Abstract

Hyperbilirubinemia in newborns is a common condition that can potentially cause complications if not treated properly. Mothers' lack of knowledge prior to giving birth about the prevention and treatment of hyperbilirubinemia can increase the risk of delayed treatment, thus requiring effective health education. This study aims to determine the effect of S.I.L.M.A + FR education on mothers' knowledge about the prevention and treatment of hyperbilirubinemia at Graha Permata Ibu Hospital in Depok in 2025. This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test design. The study sample consisted of 16 respondents selected using total sampling technique, using a questionnaire instrument on knowledge about hyperbilirubinemia. The results showed that before education, mothers' knowledge was in the “fair” category at 62.5% and “poor” at 31.3%, while after education, there was an increase in knowledge to the ‘fair’ category at 68.8% and “good” at 31.3%. The results of the paired t-test showed a significance value of 0.0001, which means that there was an increase in mothers' knowledge after being given S.I.L.M.A + FR education. This education has an effect on increasing mothers' knowledge about the prevention and treatment of hyperbilirubinemia in newborns and can be applied as a promotive and preventive measure in maternal and child health services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Culturally Community-Based Tourism (CCBT), identify the roles of actors within the Hexahelix model, and explain the integration of both concepts in fostering environmental awareness practices in Kampung Lawas Maspati, Surabaya. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive data analysis technique consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of CCBT in Kampung Lawas Maspati successfully integrates cultural preservation, community empowerment, and sustainable environmental management. The local community plays a central role in maintaining environmental cleanliness, preserving cultural heritage, developing local micro-enterprises, and strengthening the value of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) as the village’s social capital. Furthermore, the Hexahelix model, involving government, academics, business sector, media, community, and supporting partners, has strengthened multi-stakeholder collaboration in promoting sustainable ecotourism development. The integration of Hexahelix and CCBT has generated various environmental stewardship practices, including urban greening, waste bank management, productive utilization of limited spaces, and the implementation of the Kampung Madani Program. The findings also indicate that these practices are consistent with the principles of deep ecology, which view the environment as an integral part of social life rather than merely an economic resource.

Abstract

Sleep quality is an essential aspect of individuals' physical and psychological well-being. University students are among the groups most vulnerable to sleep quality problems due to academic demands that may induce stress and anxiety. This study aimed to examine the relationship between anxiety and sleep quality among students experiencing academic stress. A quantitative correlational design was employed involving 120 students from Bhayangkara University, Greater Jakarta, selected using incidental sampling. Data were collected using the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) to assess sleep quality and an adapted version of the State–Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) to measure anxiety. Data were analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation. The results revealed a significant positive correlation between anxiety and sleep quality (r = 0.814, p 0.001), indicating a very strong association. Higher levels of anxiety were associated with poorer sleep quality among students experiencing academic stress. These results suggest that anxiety is significantly associated with sleep quality in students experiencing academic stress.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Qur’anic concept of balance in the utilization of natural resources and to formulate the ethical limits of natural resource exploitation through a thematic Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir maudhu‘i) approach. The research is motivated by the growing global ecological crisis, which is largely driven by excessive exploitation of natural resources and has resulted in widespread environmental degradation, including deforestation, flooding, landslides, and climate change. Employing a library research method, this study analyzes relevant Qur’anic verses concerning the environment by drawing upon classical and contemporary Qur’anic commentaries, as well as other pertinent scholarly literature. The data are examined using a descriptive-analytical approach to explore the relationship between the Qur’anic texts and the interpretations of Muslim exegetes regarding the principles of ecological balance, human stewardship (khil?fah), and the prohibition of environmental destruction. The findings reveal that the Qur’an views nature as a divine trust (am?nah) that must be managed responsibly, equitably, and sustainably. The principles of moderation, balance, environmental stewardship, and the prohibition of corruption on earth constitute the normative foundation for Islamic environmental ethics. This study concludes that the exploitation of natural resources should be governed by the principles of public welfare (ma?la?ah), ecological balance, and environmental responsibility, thereby positioning the Qur’anic eco-theological perspective as a fundamental framework for promoting sustainable development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the cook-fresh system in food production at the Nutrition Installation of Muhammadiyah Gresik Hospital, covering menu planning, food preparation, cooking, storage, distribution, and patient meal service. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observations and in-depth interviews with the head of the nutrition installation, dietitians, food production staff, and food distribution officers. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing by comparing the findings with relevant theories and previous studies. The results showed that the implementation of the cook-fresh system at the Nutrition Installation of Muhammadiyah Gresik Hospital has been carried out in accordance with the applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). All stages of food production have applied hygiene, sanitation, and food safety principles. Temperature control during food production, the application of FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methods in food storage, and timely food distribution contributed to maintaining the quality and safety of patient meals. However, improvements are still needed in the consistency of temperature recording and monitoring compliance with SOPs.

