Abstract

Kemampuan berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris menjadi keterampilan esensial di era global, terutama dalam dunia pendidikan dan pekerjaan. Namun, belum meratanya akses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di berbagai wilayah Indonesia, khususnya di daerah Teluk Tomini, menyebabkan kesenjangan kompetensi di kalangan remaja. TPQ Imam Sayfii sebagai lembaga nonformal yang aktif membina siswa usia Sekolah Menengah Pertama menjadi mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya kemampuan berbicara siswa karena kurangnya metode pengajaran yang komunikatif dan menyenangkan. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa melalui materiself-introductiondengan pendekatan edukatif dan interaktif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2025 dengan melibatkan tujuh siswa sebagai peserta, dibantu oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Metode yang digunakan meliputi permainan peran dan dialog berpasangan yang dikemas dalam suasana santai dan partisipatif. Materi pembelajaran disusun dalam bentuk modul sederhana yang berisi kosa kata, struktur kalimat, dan latihan berbicara yang relevan dengan kehidupan siswa. Evaluasi dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui observasi keterlibatan siswa, ketepatan pengucapan, serta keberanian berbicara di depan teman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kepercayaan diri dan kemampuan siswa dalam memperkenalkan diri secara runtut dan benar dalam bahasa Inggris. Siswa yang awalnya ragu-ragu menjadi lebih berani dan aktif dalam setiap sesi. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berdampak positif pada lingkungan belajar di TPQ. Luaran kegiatan berupa, dokumentasi video dan laporan pengabdian yang dapat digunakan secara berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi model awal yang dapat direplikasi di komunitas serupa guna memperkuat kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris di lembaga pendidikan nonformal

Abstract

In today's era of globalization, English is one of the most important things to learn. English serves as the key to accessing wider educational and career opportunities, as well as a tool for international communication, information, science and technology. English language skills are essential for all members of society. This is also felt by young people who are learning. The constraints on English language learning can be more significant for children of Social Welfare Service Recipients (PPKS), especially for those living in orphanages. the purpose of this study is the application of the case work method in an effort to improve children's English language skills at the Ora et Labora Nusantara Medan Orphanage. This research is expected to provide an overview of how effective the case work approach is and offer practical suggestions for orphanages and education and social work practitioners in dealing with similar cases.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas kegiatan pemasaran digital melalui media sosial Instagram dalam meningkatkan daya jual produk gantungan kunci yang diproduksi oleh masyarakat Desa Sambibulu. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan mengacu pada pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), yang berfokus pada pemetaan dan pemanfaatan potensi serta aset lokal, baik individu maupun kelompok, sebagai kekuatan utama dalam pengembangan usaha. Melalui pendekatan ini, pelaku usaha lokal didorong untuk mengenali dan mengoptimalkan sumber daya yang dimiliki, termasuk keterampilan produksi dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Instagram sebagai media pemasaran digital berdampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan visibilitas produk, jangkauan konsumen, dan daya jual. Strategi yang diterapkan meliputi pembuatan konten visual menarik, penggunaan fitur-fitur Instagram, serta interaksi aktif dengan audiens. Dengan demikian, pendekatan ABCD terbukti efektif dalam mendukung kemandirian dan pengembangan ekonomi masyarakat berbasis potensi lokal.

Abstract

Leny Bumpak woven crafts are a local cultural heritage from Seluma Regency, Bengkulu, known for their high historical and aesthetic value. However, limitations in promotional strategies and marketing have resulted in low public awareness of these traditional products, especially in today's digital era. This community service project aims to design digital content and provide training for weavers in utilizing marketplaces and social media as tools for promotion and market expansion.The methods used include observation, interviews, hands-on training, and assistance in operating platforms such as Shopee and TikTok. The results show that artisans successfully improved their skills in creating engaging visual content, managing online stores, and actively promoting their products through social media. Digital content utilization proved effective in increasing audience engagement and enhancing product competitiveness in the national market.Through this training, it is expected that the artisans will be able to preserve local cultural values while adapting to technological advancements, thus supporting the sustainability of traditional weaving businesses.

Abstract

Improving the quality of service is a top priority in all clinics. These efforts are carried out through the construction of facilities, infrastructure, procurement of equipment and personnel as well as other software, in line with the construction of clinic in general. In addition to improving the quality of services, the quality of human resources also needs to be improved. Human resources owned by clinic will also affect quality of health services, the limited diversity of types of health workers will result in hospital performance in achieving hospital service quality indicators. One of the obstacles to the efforts of clinic in providing satisfactory medical services at this time is the limited resources and supporting facilities, especially medical technology, which is a crucial point in medical treatment. Medical and other nursing personnel are also one of the main pillars for hospitals that can support the competitive advantage of clinic if the management system and human resource development in it can be managed properly, which includes fulfilling standardized competency indicators, developing expertise with trainings. and nursing care, objective performance appraisal, fair distribution of working hours, as well as a compensation system that can provide job satisfaction in order to improve individual performance which leads to an increase in overall clinic performance. In this case, there are still many hospital managements who do not understand the importance of the elements of service quality management and human resource management. Therefore, an understanding is needed clinic leaders about the importance of this for the process of improving the quality of service and the quality of performance will be a long-term investment owned.

