Abstract

This study aims to describe the compounding process in Bahasa Banjar in its basic forms based on word classes. The research design is in the form of qualitative descriptive. The data used is in the form of primary data, namely native speakers and secondary data, namely documents related to the compounding of bahasa Banjar such as research results, books, and dictionaries. Data was collected from interview. The data analysis procedure was carried out through three flows of activities that occurred simultaneously, following the concept put forward by (Miles et al., 2014): data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions/verification. In this study triangulation of data sources and peer checking (Flick, 2009) was applied to check the validity of the data. Based on the word classes which form compounds in Bahasa Banjar, it can be concluded ten forms.  Those are 1) Noun+Noun, 2) Noun+Verb, 3) Noun+Adjective, 4) Noun+Numeral, 5) Noun+Pronoun, 6) Verb+Noun, 7) Verb+Verb, 8) Verbs+Adjectives, 9) Adjective+Noun, 10) Adjective+Adjective. Some compound morpheme functions can change word class and some cannot change word class. The meanings of compound morphemes can be different from its constituent elements and can be related to the constituent elements.

Abstract

The history of marriage law in Indonesia has a long-standing legacy, with legal scholars continuously working to amend old laws into modern ones that possess strong legal foundations and clear legal certainty. However, written law often differs from the law observed in society, especially in civil cases, including marriage. The dualism of laws in Indonesia has led to disparities in the practice of marriage. In Islamic law, marriage is generally considered valid when the conditions and requirements of marriage are met without the need for marriage registration. Many people in Indonesia still consider Islamic law as the standard for the validity of marriage, making marriage registration seem unnecessary. Meanwhile, positive law on marriage is often viewed as a secondary option, despite the Marriage Law in Indonesia being in effect since 1974. The prevalence of Islamic law, which has been established earlier, has perpetuated the practice of unofficial marriages (sirri). This qualitative research aims to reconcile the asynchrony between these two legal systems, with the hope of raising collective awareness. This includes a critique of positive law, urging its amendment to make marriage registration mandatory for every couple, with sanctions for violators.

Abstract

The high number of HIV / AIDS cases in Indonesia requires the role of all parties to reduce the infection of the disease, one of the efforts to reduce the transmission of HIV / AIDS is to increase the coverage of VCT (Voluntary Counselling and Testing). The program aims to increase VCT coverage by using VO (virtual outreach). The method used in the activity uses the PRA (Parcipatory Rural Apraisal) model, namely by involving all field officers at the Sokoguru Foundation  through providing education and training to increase capacity in conducting VO. As a result of this activity, there was a significant difference (p value 0.05) in terms of the knowledge of trainees before and after being given this education and training. In conclusion, the Sokoguru Foundation, which oversees field officers, can routinely increase the capacity of its field officers to conduct virtual outreaches as an alternative in conducting outreach to the Key population.

Abstract

This research studies the impact of time trends on transaction intensity through electronic marketplaces, especially in purchasing high-risk products such as clothing. We monitored the intensity of clothing product transactions since the first purchase of 60,341 sample accounts from January 2018 to December 2019. We estimate log-linear model parameters with random effects from unbalanced panel data involving several control variables. The results show that the transaction intensity has decreased over time since the first purchase. This indicates consumers accept risks that exceed benefits, or in other words, the courage to transact through the electronic marketplace is decreasing for the purchase of clothing products.

Abstract

This study investigates the complex interplay of psychological factors influencing impulsive buying behavior for Hypebeast products, a category known for its appeal to consumer trends and exclusivity. The primary objectives are to examine the roles of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), sales promotion, emotional motives, and self-control in shaping impulsive buying tendencies. The study also explores the potential mediating effect of self-control on the relationship between FOMO, sales promotion, emotional motives, and impulsive buying. Drawing upon a theoretical framework rooted in consumer behavior and psychology, a quantitative research approach was employed. Data were collected through a structured survey administered to a diverse sample of Hypebeast product consumers. The research model was analyzed using advanced statistical techniques, including structural equation modeling (SEM) to assess the direct and mediated effects among the variables. Interestingly, self-control was identified as a partial mediator, attenuating the relationship between FOMO, emotional motives, sales promotion, and impulsive buying. This suggests that individuals with higher self-control may exhibit more regulated buying behaviors even in the face of external pressures and emotional triggers. These results shed light on the multifaceted nature of impulsive buying for Hypebeast products, encompassing both social-psychological factors and individual self-regulation. The implications of this study extend to marketers, practitioners, and researchers aiming to comprehend and influence consumer behavior in the context of trendy and exclusive product categories. By understanding the intricate interplay between FOMO, emotional motives, sales promotion, self-control, and impulsive buying, stakeholders can devise more targeted strategies to engage consumers while promoting responsible purchasing behaviors. Further research avenues include investigating the moderating effects of demographic variables and exploring interventions to enhance consumer self-control in impulsive buying situations.
