perfect faith, piety and noble character which includes ethics, character or morals as a manifestation of education. A poor learning process is one of the problems in the world of education. Reflective thinking is one of the thoughts needed in the problem-solving process. The process of learning, researching, and solving problems will maximize the results if one's reflective thinking skills are good enough. The CTL model encourages learners to make connections between the knowledge they have and the application in their daily lives, so that CTL learning can get learners involved in meaningful activities and solidify the knowledge that learners have. This research focuses more on the implementation of the CTL model on the reflective ability of students in fiqh subjects. This research method uses descriptive analytical qualitative research, which is research that provides a description of factual and systematic situations and conditions regarding factors, properties, and relationships between phenomena owned to find out the basics. The results showed the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model for fiqhsubjects at MA Hidayatul Faizien Bayongbong Garut through the process of constructing in fiqh learning, encouraging students to find their own meaning (inquiry), encouraging students to know something by asking (questioning), creating a learning community, students modeling in fiqh learning, reflecting in fiqh learning, using authentic assessment in fiqh learning. Abstract

The success of the learning process in the classroom can be seen from students' interest in learning. Because students' interest in learning will achieve maximum results if teachers who are directly involved in the learning process have social competence, mastery of material broadly and deeply will not be conveyed properly to students if the teacher is unable to communicate actively with students. Teacher's social competence is the ability to communicate and interact actively and efficiently with students, other teachers, employees, parents, principals and the surrounding community.The purpose of this study is to describe; the influence of teacher's social competence on students' interest in learning Islamic religious education subjects. Thus, it can find out the extent of the influence of teacher social competence (Variable X) on student interest in learning (Variable Y). The method used in this study, is an inferential quantitative method, by collecting data or information about the phenomenon under study. Data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, questionnaires or questionnaires distributed to 57 respondents. While for data processing is done by statistical data analysis. The results showed that students' interest in learning in Islamic Religious Education subjects had an average of 26.59, thus the average value was in the interval area 2.01-3.00, including in a fairly good category. While the teacher's social competence has an average of 26.80, thus the average is in the interval area of 2.01-3.00, including in a fairly good category. Based on statistical tests, there is an effect of teacher social competence on student interest in Islamic religious education subjects by 32% which is categorized as good, while other factors that influence student learning outcomes as much as 68% students but are not examined in this study. Abstract

Education in Islam is inseparable from its primary sources of teaching, namely the Qur’an (including hadith and ijtihad). The Qur’an, as a guide and reference, provides broad guidelines and general principles regarding education from its perspective. The Qur’an contains numerous aspects of human life, offering unmatched guidance and wisdom about life, nature, and its contents, which remain inexhaustible for study and reflection. Surah Luqman, verses 13–19, presents several educational values encompassing the values of faith (aqidah), law (sharia), and morality (akhlaq). This study aims to describe the Islamic educational values contained in Surah Luqman, verses 13–19, within the scope of Islamic Education Studies. This research is a library study, which involves examining the interpretations of exegetes (mufassirun) regarding Surah Luqman, verses 13–19, along with written sources on Islamic educational values provided by scholars. The research method employed is a qualitative approach, focusing on content analysis of the Qur’an (Surah Luqman 13–19) and relevant literature. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the values contained in these verses include aqidah values, such as the prohibition of associating partners with Allah, the certainty of consequences for every deed, and the reality of the final return. The sharia values identified include the prohibition of obeying parents when their commands deviate from Islamic teachings, the establishment of prayer, doing good, and enjoining what is right while forbidding what is wrong. Finally, the akhlaq values emphasized include gratitude, humility (avoiding arrogance), and simplicity in life.  Keywords: Islamic educational values, Islamic education studies