Abstract

Stroke is a condition that occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is suddenly disrupted, because some brain cells die due to impaired blood flow due to blockage or rupture of blood vessels in the brain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of "Range Of Motion with muscle strength in stroke patients at the Harapan Kita Social Home for the Elderly in Palembang City 2023". This Community Service uses a group of subjects who meet the criteria for Community Service in the intervention group. The sample of community service was 54 people from the population, the data collection technique used was a questionnaire, 30 respondents were given Range Of Motion intervention in a week. Based on the results of the analysis of muscle strength in the intervention group given ROM using the Paired Samples T-Test in the intervention group, a p value of 0.004 (p <0.05) was obtained, this shows that the intervention group has a significant effect between Range Of Motion on muscle strength in stroke patients. This shows that there is good effectiveness of Range Of Motion Therapy on Muscle Strength in Stroke Patients in the Harapan Kita Social Home for the Elderly in Palembang City. Based on the results of Community Service, there is an increase in muscle strength from Range Of Motion therapy. It is hoped that therapy can be carried out continuously so that a comfortable atmosphere can be created during the Range Of Motion therapy process.

Abstract

The author as a practitioner conducted a field work practicum (PKL) at the Menara Kasih Indonesia Orphanage. The field work practicum (PKL) conducted by the author was to research the problems experienced by the orphanage children. The problem experienced by the orphanage children was the lack of motivation in learning so that the children in the orphanage were less diligent in carrying out learning activities. From this problem, the author was interested and had the goal of increasing the learning motivation of the orphanage children which was a mini project of the author. The author has clients (groups) who experience this problem. The group consists of children who are still in grades 2 to 4 of elementary school (SD). The author uses the stages of social groupwork in his research from the preparation stage to the termination stage. The method used to find out the client's problems is by using Focus Group Discussion (FGD). After carrying out all the stages of social groupwork, the results presented by the author are so that the orphanage children experience increased learning motivation so that they have quality learning.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to identify and improve students' metacognitive abilities in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. Metacognition refers to the awareness and regulation of one's own thinking processes, playing a crucial role in achieving optimal learning outcomes. The target of this activity was 30 eleventh-grade students at Pondok Pesantren Roudlotul Mubtadiin Balekambang Nalumsari Jepara. The activity was carried out through several stages: initial assessment, metacognitive education, conscious learning strategy workshop, intensive mentoring, and final evaluation. The results showed a significant improvement in students' metacognitive levels after the intervention. Initially, most students were at the tacit use level (low), but following the service program, there was a notable shift towards the aware use (moderate) and strategic use (high) levels. This activity demonstrates that strengthening metacognitive skills can be an effective solution to address the low comprehension ability of students in Islamic Religious Education subjects.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease characterized by elevated blood glucose levels due to impaired insulin production or function. This condition poses a serious public health issue because it can lead to long-term complications such as kidney failure, vision problems, nerve damage, and heart disease. The lack of public awareness about risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of early detection contributes to the rising number of diabetes cases in Indonesia. This community service activity aimed to increase public knowledge about diabetes mellitus through health education and diabetes foot exercise. The event was held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Gang Guntur, Cimanggis, Depok, targeting adults and the elderly. The implementation methods included interactive lectures, Q&A sessions, random blood sugar tests (GDS), and a practical diabetes foot exercise session. There were 18 participants who attended the event. This program is expected to improve participants understanding of how to prevent and manage diabetes independently in their daily live. Moreover, it aims to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle as a promotive and preventive measure against diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

The PIK-R youth organization in Candijati Village is not new. However, it is felt to be less active in carrying out activities that should be the purpose of forming the organization. Awareness of the importance of the role of youth in realizing village welfare must be revived. This service aims to provide motivation to teenagers in Candijati Village to be more optimal and effective in managing the PIK-R organization. The implementation of the service is carried out by providing socialization and training to the PIK-R administrators of Candijati Biting Village, Jember Regency, East Java Province. The material provided is material related to leadership and organizational management issues. Through this service activity, it can provide skills for the PIK-R administrators of Candijati Village in managing the organization, forming a management structure, fostering leadership talent and understanding related to early marriage which has a negative effect on teenagers. The programs at the growth stage implemented in PIK-Teenagers in Candijati Village have proven successful in increasing students' understanding of organizational management, reproductive health and reducing the risks of early marriage.
