Abstract

This research seeks to examine how teamwork, reflective methods, and digital records in field-based learning enhance academic literacy in postgraduate students. The program was carried out via a field study in Semarang, engaging key partner organizations such as Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS), Semesta School, the Kota Tua heritage area, and the Grand Mosque of Central Java (MAJT). Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected via participatory observation, interviews, digital records, and reflective group discussions. The results indicate that collaboration among institutions offers valuable empirical environments that allow students to link theoretical ideas with practical applications, especially in fields like educational governance, digital innovation, cultural preservation, and spiritual leadership. Reflective practices act as vital tools that enable students to interpret field experiences, participate in analytical processing, and convert observations into a more profound academic comprehension. Simultaneously, digital records improve observational precision, deepen reflective involvement, and bolster academic claims with visual and multimodal proof. The research finds that combining collaboration, reflection, and digital documentation creates a comprehensive learning structure that effectively enhances students’ academic writing abilities, critical thinking, and overall academic literacy in the context of Education 5.0. The research suggests the necessity for more organized, technology-enhanced field learning frameworks to maximize academic and professional learning results for graduate students.

Abstract

Special needs school environments represent communities with complex psychosocial dynamics, involving intensive and continuous interactions among children, parents, therapists, and educators. The complexity of children’s needs, parental expectations regarding developmental outcomes, and professional demands placed on therapists may contribute to emotional strain and disrupt the psychological well-being of the community. This Community Service program aimed to foster a more supportive psychological climate through a promotive intervention using psychoeducational posters. The program employed a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach, beginning with a situational analysis conducted through individual and group interviews with parents and therapists to identify core community issues. The findings revealed difficulties in understanding children’s behavior as a form of needs communication, emotional strain experienced by therapists, and the lack of consistent psychoeducational media within the school environment. Based on these findings, psychoeducational posters were developed containing messages related to positive parenting, understanding children’s behavior, strengthening self-confidence, and self-care for caregivers. The posters were displayed in strategic shared spaces within the school community. This intervention functioned as a silent educator that encouraged reflection, enhanced psychological awareness, and strengthened shared understanding among community members. The findings suggest that promotive interventions using visual media can serve as an effective initial strategy for strengthening a supportive psychological climate in special needs school communities on a sustainable basis.

Abstract

Music often serves as a space for humans to express and interpret emotional experiences that are difficult to express directly. The song “Sorai” by Nadin Amizah presents poetic and symbolic lyrics that open up opportunities for various interpretations, particularly regarding the meaning of relationships, separation, and sincerity. This study aims to reveal the moral message contained in the lyrics of “Sorai” through Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. This study uses an interpretive qualitative method, with data obtained through analysis of the song lyrics, literature study, and interviews with five fans selected purposively. The analysis was conducted by tracing the denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings to understand how the signs in the lyrics form a moral message. The results show that “Sorai” represents human relationships as a process of mutual help and mutual healing, without demands for ownership or continuity. This song constructs the meaning that separation is not a failure, but rather a part of emotional maturity that can be accepted with sincerity. These findings confirm that music not only functions as entertainment, but also as a medium of communication that conveys human values reflectively.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Adiwiyata School Program in building environmental care character at SD Negeri 1 Ngrandu, Trenggalek. The Adiwiyata Program, jointly initiated by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and the Ministry of Education and Culture, seeks to create schools as learning centers that cultivate environmental responsibility. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Research subjects included the school principal, Adiwiyata team, seven teachers, school committee, and twelve students from grades 4, 5, and 6. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model encompassing data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was verified through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that: (1) planning was conducted in a participatory and systematic manner through the Environmental Potential and Problem Identification (IPMLH) process involving all stakeholders; (2) implementation covered all four main components—environmental policy, environment-based curriculum, participatory environmental activities, and eco-friendly facility management; (3) changes in students' environmental character progressed across the knowing, feeling, and acting domains; (4) integration of Islamic spiritual values such as the concepts of khalifah fil ardh and amanah strengthened intrinsic motivation and behavioral consistency; and (5) key supporting factors included exemplary leadership and teacher commitment, while inhibiting factors encompassed budget constraints, high teacher workload, and inconsistency between school and home habits.

Abstract

The Memayu Buyut Trusmi ritual is a traditional custom that is still preserved by the Trusmi community as part of their efforts to preserve local culture. This study aims to analyze the role of communication practices in the Memayu Buyut Trusmi ritual in maintaining cultural values, collective identity, and social solidarity within the community. This study uses a qualitative approach with a communication ethnography method. Data were obtained through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with religious leaders, key figures, and the community directly involved in the ritual. Data analysis was conducted using Dell Hymes' SPEAKING framework, which includes the elements of Setting, Participants, Ends, Act Sequence, Key, Instrumentalities, Norms, and Genre. The results of the study show that the Trusmi Memayu Buyut Ritual is a structured and meaningful cultural communication event. Cultural preservation is not only reflected in the physical maintenance of sacred buildings through the replacement of welit, but also through ritual communication that is symbolic, repetitive, and participatory. The involvement of traditional and religious authorities and the active participation of the community confirm that ritual communication plays an important role in the inheritance of values, the strengthening of cultural identity, and the sustainability of the traditions of the Trusmi community.
