Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of deixis of persona, time, and place in the novel Sa'atu Al-Baghdad by Shahad Al-Rawi. Understanding the use of deixis in Arabic literary works helps prevent misunderstandings in communication in the Arab world. This research is a qualitative research. The approach used in this research refers to the theory of deixis according to George Yule, which includes persona deixis, time deixis, and place deixis. Data collection in this research uses the listening method followed by note-taking technique. Data analysis technique in this research uses content analysis method. The result of this research shows the forms of deixis in Sa'atu Al-Baghdad novel by Shahad Al-Rawi such as persona deixis, time deixis, and place deixis. In persona deixis, there are uses such as (me), (us), (you women), (you guys), (him), and // (them), which describe the relationship between characters and their position in the story. Time deixis includes words like (a little later), (that day), and (sometimes), which provide a clear temporal orientation in the narrative. Meanwhile, place deixis includes (below), (there), (in front), (above), (here), and (here), which enriches the depiction of the story setting. The use of deixis in this novel serves not only as a linguistic element, but also as an effective pragmatic tool to build narrative depth, emotional connection, and relevant cultural context for readers. This research provides new insights in understanding the role of deixis in Arabic literary works and its importance in intercultural communication.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of wordwall media in Iqra learning at Tadika Mysarah Alfikh Orchard and the challenges faced in its implementation. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of wordwall media can increase student learning motivation, student participation, and accelerate their understanding of the hijaiyah letters. In addition, interviews with teachers and students showed that this media can make learning more interesting. However, there are several challenges in implementing wordwalls, such as limited digital devices, teacher adaptation to digital technology, and dependence on internet connections. To overcome these obstacles, several solutions are suggested, namely by procuring devices in schools, providing technology training for teachers, and developing alternative offline learning. Overall, this study concludes that wordwall media is an effective learning media in improving the quality of Iqra learning for early childhood, with the note that technical and pedagogical challenges must be managed properly.

Abstract

This study examines the role of judicial review in safeguarding constitutional rights within modern democracies, using a literature review approach. Judicial review serves as a critical mechanism for ensuring that laws and government actions comply with constitutional principles. By empowering courts to evaluate the constitutionality of legislation, judicial review protects individual rights and prevents the abuse of governmental power. The research explores the evolution of judicial review, its various models, and its impact on the balance of power between different branches of government. The findings highlight the significance of judicial review in upholding democratic values, such as the rule of law, separation of powers, and the protection of minority rights. Through case studies from different democratic systems, the study analyzes the strengths and limitations of judicial review in addressing constitutional challenges. While judicial review has proven essential in safeguarding rights, it also faces criticisms related to judicial activism and its potential to undermine legislative authority. This research concludes that, despite these challenges, judicial review remains a fundamental pillar in the defense of constitutional rights in modern democracies, providing a necessary check on legislative and executive actions to preserve democratic integrity.

Abstract

Social media has become a part of human life and also parents. One of the popular platforms among millennial parents is Instagram. The existence of social media platforms has led to the term Instagram influencers who present various content, for example, the parenting practices they use. This study aims to analyze the influence between parenting content from Instagram influencers on the parenting style of millennial generation parents. The quantitative method was chosen to determine the amount of influence between these two variables. Quota sampling was used in determining the research sample with predetermined criteria. The data collection technique used a questionnaire filled out by 100 respondents. The data analysis techniques used in this study are t hypothesis test, coefficient of determination and simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study based on the t hypothesis test, the coefficient of determination, and simple linear regression analysis provide the results that the parenting content variable of Instagram social media influencers (X) has a significant effect on the parenting style of millennial generation parents (Y).

Abstract

This study examines the conflict in the family between a husband and his sister-in-law depicted in the film "Ipar Adalah Maut". This study aims to analyze the signs of communication that appear in the relationship, as reflected through various elements in the film. The method in this study is descriptive qualitative with media text analysis and reinforced by Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. The data collection technique is in-depth analysis that focuses on the main source, namely the film "Ipar Adalah Maut". The analysis process is carried out by identifying communication patterns through two levels of meaning in semiotics, namely denotation and connotation. The results of the analysis show the existence of explicit and implicit messages that reveal the dynamics of interaction between husband and sister-in-law, which reflect the complexity of interpersonal relationships and family dynamics. This finding is interpreted as a myth that represents cultural values, social norms, and communication challenges in the context of family relations.

