<![CDATA[This community service program aimed to improve the digital marketing skills of Indonesian migrant SMEs in Malaysia through training based on Kotler’s 5A framework (Aware, Appeal, Ask, Act, Advocate). Conducted in collaboration with PERMAI Pulau Pinang, the program engaged 43 participants from various business sectors. Training was delivered through interactive sessions, discussions, and practical guidance focused on social media marketing, basic SEO, content creation, and customer engagement. Program effectiveness was measured using a quantitative expectation–performance approach across 12 indicators on a 5-point Likert scale. The results showed an average expectation score of 3.47 and a performance score of 3.32, indicating a small gap (−0.15) and overall alignment with participant expectations. High consistency was found in material relevance, delivery methods, and facilitator competence. However, the largest gap (−0.26) appeared in perceived tangible benefits, suggesting the need for extended implementation time. In conclusion, the training effectively enhanced participants’ awareness and understanding of digital marketing strategies. Ongoing mentoring is recommended to support sustainable application and measurable business improvement among Indonesian migrant SMEs.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service program aims to improve MSME food court entrepreneurs' understanding of business risk management in Tangerang. The participants received training on basic risk management concepts, the identification of operational, financial, and food safety risks, and appropriate mitigation strategies through interactive workshops and case discussions. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests to measure knowledge improvement. The results indicate a significant increase in participants’ awareness of business risks and their ability to apply preventive actions in daily operations. This program is expected to strengthen business resilience, enhance service quality, and support the sustainability of community-based culinary enterprises.]]>

<![CDATA[This activity aims to evaluate the effectiveness of supervision and law enforcement in passenger and freight transportation in Southeast Sulawesi Province in 2023, particularly following the GAKUM activity centered in Baubau City. The methods used included cross-agency coordination, evaluation meetings, analysis of field findings, and the formulation of joint recommendations. The evaluation meeting was held in Kendari City on December 14, 2023. The meeting was attended by 40 people. The analysis method included compiling field data and a post-meeting evaluation questionnaire. The evaluation results indicated that various violations persist, including the use of black plates, infrequent periodic inspections, and weak compliance with transportation permits. Limited task division, technical coordination, and a lack of outreach were also major obstacles. However, the evaluation activity succeeded in increasing participants' understanding and led to a more structured improvement strategy. In conclusion, inter-agency collaboration and regular evaluation are necessary to strengthen safe, orderly, and sustainable transportation governance.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service study aims to enhance digital marketing capabilities and profitability of Afisha Gapit Jepit MSMEs in Blimbing Village through the utilization of social media. The main challenges include limited market reach, suboptimal marketing strategies, and low adoption of digital technology. A Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach was applied, consisting of problem identification, understanding, planning, action, and monitoring and evaluation. The mentoring focused on managing Facebook, WhatsApp Business, and the Shopee marketplace, including developing promotional content and strengthening the product visual identity. The results show a positive impact: daily sales increased from an average of 40 packages to 80, a 100% increase. The program effectively improved MSME digital capacity and business competitiveness.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service activity aims to improve participants’ understanding of investment management through SeaBank's time deposit products. The activity employed a qualitative approach involving 30 sales employees of JAECOO in the automotive sector. The program was conducted through face-to-face socialization using lecture-based methods supported by presentation media, as well as hands-on practice in opening time deposits via the SeaBank mobile application. The materials delivered included fundamental concepts of investment management, characteristics of time deposit products, return calculation simulations, and technical tutorials on the deposit process. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills in managing low-risk investments through digital banking services. This activity enhances financial literacy and promotes more rational investment decision-making among participants.]]>

<![CDATA[Partnerships between universities and partner institutions are strategic for study program accreditation and for implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. In 2025, Al-Azhar University established an international collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and the Village Forest Management Institution (LPHD) of Pasar Rawa, Langkat Regency, in the field of community service. The activities included a networking session, strategic discussions on converting palm oil plantations back into mangrove forests, and a joint mangrove planting action. This initiative aims to restore coastal ecosystems as habitats for marine life, such as fish, crabs, and shrimp. Through this synergy, it is expected that the motivation of the Pasar Rawa Village community, particularly the LPHD, will increase in managing and preserving the mangrove area sustainably for the welfare of the coastal ecosystem.]]>

<![CDATA[Training in making dish soap is a community service activity that aims to improve children's skills. This activity was carried out at the Muhammadiyah Putra Orphanage, Medan City, with the target of adolescent foster children. The methods used include counseling, direct practice in making dish soap, and discussion and evaluation of the results of the activities. The training materials include introductions to raw materials, the mixing process, and packaging techniques. The results of the activity showed that participants were able to understand and independently practice the process of making dish soap. In addition, participants gained basic knowledge of business opportunities in the household product industry. This activity has a positive impact on life skills and on fostering entrepreneurial motivation among foster children. Training in making dish soap is expected to be a sustainable skill provision and has the potential to be developed as an independent business in the orphanage environment.]]>

<![CDATA[This Community Service activity was carried out at the Roti Pakcik Tanjung Morawa MSME through work process observations, discussions with the owner and workers, and recording the condition of the production facility. The activity focused on two fundamental needs of the MSME: improving the layout of the work area to enhance production efficiency and identifying the need for relevant production technology. The observation results showed a crowded work area, unclear functional zoning, and the movement of materials and products across the same area. These conditions increased waiting times, increased the risk of cross-contamination, and complicated quality control. In addition, the production process still relied on manual practices and limited tools, so there was a need for technology in the form of a flour sifting machine to maintain ingredient consistency, a mixer to maintain dough homogeneity according to production capacity, and a bread cutting machine to speed up the process, improve size uniformity, and reduce work fatigue. The activity resulted in a workflow problem map, an initial zoning design, and a list of technology priorities as a basis for further mentoring. These findings position the program as the initial stage of a realistic and field-based MSME production transformation.]]>
