Abstract

This study aimed to identify the alignment of the Chemistry Education Study Program curriculum documents at University X with the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy, evaluate its implementation, and assess lecture and student perceptions regarding MBKM’s impact on prospective teachers’ competencies. A case study approach was employed, utilizing analysis of curriculum document, observation of course, questionnaires, and interviews. The results indicated that the curriculum documents were aligned with the Higher Education Curriculum Development Guide-MBKM, including the formulation of graduate profiles, learning outcomes, curriculum maps, and course plans. These elements supported prospective teachers in developing competencies relevant to field demands and enabled student participation in MBKM activities. The MBKM implementation in this study program showed active involvement of lecture and students in activities such as ‘Kampus Mengajar’ and ‘Wirausaha Merdeka’, which positively impacted prospective teachers' competencies. Institutional support was a key factor in the program’s success. However, areas for improvement remained, particularly in the use of innovative learning methods such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Discovery, and Inquiry to help enhance prospective chemistry teachers' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Learning aims to obtain results in three aspects, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The cognitive aspect is knowledge that is measured by giving questions related to the material being taught. So that learning outcomes can be achieved well, it is necessary to have teaching methods that are relevant to the material being taught. One of the learning models and media that is relevant to thaharah material is the Three-Step Interview assisted by video media. This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the Three-Step Interview model assisted by video media on the learning outcomes of thaharah material for class VII students at SMPN 4 Kuala. This research uses a quantitative approach and experimental research type. Sample of 22 people. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests (pre-test and post-test). The data analysis technique uses a formula to calculate the mean and frequency distribution. From the results of the research, it can be seen that student learning outcomes are known from the pre-test scores, there are 15 students who have not completed the KKM score, with an average of 57.2% and this increases to 95.45% at the post-test stage. Thus, it can be said that the Three-Step Interview learning method assisted by video media plays a very important role in improving students' abilities in solving learning problems. Abstract

Critical and creative thinking skills are 21st century skills developed in the current education curriculum. Critical and creative thinking skills can be developed through the use of learning models with a scientific approach, namely inquiry social complexity. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the inquiry social complexity model on students' critical and creative thinking skills on salt hydrolysis material. The research method used is a quantitative method and a quasi-experimental research type with a posttest-only design with nonequivalent control groups. The test results using the independent sample t-test obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05. The results of the study indicate that there is an effect of using the inquiry social complexity model on students' critical and creative thinking skills on salt hydrolysis material.

Abstract

Solving non-routine math word problems is important to do because it will train students’ and teacher students’ creative, critical, collaborative and communicative thinking. Aims of this study are (1) to conduct developmental research to produce a product, that is, an innovative project-based learning model abbreviated as ANSARI (Auditory, Negotiation, Strategies-somatic, Administer Information, Reflection, and Interaction-communication) which is valid, practical and effective, namely the ANSARI model as a learning medium, (2) to find out its effectiveness after being trained on teacher students, teachers and students in schools as a group in solving non-routine word problems. The samples were 145 students from five high schools with different levels in Sigli City, Aceh Province, Indonesia. Data were analyzed quantitatively with One-way Anova and qualitatively to determine students' perceptions. The findings revealed that the ANSARI model has an influence in increasing teacher students’ and school students’ HOTS in the pre-test and post-test as well as students' perceptions of the learning model.