Abstract

Agreement is the source of an engagement. One of the irregularities in the agreement is breach of contract. In order to provide certainty in an agreement, a guarantee can be held and a letter of acknowledgment of debt can be made. This study is aimed to analyze legal settlements in breach of contract and position of vehicle on bail in Cirebon City District Court Decision Number: 35/Pdt.G/2021/PN. CBN. The method used in this research is normative juridical with prescriptive research specifications. Data source used is secondary data consisting of primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. Data collected was carried out by literature study, data obtained was presented with narrative text, and the data analysis method used was a qualitative normative method. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that a deed of debt recognition can be used for a lawsuit in a court if there is a party that neglects the obligations and can create a rights for creditors in compensation for losses caused by breach of contract. Objects that are controlled by another person but juridically owned by another party, that party has full rights over the object so that the object can be used as an on bail object.

Abstract

A notary is a general official who is authorized to make deeds and has other authority as referred to in the Notary Position Law. Notaries in carrying out their positions are guided by the Notary Code of Ethics and the Notary Position Law. Article 4 paragraph (3) of the Notary Code of Ethics prohibits Notaries from promoting themselves on social media, but in practice there are still violations of this. The purpose of this study is to analyze and examine the legal consequences of violations of the Notary Code of Ethics related to promotion of positions on social media and to understand and conclude the form of supervision carried out by the Notary Honorary Council on these violations. The research method used in this study is the normative juridical method by obtaining data from literature studies and field studies. The results of this study can be concluded that the Notary Honorary Council and the Regional Honorary Council in carrying out their supervisory functions are obliged to hold the Notary concerned accountable by imposing appropriate sanctions firmly, either in the form of civil sanctions, administrative sanctions, code of ethics sanctions and even criminal sanctions. The form of supervision that can be carried out by the Notary Honorary Council is through regular and continuous coaching and briefing to Notaries so that they remain obedient and comply with the code of ethics and the UUJN in carrying out their positions.

Abstract

Hipnotis dalam dunia kejahatan, digunakan sebagai salah satu upaya untuk melancarkan aksinya, angka kejahatan tidak tanggung-tanggung kejahatan ini melonjak drastis. Menurut sejarah, kejahatan dengan Hipnotis merupakan kejahatan konvensional dan terus berkembang hingga sekarang. Bentuk hipnotis yang digunakan juga semakin beragam yaitu hipnotis dengan gendam, sirep, dan sihrul'ain. Para pelaku kejahatan yang menggunakan metode Hipnotis ini pun mulai dari perorangan hingga berkelompok. Para pelaku (hipnotis) kejahatan dengan Hipnotis yang bekerja secara berkelompok biasanya cenderung hanya mengincar harta benda korbannya. Dalam beberapa kasus ada juga pelaku yang bekerja secara perorangan dan menggunakan Hipnotis ini untuk menipu korbannya yang sebagian besar adalah kaum wanita, yang pada awalnya ingin mendapatkan harta bendanya, namun terkadang para pelaku ini juga tergoda untuk melakukan perbuatan tidak senonoh terhadap kaum wanita. Berdasarkan pengakuan beberapa tersangka yang ditangkap pihak kepolisian, kepada penyidik mereka mengaku tidak melakukan pemaksaan atau penipuan dalam menjalankan aksinya. Mereka menjelaskan bahwa korbannya dengan sukarela menyerahkan barang dan harta bendanya ketika diminta oleh pelaku.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Liquidity, Capital Structure and Company Size on Company Value. The data used are secondary data in the form of annual reports and stock price data of Food and Beverage Subsector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020-2024. Sample selection was carried out using purposive sampling technique and obtained 19 companies. The year of this study was 4 years so that the total observations were 76 and the data analysis techniques used were classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, ANOVA tests and t-tests assisted by the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 program. The results of the analysis show that liquidity has no effect on company value. Capital structure has a positive and significant effect on company value. Company size has no effect on Company Value.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of effectiveness and efficiency and performance of regional financial management from 2021 to 2023 in East Kutai Regency. This study applies a quantitative descriptive approach with the aim of assessing the level of effectiveness, efficiency, and performance of regional financial management at the East Kutai Regency Regional Revenue Agency. The data analyzed are in the form of Budget Realization Reports (LRA) from 2021 to 2023, using descriptive statistical analysis techniques through the calculation of effectiveness and efficiency ratios based on the provisions of Law Number 33 of 2004.
