Abstract

The implementation of supervision in the field of education does not only focus on evaluation or assessment of weaknesses but rather on efforts to improve the quality of education. Supervision in early childhood education that implements inclusive programs needs to be continuously developed to adjust to the learning environment in schools. This study aims to describe the strategy for developing inclusive education supervision in integrated one-roof Islamic early childhood education institutions in Pati Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The source of research data was obtained from informants of three school principals from each early childhood education service unit, namely TPA, KB, and TK. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis process is carried out inductively by detailing empirical facts through direct activities in the field. The results of the study indicate that in integrated Islamic-based inclusive early childhood education institutions, educational supervision and coaching programs have been implemented by all teachers and school education personnel. The strategy for developing educational supervision that can be applied forms a solid foundation for optimizing inclusive learning practices. These strategies include an in-depth understanding of inclusion, teacher involvement and training, development of inclusive learning plans, utilization of resources, and continuous monitoring and evaluation. Overall, these findings continue to emphasize the inclusion program promoted by the institution.

Abstract

This research aims to explore how primary school teachers integrate character education based on indigenous cultures and traditions in elementary school settings. Using a qualitative approach, the study involved collecting and analyzing data through semi-structured interviews with eight educators. The procedure included gathering information, reducing and presenting data, and drawing conclusions to understand how teachers incorporate local traditions and cultures from the Malay and Dayak tribesÔÇösuch as Pengari, Saprahan, Beduruk, Robok-robok, Beroyong and Jagau SungeiÔÇöinto their teaching practices. The findings reveal that teachers adapt these traditions to promote character development, focusing on values like cooperation, mutual assistance, responsibility, social care, and environmental consciousness. This study contributes novel insights into the practical application of indigenous cultural elements in character education and demonstrates how these practices can enhance student development and cultural awareness.

Abstract

Immersing learners in English can be a strategy to improve their autonomy in in English as a foreign language (EFL) learning. The objective of the present study is to analyze the improvement in factors related to learnersÔÇÖ autonomy after the English camp, one of types of language immersion programs. This study used a convenience sampling method. The participants consisted of thirty high school students. Therefore, the present study employed a quantitative research design by distributing a set of questionnaires before and after an-eight-day English camp program. The results suggest that the most salient factor that improves after the treatment is ÔÇÿimportant strategiesÔÇÖ┬á (m=3.6 to m=3.75) while factors related ÔÇÿthe learnersÔÇÖ sense of self-efficacyÔÇÖ (m=3.75 to m=3.91) and ÔÇÿthe role of teacherÔÇÖ (m=3.47 to m=3.5) do not suggest a drastic increase. In contrast, the items related to ÔÇÿthe role of the feedbackÔÇÖ (m=3.77 to m=3.58) show a decline. In this sense, the participants seem able to employ various important strategies to advance their language learning progress and improve their confidence while finding the roles of feedback they obtained during the program lessened. The results of this study imply the needs to provide comprehensible inputs to the students so that they can enhance their autonomy. The next study should involve the investigation of the effects of comprehensible inputs in an English camp toward learnersÔÇÖ autonomy.

The subjects in this study were Islamic Religious Education teachers and students. The data in this study were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity testing in this study was carried out using the triangulation test method. Data analysis in this study adopted a descriptive approach involving several stages, namely data condensation, data presentation, and data conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed: that first, there was a positive acceptance from students towards using Virtual Reality (VR) technology in simulating religious pilgrimage, with many students feeling an enchanting and immersive experience. Second, VR plays a significant role in improving studentsÔÇÖ understanding of religious concepts, especially in understanding the historical context and spiritual meaning of holy places. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the REACT learning strategy on problem-solving among fifth-grade students at Pekanbaru Public Elementary School. This type of research employs a quasi-experimental approach with a nonequivalent group control group design. This study employs a purposive sampling technique, in which samples are chosen based on specific criteria. This study employs two classes: VA as the experimental class and VB as the control class. The experimental class received treatment (treatment), while the control class did not. Data collection methods include test instruments and documentation. The significant results (2-tailed) of 0.013 < 0.05 indicate that REACT strategy learning has an effect on problem-solving ability, leading to the acceptance of Ha and rejection of H0. Based on these findings, it is possible to conclude that the REACT learning strategy (relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, and transferring) has an effect on fifth-grade studentsÔÇÖ problem-solving abilities.