Abstract

Self-awareness is crucial in the learning process, yet it remains a challenge among students. This is evident from students' inability to recognize their feelings and behaviors, identify their strengths and weaknesses, develop independence, make appropriate decisions, and effectively express their thoughts, feelings, opinions, and beliefs, which leads to low motivation for improving their learning processes. Therefore, the implementation of character education is an appropriate solution to address these issues. This study aims to describe the implementation of character education and its impact on the academic behavior of eighth-grade students at SMP Abdurahman Karangpawitan Garut. Based on the analysis conducted, the findings are as follows: (1) The implementation of character education among the eighth-grade students at SMP Abdurahman Karangpawitan Garut is satisfactory, as evidenced by 11 out of 20 respondents (55%) rating it as moderate. (2) The academic behavior of these students is also satisfactory, with all 20 respondents (100%) rating it as moderate. (3) There is a significant influence of character education implementation on the academic behavior of eighth-grade students, demonstrated by a t-value greater than the critical t-value, both at the 5% significance level (2.101) and the 1% significance level (2.878). The calculated t-value is 5.582 with N=20 at a significance level of 0.05 (5%) of 2.101 and at a significance level of 0.01 (1%) of 2.878, indicating that t-value > critical t-value or 5.582 > 2.101 > 2.878, thus rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho) and accepting the alternative hypothesis (Ha).  Keywords: Implementation of Character Education, Academic Behavior of Students

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing gender-oriented educational values ​​in Islamic Religious Education and Characteristics class 12 high school textbooks. Gender equality is an important issue that continues to be fought for, including in the context of education in Indonesia. Textbooks have a crucial role in shaping students' views and thinking patterns, so fair and equal representation is very necessary. This research aims to identify and evaluate the representation of gender equality and inequality values ​​in the textbook. The research method used is literature with a content analysis approach, which includes analysis of text illustrations, images, and material studies. This analysis was carried out to see the extent to which PAI and Budi Pekerti textbooks reflect the principles of gender equality. The results of the research show that male images and figures are more dominant than female in the textbook, even though several values ​​of gender equality are reflected. This gender inequality is seen in the use of models in inspirational texts and depictions of occupational fields, where men are more often represented in important or leadership roles. This research is expected to provide deeper insight into the integration and interpretation of gender values ​​in PAI and Budi Pekerti textbooks. It is hoped that these findings will encourage the revision of textbooks that are more balanced and responsive to gender equality issues, so that they can make a positive contribution to efforts to build a generation that is more aware and sensitive to the importance of gender equality.  Keywords: gender insight education, character and islamic religious education textbook

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education has an important role, including in terms of social elements. One of the materials in Islamic Religious Education that contains social values ​​and demands emphasis on aspects of affection and practice is taking care of corpses, which is a worship material in the Fiqh subject. In this material, each student is required to be able and skilled to practice it. The method is one of the ways used by teachers so that students can understand and even practice the material presented. One method that is suitable for delivering material on taking care of corpses is the demonstration method. This is the background for researchers to conduct this research. The objectives of this study are to describe; 1) students' skills in bathing corpses in the Fiqh subject of class IX MTs. Al-Musaddadiyah Garut; 2) the effectiveness of the demonstration method in bathing the corpse in the Fiqh subject of class IX MTs. Al-Musaddadiyah Garut; and 3) the effectiveness of the demonstration method on students' skills in bathing the corpse in the Fiqh subject of class IX MTs. Al-Musaddadiyah Garut. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. While the analysis technique used in this study is a descriptive analysis technique consisting of three flows, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that; 1) student skills in bathing corpses in class ix MTs.Al-Musaddadiyah scratch can be said to be successful, see 80% of students can carry out the practice test of fiqih learning especially on the sub-chapter of bathing corpses have met the minimum requirement criteria (KKM); 2) implementation of learning by using demonstration methods on fiqih subjects in particular on the sub-chapter bathing corpses is effective. And then;  3) the demonstration method is said to be effective in improving student body bath skills on fiqih subjects di MTs.Al-Musadadiyah Garut, because students not only understand but also are skilled at bathing bodies.  Keyword: Islamic Education, Demonstration Method, Body Bath Skills.
