Abstract

On satellite communication systems, bandwidth and power are limited and expensive resources. Optimization of bandwidth and power utilization in Telkom 3S Satellite could be achieved if the ratio value of the percentage of bandwidth and power is 1: 1. The optimization conditions are influenced by the calculation of the link budget, the use of appropriate modulation and FEC settings. QPSK and 8-PSK modulation techniques with FEC used are ¾, 7/8, and 0.9 with a 9 m Hub antenna and VSAT SCPC with a diameter of 2.4 m and the same data rate of 1024 kbps. Based on the results of this research, the lower the modulation technique used, the lower the ratio of bandwidth and power. The most optimal FEC value to be used is 8-PSK modulation at FEC 0.93 with the resulting percentage is 97.25%, where the total carrier bandwidth generated is 93.415, and the amount of carrier power is 96.05, while the worst is modulation QPSK is at the FEC of 3/4 by producing a percentage of 35% which falls into the limited power category. Thus, the most appropriate modulation used on the Telkom 3S Satellite is the 8-PSK modulation with an FEC of 0.93.

Abstract

Abstract — The fifth-generation cellular technology (5G) is predicted to adopt a high-frequency channel, which could lead to a new challenge, namely, wave propagation attenuation. This attenuation is affected by natural conditions, such as barometric pressure, rain rate, humidity, and vegetation density. This paper proposes a 5G channel model under the barometric pressure effect to address the issue. The channel model is obtained from series computer simulations by operating frequency of 28 GHz and real-field parameters of Yogyakarta environments. The 5G channel model frameworks consist of two steps. First, generate the instantaneous Power Delay Profile (PDP) using NYU Wireless Simulator with real-field parameters of the environment. Second, the instantaneous PDP is then used to calculate the representative PDP. PDP differs from one country to another, especially on 5G technology, because of the high-frequency band, which is sensitive to nature. To observe the barometric pressure effect, we need to generate the instantaneous PDP with minimum and maximum barometric effects. PDP value used to calculate the outage probability of channel capacity (C) is smaller than the coding rate (R), indicating a failure of detection at the receiver based on the Shannon theory. Outage probability is obtained by the cumulative distribution function of the capacity evaluated against the coding rate. Outage probability results in both scenarios can reach a point of 10-4, for coding rate ½ needs 17.649883 dB, coding rate ¾ needs 20.020953 dB, and coding rate 1 needs 22 dB. This shows that barometric does not significantly influence the performance of the 5G communication system.

Abstract

Building a chatbot cannot be separated from the knowledge base. The knowledge base can be obtained from data that has been labeled by the developer, documents that have been converted into pre-processing data, or information taken from social media. In this case, the data used as knowledge is chat history. In the chat history there are certainly many variations of answers and allowing a question to give rise to many answers. To overcome these multi responses, response was made. The existence of ranking, of course the response desired by the user will be more appropriate. Challenge in ranking is how to get the essence a question and find pairs questions and answers from the data. This can be solved by a sequence to sequence model. However, the problem that will arise is the consistency of the answers. The existence of a lot of chat history certainly raises many explanations, even though the question's essence is the same. For this reason the CNN algorithm as a solution to the problem. This research uses convolutional sequence to sequence which will be applied for ranking responses. We compare the efficiency of this model. By making comparisons, this model shows an accuracy of 86.7%

Abstract

According to the identification of the Operating Support System (OSS) by the Smartfren cellular operator in the Central Bandung area, six sites are found to have high traffic capacity with the physical resource block (PRb) percentage of 82.6 %. The use of PRb > 80 % is included in the warning indicator 2 based on the operator’s standards. It is also strengthened by the condition of the existing sites with the average Reference Signal Receive Power (RSRP) of -103.3 dBm, Signal to Interference Noise Ratio (SINR) of 6.28 dB, and throughput of 27.78 Mbps, thus resulting in non-optimal network performance in the area. Therefore, in this study, the inter-band Carrier Aggregation (CA) was applied by combining the 40 Time Division Duplex (TDD) band (2300 MHz) and band 5 Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) (850 MHz). One of the advantages of applying this method is that it can increase the user network capacity by maximizing the resources owned by the operator. The predetermined scenario taking into account the initial network condition indicated a decrease in the PRb percentage by 44.50 % and an increase in the average RSRP value by 12.8 dBm, SINR by 5.14 dB, and throughput by 34.59 Mbps.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the use of technology to support teaching and learning activities. Lecturers and students have applied e-learning to teach subjects. The purpose of this evaluation is to measure the success of the use of STMIK Bumigora e-learning by using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach, which is an approach that can explain user behavior towards the use of technology. Evaluation of the use of e-learning is formulated into a model based on the TAM model, while SEM (Structural Equation Modelling) is used for data analysis. Based on the measurement analysis in this study, several factors most influenced the effectiveness of e-learning, namely the usage tutorial for users, ICT facilities related to the Ease of accessing the internet network. Meanwhile, in structural analysis, it was found that attitudes toward the use and perceived usefulness were strongly correlated with real use factors. The actual use is a real condition of the use of e-learning measured by the frequency and duration of time in using the technology, which is influenced by the user's belief in accepting the existence of e-learning in STMIK Bumigora and user beliefs related to the benefits when using it. Therefore, attitudes toward the use and perception of usefulness are the main determining factors in measuring the frequency and duration of e-learning use.

Abstract

Research in the field of text mining to process entries or words from the Qur'an is very beneficial for Muslims. This study aims to establish a set of synonyms for the thesaurus in the words of the Qur'an. This research is used because the source of knowledge about the science of the Qur'an is still lacking. The dataset in this study uses the Corpus Qur'an and English Translation. This research is a research development of an article that has been published, namely "The Development of Al-Qur'an Vocabulary Set Synonyms with WordNet Approach" by Laras Gupitasari. Input from this research system uses nouns from the translation of English words in the Quran. The output of the system produces several groups that have the same level of closeness of meaning displayed, the first group means the word in the group has a close meaning. To produce output, this study uses word grouping with a hierarchical grouping method and calculates distances using common paths, then groups results according to the closeness of meaning from word entries. The evaluation in this study produced an F-Measure value of 76%, F-Measure Value is an evaluation to measure the accuracy of predictions issued by the system.

Abstract

The determination of a disease syndrome in the TCM is difficult enough to determine because it requires a lot of experience in observing patients' symptoms that appear in disease syndrome and their disease syndrome history. Symptoms that appear in one disease syndrome are varied and can also appear in other disease syndromes. This research limits the determination of the type of syndrome only in the heart organ. The purpose of this study is to determine the type of heart syndrome in TCM by using Bayesian Networks. Bayesian Networks is used because it has the advantage of adapting expert knowledge toward the preferences of symptoms that arise at a type of heart syndrome. The expert's preference is in the weights that act as prior probabilities that are used as the basis for calculations on the Bayesian Networks. The results showed that the Bayesian Networks can be used to determine the type of heart syndrome well. The results of trials on 7 patients yield the same diagnosis between the doctor's diagnosis and the Bayesian Networks calculation
