Abstract

The emotional development of adolescents affected by their parents’ divorce manifests in inappropriate behaviour, such as a lack of motivation to study, withdrawing from friends, displaying anger, apathy, a lack of self-confidence, and even an identity crisis. This study aims to identify issues relating to the emotional intelligence of adolescents resulting from divorce, as well as methods to improve their quality of life. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through indepth interviews and observations of the main subjects (NAS) residing in Rokan Hulu Regency, along with other informants. The results of the study indicate that complex divorces make adolescents struggle to control their emotions, tending to behave aggressively, or becoming hardened and indifferent as a self-defence mechanism. Adolescents also lose motivation to study due to emotional pressure and a mismatch of interests. However, external support and Islamic counselling techniques have proven capable of enhancing resilience, making adolescents more independent and resilient.

Abstract

The concept of happiness is one of the important themes in Islamic philosophy tradition related to the ultimate goal of human life and spiritual perfection. In Islamic philosophy, happiness is not only understood as material pleasure or psychological condition, but as a spiritual state related to spiritual perfection and human closeness to God. This study aims to analyze the meaning of happiness in Islamic philosophy through an examination of Mulla Shadra's thoughts on the happiness of the soul. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research and a philosophical approach to examine conceptual ideas in the works of Mulla Shadra and related literature. The data sources consist of Mulla Shadra's major works as primary sources and books, scientific journal articles, and previous studies as secondary sources. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically by interpreting the concept of spiritual happiness within the framework of hikmah al-muta'aliyah philosophy. spiritual perfection. The results of the study show that according to Mulla Shadra, true happiness is not only related to material aspects, but also to the perfection of the soul achieved through a process of self-purification, intellectual development, and spiritual closeness to God. Thus, happiness in Mulla Shadra's perspective is an existential condition achieved when the human soul reaches a level of perfection and harmony with metaphysical reality.

Abstract

In the international relations, countries are major actor that influence relations between other actors. As actors, countries use diplomacy as a material of negotiation to achieve their national interests. South Korean and Japanese diplomacy uses the cultural elements of their countries as its foundation. This cultural diplomacy takes the form of Korean Wave and Cool Japan, which introduce the countries' cultures to the global community. They are the result of Wendt's social constructivism structure. Wendt's constructivism has points that are integration with the implementation of Korean Wave and Cool Japan as forms of cultural diplomacy. In this study, the author uses a qualitative research method that focuses on analyzing the relationships between actors that shape Korean Wave and Cool Japan. By this method, the actors of the Korean Wave and Cool Japan can be analyzed as a form of Wendt's constructivism. Through this research, the Korean wave and cool Japan can be understood as one of the results of Alexander Wendt's social constructivism structure. The Korean wave and Cool Japan are soft power, they that have been recognized worldwide for their cultural values. The values and identities of South Korea and Japan are embedded in these two soft powers to introduce the countries and achieve national interests. They use the country's cultural forms as tools of state diplomacy. Overall, the Korean Wave and Cool Japan make cultural diplomacy that are in demand and influential in the global order. A suggestion for further research expands the scope of the study by adding case studies of other countries that also utilize culture as an instrument of soft diplomacy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent to which labor law in Indonesia is able to create a balance of legal protection between workers and employers, as well as to identify the factors influencing such balance. This research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The results indicate that, normatively, Indonesian labor law—particularly Law Number 13 of 2003 on Manpower and Law Number 11 of 2020 on Job Creation—has been designed to establish fair and balanced employment relations. However, in practice, there is a tendency for legal protection to be more heavily oriented toward workers, resulting in limited flexibility and increased compliance burdens for employers. Furthermore, this balance is influenced by several factors, including legal policy orientation, economic conditions, regulatory complexity, effectiveness of law enforcement, and globalization dynamics. Therefore, a more proportional legal policy is needed to achieve an ideal balance in industrial relations.

Abstract

Various social assistance programs implemented by the government in Kepulauan Meranti Regency, such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), Rice Food Assistance, Direct Cash Assistance (BLT), Health Insurance Contribution Assistance (JKN Contribution Assistance), and Housing Assistance for Uninhabitable Homes (Bansos RTLH), are part of a strategic effort to accelerate the eradication of extreme poverty. The evaluation of the implementation of these programs shows that the success of eradicating extreme poverty largely depends on accurate targeting, smooth distribution, integration across programs, and active involvement of the local government in supervision and guidance. With continuous improvements in beneficiary data accuracy, program integration, and the empowerment of local communities, the overarching goal of achieving an extreme poverty-free Kepulauan Meranti Regency can be reached more swiftly. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the evaluation of the Social Assistance Program for Accelerating the Eradication of Extreme Poverty in Kepulauan Meranti Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach. The informants in this study consisted of 7 individuals, with the Secretary of the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Development Agency (Bappedalitbang) of Kepulauan Meranti Regency serving as the key informant. Data collection was carried out through interviews, and data analysis employed triangulation techniques. Based on the research findings, it is concluded that the evaluation of the Social Assistance Program for Accelerating the Eradication of Extreme Poverty in Kepulauan Meranti Regency indicates that while this program does indeed provide positive impacts for its beneficiaries, there remain several challenges that need to be promptly addressed to ensure optimal program implementation. Overall, the program represents a well- conceived strategic step toward the acceleration of extreme poverty eradication, but it still requires improvements in many aspects, particularly in data updating, enhanced coordination, and efficiency in the distribution of assistance.
