Abstract

Audit judgment practiced by professional auditors has always been an interesting topic in both accounting practice and literature. Given the significance of audit judgment in the field of accounting, it is unsurprising that numerous studies have attempted to identify the factors influencing it. Previous research has yielded varied findings on the impact of task complexity and auditor knowledge on audit judgment. This research aims to examine the effect of task complexity on audit judgment, the impact of auditor knowledge on audit judgment, the moderating effect of auditor experience in the relationship between task complexity and audit judgment, as well as between auditor knowledge and audit judgment. The research adopted a quantitative approach, utilizing a survey process through questionnaires. The study population consisted of auditors from 70 Public Accounting Firms in East Java, as listed in the IAPI Directory 2021. To ensure the appropriateness of the analytical method,, validity, reliability, and descriptive statistics were applied. Statistical research techniques included multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 26. The findings reveal that task complexity significantly and negatively influences audit judgment, auditor knowledge significantly and positively influences audit judgment, and auditor experience moderates the effects of both task complexity and auditor knowledge on audit judgment.

Abstract

This Lake Sentani in Papua Province has significant ecological and economic value and is a source of life for the local community. However, intensive anthropogenic activities around the lake result in a decline in water quality that threatens the ecosystem and public health. This study aims to examine the water quality status of Lake Sentani using the British Columbia Water Quality Index (BC-WQI) method, which is able to integrate various physical, chemical, and biological parameters into one quality index that is easy to interpret. Data collection was carried out at three location points in the upstream, middle, and downstream parts of Lake Sentani, with in situ and ex situ testing for ten water quality parameters such as TDS, pH, BOD, COD, heavy metals Pb, oils and fats, and total coliforms. The calculation of the water quality index uses the values of F1 (scope), F2 (frequency), and F3 (amplitude) to determine the BC-WQI. The results showed that at station 1 (Ifale) the BC-WQI value was 37.62 (good quality), at station 2 (Asei) it was 49.92 (poor quality), and at station 3 (Jaifuri) it was 67.69 (poor quality). Thus, the water quality downstream of the lake is classified as unsafe for consumption or clean water without adequate treatment. This study shows the importance of integrated management and efforts to preserve water quality to maintain the sustainability of Lake Sentani.

Abstract

This research examines the dynamics of Chinese Muslim development in Medan City in the period 1965-1998. Using the historical method and literature review approach, this research analyzes the development and changes that occurred in the Chinese Muslim community in Medan during the New Order period. The results show that the position and role of Chinese Muslims underwent significant changes during the period, from post-G30S/PKI stigmatization to a more positive portrayal of their contributions in the social, economic and religious fields. The formation of the Persatuan Islam Tionghoa Indonesia (PITI) in 1961 and its transformation into Pembina Iman Tauhid Indonesia in 1972 were important milestones in the development of this community. Despite facing various challenges such as discrimination and negative stereotypes, Chinese Muslims in Medan managed to build their dual identity as Muslims and Chinese through a complex process of cultural assimilation and social interaction. This research reveals that the socio-political dynamics of the period affected the public perception and integration process of the Chinese Muslim community into the wider Medan society.

Abstract

Sertifikat ganda merupakan masalah serius dalam hukum pertanahan Indonesia yang mengganggu kepastian hukum kepemilikan tanah. Putusan Pengadilan Negeri Rangkasbitung Nomor 4/Pdt.G/2022/PN Rkb mencerminkan kompleksitas konflik akibat kelemahan administratif Badan Pertanahan Nasional (BPN) dalam penerbitan sertifikat, menunjukkan perlunya reformasi sistem pengelolaan aset pertanahan.

Abstract

Global changes towards sustainability encourage Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt environmentally friendly business practices. Green Accounting and environmentally friendly work culture emerged as a strategy that can increase the competitiveness of MSMEs by integrating environmental aspects in business operations. This study aims to analyze the application of Green Accounting and environmentally friendly work culture in local MSMEs, as well as identify their impact on business competitiveness. The study also explores the supporting factors and constraints in the implementation of sustainability practices. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation methods, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data was collected from a number of MSMEs in Grogol District, Cilegon, who have begun to adopt the concept of sustainability in their businesses. Thematic analysis is used to identify patterns and relationships between Green Accounting, environmentally friendly work culture, and business competitiveness. The study found that the implementation of Green Accounting is still in its infancy, with a focus on energy efficiency and waste reduction. An eco-friendly work culture is beginning to be implemented, although it is still limited to basic aspects such as plastic reduction and energy savings. The positive impact of this practice includes increased operational efficiency, better business image, and increased customer loyalty. However, challenges such as lack of understanding, technological limitations, and lack of supporting policies are still the main obstacles to implementation.
