Abstract

Students face various demands during their education, which can lead to low college student subjective well-being. College student subjective well-being is a person's evaluation of their life, specifically the extent to which their meaningful assessments and affective reactions indicate that their life is desirable and going well. Several factors influence college student subjective well-being, including Big Five personality traits and gender. This study aimed to determine the influence of Big Five personality traits and gender on college student subjective well-being. Data collection methods used demographic data, gender, the College Student Subjective Well-Being Questionnaire, and the Big Five Personality Questionnaire IPIP BMF-50. The subjects were 228 students from the fourth to eighth semesters of Malahayati University, Bandar Lampung. Statistical tests revealed that Big Five personality traits and gender simultaneously influenced college student subjective well-being. Other findings indicate that gender and the personality trait of conscientiousness are the strongest predictors of college student subjective well-being, while neuroticism has no effect on college student subjective well-being. The implications of this research can be used as input for students to actively engage, improve motivation, concentration, and academic performance, and influence student-faculty relationships, potentially fostering more positive interactions and academic support.

Abstract

Students face various new demands in their lives, such as academic pressures and environmental demands. In their lives, students are often faced with various situations that impact their level of flourishing. Family social support and self-efficacy are factors that influence an individual's level of flourishing. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family social support and self-efficacy and flourishing in students. The sampling technique used was quota sampling. The subjects were 254 students at Malahayati University. The measurement instruments used were the PERMA Scale, the PSS-FA Scale, and the GSE Scale. The results showed that the level of flourishing in students at Malahayati University was in the moderate category. This may be due to students feeling that their lives were not yet good enough to achieve happiness and satisfaction. A significance value of 0.000 was obtained, with 0.000 < 0.05. This suggests that family social support and self-efficacy simultaneously have a relationship with flourishing. There is a positive relationship between peer social support and personality tendencies toward flourishing in college students.

Abstract

The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia affirms that everyone has the right to receive health services. Hospitals are one of the health services, and as a health service, a hospital's ability to meet patient needs can be measured by the level of patient satisfaction, which is based on five principles of service quality: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Therefore, patients who are satisfied with hospital services will have a positive impact and benefit the hospital, while dissatisfied patients will be detrimental to the hospital. The purpose of this study was to analyze the satisfaction of third-class inpatients at Pertamina Bintang Amin Husada Hospital, Bandar Lampung. This study was quantitative with a cross-sectional design. Accidental sampling was used, selecting 105 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Data analysis used chi-square analysis and multivariate analysis using logistic regression. The results showed that most of the patients were satisfied, amounting to 63 patients (60%), and the dimensions of the quality of health services in the Hospital were tangible, mostly good, amounting to 66 patients (62.9%), reliability, mostly good, amounting to 61 patients (58.1%), responsiveness, mostly good, amounting to 69 patients (65.7%), assurance, mostly good, amounting to 57 patients (54.3%), and empathy, mostly good, amounting to 58 patients (55.2%). There was a significant relationship between the quality dimensions and patient satisfaction as follows, p-value tangible is <0.001, p-value reliability is <0.001, p-value responsiveness is <0.001, p-value assurance is <0.001, p-value empathy is <0.001. The most dominant variable related to patient satisfaction is the reliability variable with OR = 147,589. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy with patient satisfaction at Pertamina Bintang Amin Husada Hospital, Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

Posyandu provides easy access to basic health services for the community, particularly to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates (MMR) and infant mortality rates (IMR). However, since the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of toddler visits to Posyandu has decreased. The average percentage of toddlers weighed in Lampung Province is 67.5%, and the D/S indicator in Metro City is 72.6%, still below the provincial target of 80%. The purpose of this study is to analyze the satisfaction dimensions of mothers with toddlers regarding visits to Posyandu during the new normal period in the Mulyojati Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in Metro City in 2022. This study was quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The study population was 660 and the sample size was 242. The sampling method used was non-random sampling, purposive sampling, and proportional sampling. Analysis used chi-square and logistic regression. The study found a correlation between satisfaction with the direct evidence dimension (p-value 0.000 OR=2.9), reliability (p-value 0.006 OR=2.1), responsiveness (p-value 0.000 OR=2.8), confidence (p-value 0.000 OR=3.9), and empathy (p-value 0.000 OR=3.3) and visits by mothers with toddlers to integrated health posts (Posyandu) during the new normal period. The assurance dimension was the most dominant variable influencing visits by mothers with toddlers to integrated health posts (Posyandu) during the new normal period (OR=3.3). Local governments should improve the capacity of Posyandu cadres in interpersonal interactions/effective communication with their target audiences and improve their competency in serving infants and toddlers. Support cadres in improving their knowledge and skills by accessing specialized reading materials and holding jamborees for Posyandu cadres.

Abstract

Iron supplement consumption is an effort to prevent and address iron deficiency anemia in adolescent girls. A pre-survey at SMAN 1 Tumijajar revealed that 0.06%, or 30 female students, requested and consumed iron supplements in the health center (UKS) between January and April. Several factors that may influence iron supplement consumption among adolescent girls include knowledge, attitudes, peer influence, and family support. The objective of this study was to determine the factors influencing iron supplement consumption among adolescent girls at SMAN 1 Tumijajar, West Tulang Bawang Regency, in 2024. The study used a quantitative, observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 93 female students at SMAN 1 Tumijajar, West Tulang Bawang Regency, using a proportional random sampling technique. Data collection used questionnaires completed directly by the respondents. Univariate and bivariate analyses were conducted using the Chi-Square test. The results of the study showed that most female students did not consume iron-boosting tablets as many as 58 people (62.4%), respondents' knowledge was poor as many as 48 people (51.6%), attitudes were in the good category as many as 53 people (57.0%), the influence of friends was in the supportive category as many as 52 people (55.9%) and family support was in the supportive category as many as 50 people (53.8%). There was an influence of knowledge (p-value = 0.006 and OR = 3.804), attitude (p-value = 0.005 and OR = 3.761), the influence of friends (p-value = 0.009 and OR = 3.474) and family support (p-value = 0.002 and OR = 4.478) on the consumption of iron-boosting tablets. It is hoped that the principal can take policies to improve the SEPEKAN Program (schools concerned about anemia cases) such as activating adolescent health cadres (KKR) for the distribution of TTD.
