Abstract

Traffic accidents are a frequent and unfortunate event that can take lives, these accidents occur due to several factors,  such as human error, vehicles that do not meet standards, poor roads, and environmental factors such as weather.  bad.  First aid in traffic accidents can be an opportunity for people who live on the edge of the highway.   The purpose of community service is to empower community cadres who have been formed to make the community capable/empowered in carrying out first aid regarding lifting moving and syncope in RT 005 RW 001 Dusun Kepung Tengah.   The implementation method is carried out by forming traffic accident first aid cadres to be trained by using lecture and demonstration methods about lifting moving and syncope first aid until they become competent   (competent)  in empowering first aid cadres about lifting moving and syncope. Furthermore, the cadres who have been empowered will convey how to carry out first aid lifting moving, and syncope with lecture and demonstration methods so that the community becomes able to carry out first aid about lifting moving, and syncope independently without having to wait for the health team to arrive. The results of the ability of first aid carried out by cadres changed from good category (67%) to very good (100%), while for the majority of people who had sufficient ability (55%) to good (44%). The conclusion is that all cadres and the community who have been empowered can carry out first aid lifting moving and syncope well. Suggestions are that lifting moving and syncope first aid training can be continued until all people who live on the edge of the highway are prone to traffic accidents and receive training and can independently carry out lifting moving and syncope first aid.

Abstract

Breastfeeding is common in all cultures and is always done because the baby's survival depends on breast milk (ASI). Baby milk can be given to babies if breast milk production is reduced or because of the mother's willingness to give baby milk. baby feeding must be by the dose and should not be excessive because it can cause overweight in the baby. Based on a survey in early March 2022 at the Akbar Medika Clinic, Mojokerto on 10 babies, it was found that 6 babies were exclusively breastfed and 4 babies were given baby milk. Based on this, it is necessary to do further research. The purpose of this study was to determine the weight of infants aged 0-6 months who were breastfed without baby milk and the weight of infants fed baby milk. The research instrument was a questionnaire and an observational research design using analytic methods. The sample in this study were infants aged 0-6 months who visited the Akbar Medika Clinic in March - May 2022 as many as 34 babies. The results showed that infants who were breastfed without baby milk experienced a weight gain of 76.2% according to the standard (16 infants) and the weight of infants fed baby milk without breast milk experienced a non-standard weight gain of 69.2% (9 Baby ). The results of the test with Chi-Square (χ2) = 6.839 P: 009 then there is a relationship between the weight of infants aged 0-6 months who are breastfed without baby milk with those who are given baby milk. Mothers are expected to always give breast milk to children aged 0-6 months to increase the baby's weight and to increase the baby's immunity so that they don't get sick easily. And for health workers, especially midwives, to always provide explanations, information, and education to pregnant women or mothers who have given birth to babies so that babies are given breast milk because breast milk is the best food for babies.

Abstract

Anemia is a nutritional problem that is widely found throughout the world and does not only occur in developing countries but also in developed countries. Adolescent girls have a ten times greater risk of suffering from anemia compared to young men. The purpose of this service activity is to increase the percentage of young women who consume blood-added tablets in Watugede Village. The method used is focus group discussions and lectures. The results showed that there was an increase in the percentage of consumption of FE tablets after being given education on the criteria for routine consumption from before education by 24.44% to 46.67%. This shows that education about anemia in adolescents can increase adolescent knowledge about anemia, and have a positive impact on changes in behavior in consuming blood-added tablets.

