Abstract

This study examines the influence of subscription strategies, personalized offers, and email marketing on perceived usefulness through user engagement, and their impact on conversion and customer retention in Indonesian local streaming services. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 300 respondents through a structured questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results indicate that all three marketing strategies significantly enhance user engagement, with personalized offers having the strongest effect. User engagement strongly predicts perceived usefulness, which in turn significantly drives both conversion and customer retention. These findings confirm the mediating role of user engagement and perceived usefulness in the relationship between marketing strategies and business performance outcomes. The study contributes to the theoretical understanding of user behavior in digital entertainment services and provides practical recommendations for optimizing customer acquisition and loyalty in competitive streaming markets.

Abstract

Palm oil plays a pivotal role in the economic landscape of Southeast Asia, particularly in countries like Indonesia and Malaysia where it significantly contributes to GDP, employment, and trade revenues. However, the volatility of palm oil prices presents persistent challenges, affecting macroeconomic stability, food security, and policy planning. This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the scholarly literature on palm oil price volatility and its macroeconomic impacts, focusing on Southeast Asia from 2000 to 2024. Using the Scopus database and VOSviewer software, the analysis reveals key thematic clusters centered on economic costs, price dynamics, biofuel policy, and financial spillover effects. The results show a growing interdisciplinary trend, with research expanding from core economic modeling toward sustainability and energy policy frameworks. Overlay and density visualizations indicate a temporal shift in research focus from volatility analysis to broader systemic and policy-related issues. Despite the increasing depth and diversity of the literature, significant gaps remain, particularly in addressing the socio-environmental dimensions and the real-world impacts on smallholder farmers and national policy. This review not only maps the intellectual structure of the field but also offers critical insights for future research and evidence-based policymaking in the global palm oil economy.

Abstract

This study examines corporate criminal liability in corruption cases within the civil law system, comparing the legal frameworks of Indonesia and France. The civil law system, adopted by both countries, relies on codified laws rather than judicial precedents. In Indonesia, corporate liability for corruption is regulated under Law No. 31 of 1999, as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001, while in France, it is governed by the French Penal Code (Code Pénal Français). Findings show that neither country provides a single explicit provision detailing which corruption offenses corporations can commit, requiring semiotic and systematic interpretations to determine applicable liability. In France, corporations may be held liable for active and passive bribery, influence peddling, unlawful benefit-taking, and favoritism in procurement, as stipulated in Articles 433-1, 435-1, 432-11, 432-12, and 432-14 of the Code Pénal Français. Similarly, Indonesia allows corporate liability for bribery, misuse of authority, unlawful enrichment, obstruction of justice, and related offenses, though certain crimes involving personal duties such as abuse of office remain limited to natural persons. Despite regulatory differences, both systems emphasize that only offenses feasibly committed by corporations may incur liability, highlighting the need for clearer procedural guidelines and legal harmonization.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the contradiction between the legal perspectives in Law No. 17/2003 concerning state finances and Law No. 19/2003 concerning State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) regarding separate state assets, and to investigate the legal ramifications of these contradictions on the responsibility and transparency of information in BUMN governance. This study employs normative legal research methodology using statute approach, conceptual approach, and analytical approach. Legal materials consist of primary legal materials including relevant laws and regulations, and secondary legal materials from academic literature, legal books, and scientific journal articles. The research findings indicate fundamental legal perspective differences between the two laws regarding separated state assets. The State Finance Law adopts a broad conception that separated state assets remain part of state finance under public law regime, while the SOE Law adopts a strict separation principle where such assets are no longer part of state assets but become SOE assets under corporate accountability system. This normative conflict creates contradiction in terminis that weakens the application of lex specialis derogat legi generali principle. The legal implications include the creation of a dual accountability system that burdens SOE management, confusion regarding transparency standards between corporate and public transparency, and ambiguity in corporate governance authority and responsibilities that generates high regulatory risk for SOE managers.

Abstract

The integration of psychological perspectives into waste management research has gained significant momentum in recent decades, reflecting a growing emphasis on behaviour-driven solutions to environmental challenges. This bibliometric analysis aims to systematically map the scientific landscape at the intersection of psychological interventions and waste management from 1992 to 2024, highlighting trends, thematic evolution, and collaboration patterns. A total of 1927 records were retrieved from the Scopus and Web of Science databases and analysed using the Bibliometrix R-package. The study explores annual publication trends, core journal sources, influential authors, country-wise scientific production, and conceptual structures through keyword co-occurrence, factorial mapping, and thematic analysis. Findings reveal a steady increase in annual scientific production, with exponential growth post-2010 and a record peak in 2024, indicating rising academic and policy interest in pro-environmental behaviour. Core journals such as Sustainability, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Waste Management dominate the publication landscape, while geographic trends highlight China, the United Kingdom, and the United States as major contributors. Thematic evolution shows a transition from technical and region-specific issues to behaviourally informed, people-centered approaches, including constructs such as pro-environmental behavior, circular economy, and community engagement. Factorial analysis via MCA demonstrates a conceptual divide between theory-driven research (e.g., Theory of Planned Behavior, norms, policy) and empirically focused studies (e.g., surveys, behavior change, demographics), with central constructs like sustainability and attitude bridging these themes. This study consolidates the intellectual development of this interdisciplinary domain and offers strategic insights for future research in sustainable behaviour, environmental psychology, and global waste governance.