Abstract

This community service initiative aimed to assess the effectiveness of a psychoeducational intervention based on Carol Dweck’s growth mindset theory among adolescents participating in Scout activities at MTs Terpadu Attaqwa 04. The intervention employed an experiential learning approach, incorporating material presentation, discussions, educational games, reflection, and case studies. Seven Scout members participated in the study. Evaluation was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests to measure changes in attitudes and knowledge. The results showed an increase in the average attitude score from 45 to 46 and a rise in the knowledge score from 8 to 10 following the intervention. Throughout the activities, participants demonstrated active engagement, the confidence to express their opinions, and improved teamwork. These findings indicate that growth mindset-based psychoeducation can help adolescents understand that abilities can be developed through effort, practice, and learning experiences, thereby potentially fostering more resilient, confident, and adaptive character traits.

Abstract

This study examines how professional suitability is constructed in corporate recruitment documents in Indonesia, addressing the tendency of employability research to treat employability primarily as a measurable individual attribute. Using a qualitative document analysis approach, the study analyzes two documents: the 2025 Sustainability Report of PT Astra International Tbk and the official careers portal of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. These documents are interpreted through Bourdieu's theory of capital and conceptually compared with Rivera's (2012) findings on cultural matching in recruitment within elite professional service firms in the United States. The findings show that both documents construct professional suitability through the explicit integration of technical competencies and personal characteristics, the framing of cultural capital (particularly foreign language proficiency) as an explicit added value, and the institutionalization of interpersonal assessment mechanisms ("Group Dynamics") as a formal stage of the recruitment process. This study contributes to the literature by treating corporate recruitment documents as social data that reveal implicit evaluative categories.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perspective of Millennials and older generations toward the phenomenon of Generation Z power dominance in modern organizational ecosystems through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The SLR method based on the PRISMA 2020 protocol enabled the systematic identification and synthesis of 24 scientific articles published between 2021 and 2025 from six international academic databases. The findings identified three main themes emerging from the literature: (1) the shift in power distribution influenced by Generation Z's digital competencies and new values; (2) the psychological and behavioral responses of Millennials, including leadership identity tensions and managerial strategy adaptations; and (3) the urgency of developing integrative cross-generational leadership approaches. These findings contribute to the development of multigenerational leadership theory in the context of post-disruption industrial and organizational psychology, while also proposing a practical framework for organizations in managing intergenerational authority transitions constructively.

Abstract

Subjective well-being is an important foundation in adolescent development, particularly for adolescents living in residential neighborhoods who face academic pressure, peer pressure, and uncertainty regarding their educational or economic future. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of a group-based positive psychology intervention in increasing positive affect as one component of subjective well-being among adolescents aged 15–19 years living in a residential neighborhood. The intervention was carried out with eight adolescents through four sessions designed using psychoeducation, ice breaking, group discussion, and structured positive psychology exercises, namely gratitude journal, strengths mapping, gratitude letter, and positive vision board. Data were collected through observation during the activities and pre-test and post-test measurements using the Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE). Descriptive analysis showed that the mean positive affect score increased from 27 to 32, while the mean negative affect score decreased from 20 to 13 after the program. These findings indicate that a group-based positive psychology intervention emphasizing emotional awareness, strengths exploration, expression of gratitude, and future aspiration setting is effective in increasing positive affect among adolescents in residential neighborhoods and can serve as an alternative program for developing adolescents' psychological well-being.

Abstract

The Korean Wave phenomenon has increased the consumption and collection of K-pop merchandise among adolescents. This study aims to identify the characteristics of K-pop fans, analyze their motivations and objectives in consuming and collecting merchandise, describe the process of obtaining merchandise, and examine the rationality of their actions based on Max Weber's Social Action Theory. This study employed a qualitative method using the Verstehen approach. The participants were ten adolescent K-pop fans in Surabaya selected through purposive sampling. The researcher served as the main instrument, supported by interview and observation guidelines. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations and analyzed using the Verstehen approach through observation, interpretation, empathy, and generalization. The findings indicate that albums and photocards are the most commonly consumed and collected merchandise. Fans are mainly motivated by admiration for their idols, emotional satisfaction, support for idols, and the desire to complete their collections. Although emotional factors strongly influence purchasing decisions, participants also consider financial conditions, prices, product quality, usefulness, and resale value before making purchases. Based on Max Weber's Social Action Theory, affective action is the dominant form of action, followed by instrumental rational action, value-rational action, and traditional action. Therefore, consuming and collecting K-pop merchandise reflects not only emotional motives but also rational considerations.