Abstract

Poor consumption patterns will interfere with the production of the hormones estrogen, and progesterone and reduce the production of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) so that it can inhibit the occurrence of menstruation. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between consumption patterns and the menstrual cycle in the students of the Karya Husada Kediri Academy of Nutrition. The research design used is analytic with a cross-sectional approach using Spearman Rank correlation with a significant level of = 0.05. The population of this study was the students of the Academy of Nutrition of Karya Husada Kediri levels 1, 2, and 3 as many as 71 respondents. The sample used is 61 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using 24-hour recall, FFQ, and questionnaires. The results showed that students with less energy intake were 10 people (28.6%), students with more protein intake were 4 people (14.8%), students rarely consumed staple foods as many as 3 (33.3%), students 7 people rarely eat animal side dishes (38.9%), 9 students rarely eat vegetable side dishes (20.9%), 7 students rarely eat vegetables (26.9%), 3 students rarely eat fruit (30%), there were 5 students with the type of food ingredients not according to PGS (20%). The results of the Spearmen Rank statistical test showed that there was no relationship between consumption patterns and menstrual cycles for the students of the Karya Husada Kediri Academy of Nutrition in terms of energy intake (p = 0.390), protein intake (p = 0.070), frequency of consuming staple foods (p = 0.431), frequency of consuming animal side dishes (p = 0.057), frequency of consuming vegetable side dishes (p = 0.569), frequency of consuming vegetables (p = 0.533), frequency of consuming fruit (p = 0.570), types of food ingredients (p = 0.654). It is expected that students who have fewer consumption patterns can improve their consumption patterns by improving diverse consumption patterns by increasing the consumption of staple foods, side dishes, vegetables, and fruit both in quantity and quality.

Abstract

Disaster evacuation is a way for people to respond when a disaster occurs and not panic when a disaster occurs but plan what they will do to reduce the number of victims when a disaster occurs. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge of safety during an earthquake and the ability to self-evacuate. The research design is correlational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 224 people, and 67 respondents were chosen with a purposive sampling technique. The independent variable is knowledge about safety during an earthquake, and the dependent variable is the ability to evacuate independently. The measuring instrument uses a questionnaire and data analysis using the Spearman rank test. The results of the study of respondents who are knowledgeable about safety during an earthquake in the good category show that almost half (37.3%) have good self-evacuation abilities. Respondents who are knowledgeable about safety during earthquakes in the moderate category indicate that a small proportion (10.4%) have sufficient self-evacuation capabilities. And respondents who are knowledgeable about safety during an earthquake in the poor category indicate that a small proportion (9%) have sufficient self-evacuation capability. The results of data analysis using the Spearman Rank test showed a significant value of 0.05 (0.018 0.05), so that H1 was accepted, meaning that there was a relationship between knowledge about safety during an earthquake and the ability to self-evacuate. Knowledge of earthquake disasters will make individuals know what they will do and are required to do when facing an earthquake disaster for their personal safety and those around them. It is recommended for students to further increase their knowledge of earthquake disasters so that they can improve their ability to self-evacuate in the face of disasters and reduce casualties.

Abstract

Anemia is a problem that often occurs in pregnant mothers. Many factors influence the incidence of anemia in pregnant mothers, one of which is parity. Parity is of particular concern because it is one of the most dominating factors in the occurrence of anemia in pregnancy. The purpose of this research was to determine the correlation of parity with anemia incidence in pregnant mothers at wringinanom public health center gresik regency. The research design used correlational analysis using a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique is Simple Random Sampling, obtained a sample of 86 respondents from a total population of 576 pregnant mothers, the study was conducted at the Wringinanom Health Center, Gresik Regency on 9-14 May 2022. The instrument used was an observation sheet of medical record data. Data analysis using the Spearman test. The results showed that more than half of 44 respondents (51.2%) had primiparous parity and less than half of 38 respondents (44.2%) were known to have no incidence of anemia. The results of the analysis showed that value = 0.000 < 0.05, which indicates that H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a correlation of parity with anemia incidence in pregnant mothers at wringinanom public health center gresik regency with a strong correlation level of (r) 0.740. Anemia in pregnancy can be influenced by many factors, one of which is parity. Parity is one of the factors that dominate the occurrence of anemia in pregnancy because the mother's condition is too frequent to experience pregnancy and childbirth causing iron not to be formed optimally. So the parity of the respondents has an impact on the incidence of anemia in pregnancy. Pregnant mothers should increase their iron intake and regularly consume Fe tablets.
