Abstract

This paper aims to provide an overview of trend issues regarding writings related to web-based learning (WBL) in the scope of mathematics education. This paper comes from 51 writings taken from the Scopus data base for the last 10 years, namely 2013-2023. The method used is bibliometric analysis using the help of Vosviewer and Mendeley. Based on the results of this paper study, it was found that writing about WBL in mathematics education is still low. There were 26 participating countries but the largest country, the United States, only produced 13 writings. In addition, collaboration between countries is still very low. Not only the linkage between countries, the relationship between keywords and WBL in mathematics education is also still few and tenuous. The keywords that are rarely used in writing related to web-based learning are about problem-based learning, high school, academic achievement, course design, flipped classroom, personalized learning, Moodle creativity, which are things that are closely related to learning approaches or methods. This is expected to be an opportunity and challenge in building novelty in future research.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of national education policies in achieving quality learning in higher Education in Indonesia. Using a mixed-methods approach, quantitative and qualitative data were collected from diverse stakeholders, including university administrators, faculty members, and students. The analysis revealed that 75% of administrators actively aligned their curricula with national objectives, demonstrating a commendable commitment. However, a significant challenge emerged, with 60% of administrators highlighting difficulties securing adequate funding for policy implementation, indicating a substantial barrier to effective execution. Positive correlations were identified, such as an 80% satisfaction rate among students regarding the relevance of their coursework to national development goals. Faculty members, in turn, perceived a positive impact on teaching methodologies (65%). Statistical analyses affirmed these trends, indicating a significant association (p < 0.05) between faculty development programs funded through national policies and enhanced teaching effectiveness. Despite these positive findings, challenges in resource allocation and potential limitations in generalization were acknowledged. Recommendations include targeted interventions to address funding disparities and further research exploring longitudinal impacts and contextual nuances. This study contributes valuable insights to policymakers, educators, and researchers, offering a nuanced understanding of the complex dynamics influencing the quality of learning in Indonesia's higher education landscape.

Abstract

The revolution of Islamic education thought in the era of Society 5.0 was characterized by a series of corrections and in-depth analysis of studies conducted in Islamic higher education institutions in South Kalimantan. During this transformative period, scholars and educators within these institutions began to reevaluate and refine their educational methodologies. They identified deficiencies in traditional teaching approaches and employed innovative strategies to adapt to the evolving needs of society. Technological advancements were pivotal in this revolution, as online platforms, interactive learning tools, and digital resources were integrated into the curriculum. This shift expanded access to education and enhanced the overall quality of teaching and learning. Moreover, faculty members conducted extensive research and critically assessed the existing educational paradigms. The outcomes of these studies guided the development of curricula that were more responsive to the contemporary challenges faced by students. The corrections and analyses fostered a dynamic and student-centric educational environment, ultimately preparing graduates to thrive in the complex, technology-driven landscape of Society 5.0.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the student's ability to read the Qur'an after learning tahsin control. This type of research is quantitative research. The population and samples used as the subject of this study were class X F MAN 1 Paser students totaling 30 students. This study used several techniques in data collection, namely, observation, tests, and documentation. Data processing uses validity and reliability test formulas, Product moment, "t" test, and determination test. The results showed a Pearson product-moment correlation with the value of "r" at the 5% and 1% significance levels obtained that the value of rxy = 0.527> 0.374 and 0.478, namely the value of rhitug is greater than the value of rtabel both at the 5% and 1% significance levels, so there is a significant relationship between tahsin control and students' ability to read the Qur'an. Furthermore, simple linear regression analysis Y = 49.262 + 0.593, if tahsin control increases by 1%, the ability to read the student's Al-Qur'an will also increase by 0.593. Based on the results of this study, there is a positive influence between tahsin control and students' ability to read the Qur'an by 59%, the higher the tahsin control is implemented, the higher the ability to read the Qur'an will be.

Abstract

In 21st century learning, students must have Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Collaborative and Communicative, better known as 4C skills. 4C skills help students provide solutions in solving a problem. However, teachers have not been able to stimulate students to have 4C thinking skills. The discovery model is one model that is effective in encouraging students to think 4C. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on students' 4c thinking abilities. This type of research is meta-analysis research. Data sources come from 10 national and international journals. Search for data sources via Google Scholar, ERIC, ScienceDirect, DOAJ, and Wiley databases. The data collection technique is direct observation through databases and documentation. The data analysis technique calculates the effect size value with the help of the JASP application. The research results concluded that the average score for critical thinking was 82.17, creative thinking 80.52, communication 85.16, and collaboration 80.57. Furthermore, the average effect size value is 1.017 with high criteria. These findings explain that the discovery learning model has a significant effect on students' 4c thinking abilities

Abstract

Social media is a product of information and communication technology used by many people around the world, from children to adults. Although not created specifically for educational purposes, social media have attracted the attention of some educators, especially in the field of English teaching and learning. The objective of this study is to find out the types of social media used by English department students in the first semester of UNIMED and the use of social media in learning English writing. This study was conducted using a descriptive-qualitative design. The researcher used questionnaires, interviews, and documents as tools to collect data. The primary data in this research was obtained from questionnaires and interviews with the students who were active in using social media in learning English writing. Then, the secondary data contained recordings and documentation obtained from the students as the subjects of this research. The data analysis techniques used were data condensation, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. To test the validity of the data, the researcher used the credibility technique with the source triangulation method. The result of this research showed that there were seven types of social media used by the students in learning English writing, namely Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, Web blog, Wikipedia. Students mainly use social media to learn English writing using a number of features provided, including allowing them to interact with friends such as individual chats, group chats, comment sections, captions, descriptions, history and biography. Additionally, they also use some of these social media as learning resources to help them develop their English writing skills.
