Abstract

This change action plan is an effort to increase the percentage of the Naira community receiving weather information provided by the station. receiving weather information provided by Class III Bandaneira Meteorological Station - Central Maluku. The purpose of this change action plan is to improve the dissemination of weather information services at Bandaneira Meteorological Station through the Cable TV network, and followed by socialisation to the community to facilitate the community in accessing weather information. The change action "Improving the Dissemination of Weather Information Services through the Local Cable TV Network" has helped Bandaneira Meteorological Station in improving performance in terms of public services to the community. Through socialisation conducted by an effective team in introducing Cable TV media as an alternative means of dissemination in addition to the social media already owned by Bandaneira Meteorological Station, it has made it easier for people who have limited internet access to access or obtain weather information services so that they can help in supporting their daily activities.

Abstract

Indikator stabilitas atmosfer menunjukkan apakah kondisi udara lapisan atas berpotensi ekstrem atau tidak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengklasifikasikan indikator stabilitas atmosfer di provinsi Aceh dengan menggunakan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) berdasarkan data radiosonde tahun 2020 hingga 2023 dari Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa indikator stabilitas atmosfer mempunyai bobot variasi dalam menentukan potensi kejadian cuaca ekstrem. Urutan indikator kestabilan atmosfer adalah Lifted Index (LI), Convective Available Potential Energy (CAPE), Convective Inhibition (CIN), Total Totals Index (TT), Severe Weather Threat Index (SWEAT), K Index (KI), dan Showalter Index (SI). Berdasarkan nilai bobot, dapat diartikan sebagai indikator prioritas yang digunakan dalam menentukan potensi kejadian cuaca ekstrem di Aceh. Kami merekomendasikan penerapan AHP pada penelitian ini digunakan untuk memberikan dasar pengambilan keputusan yang lebih baik dalam pengelolaan sistem informasi peringatan dini cuaca penerbangan.

Abstract

The blue economy represents an innovative approach to harnessing the marine economy's potential while safeguarding the sea and its ecosystems. This paper aims to explore the potential contribution of Indonesia's Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) through Fishermen's Weather Field Schools (SLCN) in supporting the country's blue economy. By analyzing the role of SLCN as a collaborative platform for stakeholders in the fisheries industry, the paper seeks to integrate stakeholder capabilities into a comprehensive framework for a successful and sustainable blue economy. It recommends leveraging SLCN as a ready-to-use platform for stakeholder interaction and encourages collaboration among researchers, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to ensure the safety and success of local fishermen through effective research and communication.

Abstract

A tropical cyclone is an atmospheric low pressure system in the tropics region that forms through convection over warm waters. The impacts of tropical cyclones include high intensity rain, strong winds, high waves, and storm surge, which can cause economic losses, environmental damage, and even loss of life. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of tropical cyclone early warning system in Indonesia, using Seroja tropical cyclone as a case study. The research method involved a field survey in the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) region using a questionnaire designed based on the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) TCP-24 guidance document. The results showed that the current tropical cyclone early warning system is still ineffective. It is hoped that the findings of this study can provide information on the level of understanding and response of the community, and help improve the tropical cyclone early warning system in Indonesia.

Abstract

Partikulat (PM2.5 dan PM10) adalah salah satu pencemar udara yang paling umum. Jika terhirup, partikulat berbahaya bagi kesehatan manusia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan firmware untuk sistem pemantauan konsentrasi partikulat di udara. Ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan indeks kualitas udara berdasarkan standar ISPU. Sensor Sensirion SPS30 dan mikrokontroler Raspberry Pi mengoperasikan sistem pemantauan. Hasil pembacaan ditampilkan dan disimpan di dalam komputer. Untuk memenuhi setiap perintah yang dapat diterima sensor, firmware dikembangkan. Untuk mendapatkan pengukuran yang tepat, algoritma pengukuran konsentrasi partikulat juga harus dipertimbangkan. Firmware dikembangkan untuk membantu mikrokontroler dan sensor berkomunikasi. Firmware diuji untuk menghitung konsentrasi massa partikulat di Kemayoran. Hasil tes menunjukkan bahwa nilai PM 1.0 di area pengukuran terendah adalah 32,23, dan nilai konsentrasi PM 1.0 tertinggi adalah 36,03. Hasil dari pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa nilai ISPU  di daerah pengukuran berada pada tingkat baik.

Abstract

The relationship and influence between lightning activity and sunspot activity are relevant in understanding potentially hazardous and detrimental natural phenomena. This research aims to determine the relationship and influence of sunspot activity on lightning activity in the area of Kota Ternate and its surroundings. The study utilizes lightning and sunspot data spanning a period of 13 years in the Ternate city area and its vicinity. The results of the analysis indicate a positive correlation, but not very strong. Regression analysis shows that sunspot activity influences lightning activity by 47.5%. Trend analysis reveals that the majority of lightning occurrences follow the trend of sunspot activity. This indicates a relationship and influence between lightning activity and sunspot activity. With a deeper understanding of the factors influencing lightning activity, we can develop more effective mitigation strategies and increase awareness of the potential hazards associated with lightning

Abstract

The use of media tools in the learning process needs to be done in an effort to measure the learning achievements of the training participants. Kahoot as a popular application can be used to support the learning process, one of which is a closing lesson. A review of learning using the Kahoot in the course of the 2020 Pelatihan Dasar CPNS in Accountability Material has been carried out. The results show that in general participants are helped in getting an overview of learning (97% of participants), increasing enthusiasm and motivation to learn (98%), and stimulating curiosity. Regarding the material (96%), respondents also stated that they were happy to use kahoot (> 80%), as many as 98% of respondents had the perception that Kahoot played a role in fostering critical thinking skills, thinking skills and making quick decisions.

Abstract

Using the climate projection data from the ensemble model output from the CORDEX-SEA (Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment-South East Asia) grid-based (25 km x 25 km) project in Java (205 grids), a simulation of growth and production of rice was carried out using the AquaCrop FAO model (AquaCrop64bit version 5.0). The climate projection data is an ensemble of 6 models: CNRM-CM5, CSIRO-MK3.6, EC-EARTH, GFDL-ESM2M, IPSL and MPI-ESM-MR consisting of a 30-year period data: historical data for the period 1976-2005, RCP4.5 scenario for the 2020-2049 period and RCP8.5 scenario data for the 2020-2049 period in the form of daily rainfall data, maximum temperature, average temperature and minimum temperature. AquaCrop simulation uses climate and soil texture data variables with irrigation sources from rainwater. This study aims to determine the impact of climate change on rice productivity in Java as the changes in rice productivity in Java in the near future period (2020-2049) against the historical period (1976-2005) using RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 scenarios in the months of rainy season, dry season and transition seasons.. Climate change has an impact on increasing rice productivity 0-30% in the rainy season months throughout Java and in the dry season months it has an impact on reducing rice productivity 60-90% with a high emission scenario (RCP8.5) in rice production centers in coastal areas north of West Java, middle Java and the center of rice production in East Java. This condition can threaten national food security in the future.
