Abstract

This study explores the legal frameworks, enforcement challenges, and economic implications of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in BRICS countries—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—using a normative juridical approach and qualitative analysis. The findings reveal significant disparities in the governance of IPR among these nations, with China and India leading in innovation and enforcement reforms, while Brazil, Russia, and South Africa face persistent challenges related to institutional capacity and judicial delays. Despite progress in aligning with international standards such as TRIPS, enforcement gaps and socio-economic priorities influence the effectiveness of IPR systems. The study also highlights the dual economic impact of IPR: fostering innovation and investment while raising concerns over access to essential goods. This research underscores the need for harmonized frameworks, enhanced enforcement mechanisms, and a balanced approach to innovation and equity in BRICS countries.

Abstract

This research explores the relationship between anxiety over math learning, the ability of time management, and emotional support on students' academic achievement among junior high school students in Indonesia. The data collected from 120 participants is assessed within a quantitative research design where surveys were administered using the 1-5 Likert scale. The tool to be used for analysis is known as structural equation modeling, partial least square-PLS3. The results indicated that math learning anxiety negatively impacts academic achievement, while time management ability and emotional support facilitate improvement in academic achievement. Both time management ability and emotional support act as mediators in the relationship between math learning anxiety and academic performance. These results highlight the need to reduce anxiety, develop time management skills, and build emotional support to improve students' academic performance. The study provides actionable insights for educators, parents, and policymakers in providing a supportive educational environment that ensures holistic student development.

Abstract

This study examines the legal mechanisms for the social reintegration of drug addicts, focusing on rehabilitation as a transformative approach to enabling individuals to re-enter society as productive citizens. Using a normative juridical analysis, the research explores the alignment of national legal frameworks with international human rights standards and evaluates the challenges in implementing rehabilitation-focused policies. Findings reveal that while laws and policies supporting rehabilitation exist, their effectiveness is hindered by societal stigma, inconsistent application, and resource limitations. The study emphasizes the need for policy alignment with international standards, expansion of community-based programs, public awareness campaigns, and strengthened monitoring systems. These measures are essential for creating a supportive legal and social environment conducive to the successful reintegration of drug addicts into society.

Abstract

The research investigates law's role in promoting transformative justice through social engineering, focusing on rehabilitation and reintegration processes of drug addicts into society. This study applies a normative-juridical approach to evaluate Indonesia's legal frameworks for their effectiveness in handling addiction as a public health issue. Comparative analyses with international models, such as the decriminalization in Portugal and harm reduction policies in the Netherlands, show what a change of heart in legal philosophy might achieve. The findings put forward the majors lacuna in the present legislation: undue punitive, lack of supportive infrastructure, and stigma among society. Recommendations offered by the study go on to include legislative reform for rehabilitation, supportive infrastructure development, public-private partnership for effective reintegration. This paper advocates for a compassionate justice system that embeds transformative justice principles into legal frameworks, promoting societal productivity and inclusivity.

Abstract

Hypothermy is a condition in which the body's temperature-delivering mechanism has difficulty coping with the stress of cold temperatures. Hypothermy can also mean that the temperature of body parts is below 36 0C (Potter & Perry 2015). In spinal anesthesia will lower the threshold of shivering to the hypothermic core in the first hour or after spinal anesthesia will decrease by about 1-2oC. Shivering usually occurs in the intraoperative period until the postoperative period. The incidence rate varies greatly between 5% and 65%, It is associated with the redistribution of body heat from the core compartment to the periphery and causes hypothermy (Alfonsi, 2009).

Abstract

Preoperative anxiety is an anticipatory response to an experience that is considered by the patient as a threat in the role of life, body integrity, and even life itself (Agustin, 2020). Influential factors are husband's support, postpartum complications, age, parity, and type of SC (Irawati, 2017 in Imani, 2020). The sources of preoperative anxiety are broadly divided into two, namely anxiety about anesthesia and anxiety about surgical procedures. (Jawaid M et.al, 2016). Spinal anesthesia techniques can be performed in Sectio Caesarea with the main advantages of this technique are the risk of aspiration in the mother is lower, the baby is not exposed to drugs that cause respiratory depression, the patient remains conscious during surgery and maintains the airway, and requires minimal postoperative and analgesia treatment (Morgan, 2013). This study aims to describe the level of anxiety of preoperative Sectio Caesarea patients with spinal anesthesia at the Bhayangkara Public Hospital. Method of Research: This study was a descriptive survey with a cross sectional design conducted from February to March 2022. The population in this study was 208 patients with a sample of 32 patients. The sampling technique used in this research is Quota Sampling. The results of this study were 43.8% of respondents experienced mild anxiety. In the age group less than 30 there are 25% of patients who experience moderate anxiety. The results of the study indicate that at all levels of education, respondents generally experience mild anxiety and it is also found that at the level of experience, respondents generally experience mild anxiety. More than half (56.3%) of respondents were under 30 years old with the dominant education level of respondents being high school (46.9%). Almost half (43.8%) of respondents who underwent cesarean section surgery with spinal anesthesia at the Bhayangkara Public Hospital experienced mild anxiety.

Abstract

Surgery using the Sectio caesarea (C-section) method is frequently performed on pregnant women, especially in Indonesia. Therefore, the Obstetric Anesthesia Guidelines recommend the use of spinal/epidural anesthesia techniques over general anesthesia for most C-section cases. However, this anesthesia procedure can induce changes in hemodynamic parameters, such as a decrease in blood pressure. To determine blood pressure changes before and after spinal anesthesia in patients undergoing C-section at RSUD Depok. This study is a qualitative descriptive case study using case analysis and cross-case analysis methods. Data collection was conducted using observation sheets as research instruments. Participants in this study consisted of two patients undergoing the C-section procedure. Findings from the study indicate that before the administration of spinal anesthesia, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and MAP were within the normal range. However, after spinal anesthesia administration, there was a decrease in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and MAP between the fifth and tenth minutes. This is associated with the onset time of the spinal anesthesia drug, which typically occurs within five to ten minutes after administration, and the typical effect of reducing blood pressure of the drug, especially in patients undergoing C-section at RSUD Depok. A decrease in blood pressure occurs after the administration of bupivacaine-type spinal anesthesia drug, with a dose of 0.5% bunascan 20 mg.
