Abstract

Many learning methods are things that make it easy for teachers to apply to students and can choose what learning methods are in accordance with the needs of students. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of postgraduate students of Sunan Giri University Surabaya in teaching Islamic Religious Education materials. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations and documentation studies. Researchers conducted a process of collecting, reducing, and concluding data, then testing the validity of the data through triangulation techniques. The results showed that the implementation of cooperative learning methods in microteaching activities was carried out using eight steps of cooperative learning. The obstacles that occur include student instability in the classroom, many students are not happy when told to work together with other students, students are worried that the work will not be divided fairly. The ways taken in overcoming these obstacles are by providing directions and reminding the learning objectives to be achieved.

Abstract

The purpose of preparing this work is for Islamic Education teachers' strategies in dealing with drugs as an effort to improve student morale. This research uses the library research method by collecting and analyzing data from various literature such as books, scientific journals, research reports, seminar articles and relevant official documents. Data collection techniques involve literature searches in libraries, online databases, and academic repositories, as well as literature review and document analysis to understand the strategies of Islamic Religious Education teachers. Data analysis includes identification of main themes, categorization of data, and synthesis of information to draw conclusions and provide recommendations for implementation in educational contexts. This research reveals the strategies of Islamic Education teachers in tackling drug abuse and improving student morale through a personal approach, integrative learning and religious extracurricular activities. Routine education about the dangers of drugs is carried out in collaboration with the police, and Islamic Education teachers act as role models with consistent behavior that is imitated by students. Strengthening character through interactive curriculum, collaboration with parents, application of positive discipline, and use of technological media are also emphasized. Routine evaluation and monitoring is carried out to assess effectiveness and adjust the strategies implemented.

Abstract

Teaching skills are specific abilities that must be possessed by teachers or prospective teachers in order to carry out teaching tasks efficiently, professionally and effectively. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of postgraduate students of Sunan Giri University Surabaya in teaching about Islamic Religious Education material. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. Researchers conducted the process of collecting, reducing, and concluding data through triangulation techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the lecture and question and answer method in the microteaching program of Islamic Education Postgraduate students at Sunan Giri University Surabaya was divided into three activities, namely the first initial activity includes conveying learning objectives and managing student attention and conditions, the second core activity includes presentation of material, providing opportunities for questions and answers between students and providing conclusions and the third final activity includes conducting evaluations. Among the advantages is that the lecture method is very effective when the number of students is larger. In addition, the lecture and question and answer method applied in this program also has shortcomings including students getting bored easily so that as a step taken, namely by using audio-visual learning media as a support for the process of implementing the microteaching program.

Abstract

Kelompok remaja biasanya menggunakan bahasa gaul, yaitu bahasa yang kata-katanya diubah sehingga hanya mereka yang dapat memahami makna dan maksudnya. Remaja khususnya sangat dipengaruhi oleh bahasa yang digunakan oleh influencer media sosial, khususnya di Instagram. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui istilah-istilah gaul yang digunakan dalam caption Instagram @dwihandaanda dan mengkaji bagaimana pengaruhnya terhadap pelestarian bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif kualitatif, pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi. Model kualitatif yang terdiri dari langkah-langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Beberapa jenis bahasa gaul ditemukan dalam temuan penelitian, seperti: a) singkatan (4 data), b) menggunakan bahasa asing (1 data), c) mengganti fonem vokal (7 data), d) mengganti fonem konsonan (3 data), e) kontraksi (1 data), f) menghilangkan fonem vokal (1 data), g) akronim (8 data), h) mengganti diftong (3 data), dan i) kosakata khas (4 data). Lebih jauh lagi, telah ditunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa gaul oleh para influencer Instagram memiliki efek yang merugikan terhadap pelestarian bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of implementing contextualized learning on students' engagement and their academic achievement in education. This quantitative research used an experiment with a control and experimental group design, with a population of 300 grade X students from MA Mamba'us Sholihin. The experimental group was treated using the contextualized learning model, while the control group followed conventional learning. Data were collected through student engagement surveys, learning outcome tests, and direct observation during the learning process. The results showed that students who learned with the contextual approach showed a higher level of engagement compared to the control group. In addition, they also obtained better academic results in the final exam. The findings suggest that contextualized learning can increase students' motivation and support higher academic achievement in their learning at the boarding school.

