Abstract

This article discusses an introduction to sociological organizations, classical organizations theory, and modern organizational theory. Organizational sociology is a branch of sociology that studies social relations, structures, and interactions within organizations. Classical organizational theory emphasizes the importance of structure, division of labor, efficiency, and rules in achieving organizational goals. Meanwhile, modern organizational theory views organizations as open systems that must adapt to environmental changes, technological developments, and social dynamics. This article uses a literature review method, collecting data from various relevant books and journals. The discussion shows that organizational development theory has evolved in line with changing times and the needs of organizations in facing environmental challenges. Therefore, organizations are required to be more flexible, innovative, and adaptable, to achieve their goals effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze behaviorism theory in Arabic language learning by focusing on the aspects of relevance and criticism regarding its implementation. The method used is qualitative research with a literature review approach, conducted through the collection and analysis of various literature sources related to behaviorism theory and Arabic language learning. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically to identify the main concepts, forms of implementation, as well as the strengths and limitations of behaviorism theory. The results of the study show that behaviorism theory still has relevance in Arabic language learning, especially at the initial stage of learning. This approach is effective in forming language habits through repetitive exercises, imitation, and reinforcement, thereby helping students master basic aspects such as pronunciation, vocabulary, and simple sentence patterns. However, this theory also has weaknesses, as it tends to be mechanical, pays less attention to cognitive processes, and has not been able to optimally develop communication skills.Based on these findings, it can be concluded that behaviorism theory can still be applied in Arabic language learning, but it needs to be combined with other approaches that are more communicative and contextual. This is intended so that the learning process not only focuses on habit formation but is also able to develop comprehensive language skills.

Abstract

Development across various sectors should not be solely focused on increasing income but must also consider its environmental impact to ensure sustainability. In this regard, the role of the community is crucial as a key factor in preserving and conserving the environment. This study emphasizes that community groups possess the awareness and responsibility to participate in environmental conservation as an expression of love for the homeland or national defense. The research method employed is a normative legal approach, utilizing both a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The research results indicate that the success of environmental management is highly dependent on law enforcement, coordination among institutions, and active community participation. At the local level, the Depok City Environmental Agency plays a strategic role in formulating and implementing environmental policies, making synergy between national laws and local implementation the key to successful environmental conservation.

The sandwich generation phenomenon describes the condition of individuals of productive age who bear economic responsibility for two generations simultaneously, namely their parents and financially dependent family members. This condition has the potential to affect the quality of life of individuals in the sandwich generation, particularly in Medan Baru District, Medan City. This study aims to describe the quality of life of individuals in the sandwich generation in Medan Baru District, Medan City. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research informants are individuals of productive age who play a role as part of the sandwich generation. The results indicate that individuals in the sandwich generation experience a decline in quality of life in several aspects. In terms of physical health, informants experience fatigue due to long working hours, as well as irregular and unhealthy sleep patterns. Psychologically, pressure in the form of anxiety and stress was found, which remains at a normal level and can be managed independently. The social relationships aspect shows disturbances in the form of low-quality personal relationships that are considered abnormal and unhealthy, as well as a tendency to delay romantic relationships, which is still considered normal. Meanwhile, in the environmental aspect, informants experience limitations in engaging in recreation and leisure activities; however, they maintain good and harmonious family relationships and receive positive responses from the surrounding environment.

This study aims to examine the strategies of educators in improving the quality of learning for Package C learners at PKBM Hang Tuah Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data were obtained through indirect observation of the learning process and supported by a literature review from relevant sources. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation study and observation of learning conditions. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results show that educators’ strategies in creating a comfortable learning environment, applying flexible learning methods, and relating learning materials to daily life can improve learners’ activeness and participation in the learning process. However, there are still several challenges, such as limited learning time, differences in learners’ backgrounds, and limited learning facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, appropriate educator strategies and support from various parties are needed to improve the quality of learning in PKBM so that it can run more effectively.

Abstract

This article examines the historical development of organizational sociology and the contribution of classical sociological theory to understanding modern organizational dynamics. Organizational sociology emerged alongside social transformations driven by industrialization and modernization, which encouraged the formation of structured institutions to manage collective human activities. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research methods by analyzing relevant sociological literature, classical theoretical works, and contemporary academic sources. The analysis focuses on the ideas of classical sociologists, namely Auguste Comte, Karl Marx, Émile Durkheim, and Max Weber, whose theoretical perspectives laid the foundation for organizational analysis. The findings show that organizational sociology developed as an extension of classical sociological thought, emphasizing scientific approaches, social solidarity, power relations, division of labor, and bureaucratic rationality. Classical sociological theories remain relevant in explaining contemporary organizational phenomena, including leadership, institutional structure, work relations, and organizational effectiveness in the modern era. Understanding the historical roots of organizational sociology provides a comprehensive framework for analyzing organizational changes in response to globalization and technological development in the 21st century.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social construction of small traders regarding the KUR BRI program in Tanjung Anyar Market, Mojokerto City. The conditions in the field indicate a discrepancy between the objectives of the KUR program as an effort to address capital constraints and the reality of declining income due to the decreasing number of market visitors. This study employs a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach to understand the meanings constructed by traders based on their experiences and social interactions. The subjects of this study are small traders who have been KUR BRI customers for at least one year, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews and field observations, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this study show that the social construction of traders is formed through three processes: externalization, objectification, and internalization. The KUR program is interpreted not only as government financial assistance but also as an economic burden amid declining market conditions. Social factors such as networks, trust, and experience also influence traders’ economic decisions. This study demonstrates that economic reality is not merely rational but is also socially constructed in the everyday lives of traders.

Abstract

Nonformal education plays an important role in improving community skills and empowerment. One form of nonformal education is the handicraft training program organized by Community Learning Activity Centers (PKBM). This study aims to analyze the implementation of National Education Standards (SNP) in the handicraft training program at PKBM Dahlia. The research employed a descriptive approach using mixed methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation involving administrators, tutors, and training participants. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using quantitative and qualitative approaches by relating the research findings to community education theories and nonformal education standards. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the National Education Standards in the handicraft training program at PKBM Dahlia has been fairly effective, particularly in terms of the learning process, participant involvement, and the resulting skill outcomes. Participants were able to produce various handicraft products such as keychains, chenille wire flowers, and miniature ice cream stick models. However, several aspects still need improvement, especially in the learning evaluation system, monitoring the application of skills after training, and strengthening the economic impact for participants. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a more structured evaluation system, provide post-training assistance, and conduct entrepreneurship training to enhance the sustainability of the program.
