Abstract

This study examines the influence of corporate branding, flexible working hours, and the digital work environment on company attractiveness among Generation Z employees in Indonesia’s creative industry. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 120 respondents through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 25. The results reveal that all three independent variables—corporate branding, flexible working hours, and digital work environment—have positive and significant effects on company attractiveness. Corporate branding enhances organizational appeal by communicating authenticity, innovation, and credibility, while flexible working hours increase perceived freedom, trust, and work-life balance. The digital work environment emerges as the most influential factor, reflecting Generation Z’s strong affinity for technology-based collaboration and creativity. Collectively, these factors explain 51.6% of the variance in company attractiveness. The findings support employer branding and work design theories, demonstrating that organizational image, autonomy, and digital infrastructure jointly shape how young creative professionals perceive an ideal employer. Practically, the study emphasizes that creative industry organizations should strengthen brand identity, institutionalize flexible work arrangements, and enhance digital infrastructure to attract and retain Generation Z talent effectively.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of digital campaigns and public education on brand engagement through the mediating role of brand awareness in the palm oil industry of West Sumatra, Indonesia. The research was conducted in response to the growing need for sustainable branding and public perception management within an industry often associated with environmental controversy. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (SmartPLS 3.0). Data were collected from 115 respondents, primarily millennials, using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. The results indicate that both digital campaigns and public education have significant positive effects on brand awareness and brand engagement. Moreover, brand awareness plays a partial mediating role, amplifying the indirect influence of digital campaigns and educational initiatives on engagement. The findings confirm the applicability of the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) model, illustrating that digital and educational stimuli (S) enhance awareness (O), which subsequently drives engagement (R). The study contributes theoretically by integrating digital marketing communication and sustainability education into the brand engagement framework, and practically by offering strategies for improving consumer trust and advocacy through transparent, educational digital content.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of ChatGPT integration, team collaboration, and communication patterns on student project performance in a Software Engineering Practicum course at a private university in West Java, Indonesia. The emergence of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT presents new opportunities for enhancing learning engagement and teamwork in higher education. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 150 students through a Likert-scale questionnaire, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The findings reveal that ChatGPT integration has a significant positive impact on both team collaboration and communication patterns, which in turn strongly influence project performance. Among all variables, communication patterns emerged as the strongest predictor of success, followed by team collaboration and ChatGPT integration. Furthermore, team collaboration mediates the relationship between ChatGPT use and project performance, indicating that AI tools are most effective when embedded within social learning processes. The model demonstrated high explanatory power (R² = 0.790) and strong predictive relevance (Q² = 0.785). These results highlight that ChatGPT acts not as a replacement for human effort, but as a cognitive collaborator that strengthens teamwork and communication, ultimately enhancing learning outcomes in AI-assisted project-based education.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of environmental uncertainty and sense of urgency on individual innovation in renewable energy startups in Bali. In dynamic and resource-constrained startup environments, the ability to innovate is critical for survival and competitiveness. A quantitative approach was employed, surveying 130 respondents from various renewable energy startups using a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3) to test hypothesized relationships. The results indicate that both environmental uncertainty (β = 0.342, p < 0.001) and sense of urgency (β = 0.540, p < 0.001) significantly influence individual innovation. Furthermore, sense of urgency partially mediates the effect of environmental uncertainty on innovation, highlighting its role as a psychological catalyst that translates external pressures into actionable innovative behaviors. The findings provide theoretical contributions by integrating contingency theory and self-determination theory, and offer practical implications for startup managers and policymakers seeking to foster innovation in uncertain renewable energy markets.

Abstract

Shemale is a condition for a person who is medically male but behaves and acts like a woman. In general religious and socio-cultural views, the position of shemale is considered as part of a social deviation, which implies limited access to socio-economy, education, and other public spaces. The social marginalization of shemale, in turn, exacerbates the quality of life for shemale themselves. This condition is different from someone who identifies as shemale in the entertainment industry. In the world of entertainment, identity as shemale tends to get better reception and get a special space. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods on several data obtained from a data collection instrument in the form of a questionnaire and interview. The questionnaire was used to assess adolescents' views on the rise of celebrities who use shemale identity as a breaker in the world of entertainment as well as to assess the views of adolescents in accepting shemale groups in various social aspects, such as educational opportunities, work, and also family life which are calculated in numbers spread through an online form. The results of the data show that both in social and entertainment in general, adolescents tend not to reject the existence of a shemale, feel that their behavior is funny, and there are high doubts about whether this is appropriate.

Abstract

Biocorossion in terrestrial and marinal habitats has been widely studied including the involvement of sulphate reducing bacteria which are of particular concern in the oil and gas industries. One of the sulphate reducing bacteria that triggers biocorossion is Thiobacillus ferrooxidans. This study examines the effectiveness of Gracilaria edulis macroalgae methanol extract obtained from Sayang Heulang Beach Pamengpeuk District, Garut Regency, West Java as a candidate for carbon steel biocorrosion inhibitors in seawater media. Gracilaria edulis extraction process using Folch extraction method (chloroform: methanol: phosphate buffer, 2: 1: 0.8 (v / v)). Separation of the crude methanol-water phase extract using silica column chromatography G-60 7733 with n-hexane: acetone (8: 2, 5: 5, 2: 8 (v / v)) and methanol p.a. From the results of the analysis using a UV spectrophotometer (190-400 nm) there were five combined fractions (Fraction A-Fraction E). Total content of phenolic compounds (TPC) in crude extracts of methanol-water, fraction C and fraction E respectively (410.77; 285.30; 309.51) (mg/gr GAE). The results of the qualitative test of the ability of biocorrosion inhibition of crude extracts of methanol-water phase, fraction C and fraction E by using commercial nails in solid media incubated for four days showed a decrease in the corrosion intensity on nails. Quantitative tests on the ability of biocorrosion inhibition were carried out using the weight-loss method and the results of quantitative tests showed the corrosion rate of fraction C was 12.14 ± 1.09 mpy and the fraction E was 13.94 ± 1.82 mpy for 2.5% NaCl medium while the corrosion rate of fraction C was 10.73 ± 3.63 mpy and the fraction E was 11.72 ± 0.59 mpy for seawater media. The optimum concentration test results in the inhibition showed the smallest corrosion rate fraction C was found at 0.2 mg / mL TPC levels both in 2.5% NaCl media and seawater media which each had a corrosion rate of 12.91 mpy and 8.09 mpy and the optimum concentration of fraction E was found in TPC levels of 0.4 mg / mL (2.5% NaCl media) with a corrosion rate of 14.32 mpy and TPC levels of 0.1 mg / mL (sea water medium) with a corrosion rate of 12.14 mpy. By using the optimum fraction C concentration, the results showed that the fraction C had the maximum resistance in inhibiting for 8 days (192 hours). Analysis of carbon steel plates using SEM and EDS showed that T. ferrooxidans bacterial cells formed a biofilm layer on the surface of the carbon steel plate with a localized density but mostly dominated the carbon steel plate surface and by the addition of SEM image inhibitors showed the carbon steel plate forming a layer thin that protects the metal surface and decreases the solubility of iron sulfide in water. The test results using EDS devices also detect the presence of sulfur elements and a decrease in the percentage of iron element mass on carbon steel plates without inhibitors.