Abstract

This study is concerned with Sufism education which is seen as an alternative model of Islamic religious education in instilling comprehensive Islamic values ​​in students in the context of Indonesia with its high level of heterogeneity. The main focus of this study is based on Sufism education in forming nationalist-religious attitudes at the Ngalah Islamic Boarding School, namely: 1) the concept of Sufism education, 2) the process of Sufism education in forming nationalist-religious attitudes, and 3) forms of nationalist-religious attitudes at the Ngalah Islamic Boarding School. To get a natural picture of the research, qualitative research was conducted to understand the essence of a series of daily events in a particular community. This qualitative research was chosen to describe, understand, and interpret the phenomena, events, and social activities that occur in the Ngalah Pasuruan Islamic boarding school—data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document analysis. From the field study, the following findings were obtained: First, the concept of Sufism education in the Ngalah Islamic boarding school uses the tarekat system, while the Naqsyabandiyyah Khalidiyyah tarekat as an institution of Sufism education, and the Naqsyabandiyyah Khalidiyyah tarekat is one of the Mu'tabarah Thariqah. Second, the Sufism education process is carried out comprehensively, reflecting the integration between cognitive, psychomotor, and affective, balanced between the practice of ritual worship and social. In the process, it was found that there was a habituation of spirituality in the Ngalah Islamic Boarding School which was an important component in the formation of a Nationalist-Religious attitude. Third, the form of Nationalist-Religious attitudes include attitudes of faith and piety, patience, tolerance, togetherness and unity, family and affection, balance, love of the homeland, love of culture and national customs. The results of this study have theoretical conclusions as the development of Islamic education curriculum, can be implemented in all educational environments, simple, effective, and efficient in achieving the goals of instilling faith and piety, fostering spiritual and physical, ritual and social piety and having a nationalist-religious attitude that embodies the concept of Pancasilaism and Bhineka Tunggal Ika, while the practical implications are to smooth the mental revolution movement echoed by the government through the spiritual revolution movement.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate application of the demonstration method can enhance student learning motivation in Fiqh Thaharah lessons at MTs Hidayatud Diniyah. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the demonstration method created an active and communicative learning environment. Students became more enthusiastic in participating in question-and-answer sessions, showing increased active participation and understanding of the material. Before the demonstration method was applied, the written test evaluation showed that only 40% of students achieved the ideal score, while 60% did not meet the minimum completion standard. However, after the demonstration method was implemented, 92.5% of students were able to perform the wudhu practice correctly, showing a significant improvement of 65.2%.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the understanding of fourth-grade students in the theme "Indahnya Negeriku" through the implementation of the scientific learning model. Based on pre-cycle conditions showing difficulties in understanding the concepts of environmental conservation, map-making, and cardinal directions, this research was conducted in three cycles to address these issues. The method used is a quasi-experimental approach with the application of video-based learning, discussions, and practical activities. The results of the study show significant improvements in each cycle. In the first cycle, students’ understanding of environmental conservation reached 70%, map-making skills were 65%, and participation in discussions was 60%. The second cycle showed 80% understanding of cardinal directions, 70% ability to draw classroom maps, and 75% participation in discussions. In the third cycle, students' understanding of historical tourist sites reached 85%, presentation skills were 75%, and participation in discussions was 80%. Although some challenges, such as difficulties in accurate drawing, were encountered, this research indicates that the scientific learning model significantly improves student involvement and understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of distance learning based on digital technology on the achievement of fiqh scores at MI Nurul Hidayah Surabaya. The approach used is qualitative with a descriptive method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results show that the use of Google form as an online learning medium is highly effective in supporting the fiqh teaching and learning process, evidenced by the high average student score of 12.13. Despite challenges in technology infrastructure and students' digital literacy, the use of Google form yielded positive results, especially with the active support from parents. This study concludes that distance learning based on digital technology can improve the quality of education at MI Nurul Hidayah Surabaya, particularly in the subject of fiqh, provided that infrastructure and training for students and teachers are enhanced.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the integrated curriculum of Religion and Science in character development of students at MTs Nurul Cholil Bangkalan. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, as well as documentation related to the curriculum implementation. Data analysis was conducted using techniques of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that the integration of religious values and science in learning has positively impacted students' character development, such as enhanced discipline, responsibility, and empathy. However, challenges exist regarding the readiness of human resources and infrastructure that need to be addressed to maximize the effectiveness of this integrated curriculum implementation. Recommendations from this study include the necessity for continuous training for educators and improvement of supporting facilities to sustain the integration of the Religion and Science curriculum in students' character development.
