Abstract

Abstract. The Tepak Sirih tradition is a mandatory offering in the Malay customary marriage in Nongsa, Batam, viewed from the perspective of Islamic law. Tepak Sirih is an important symbol in Malay customs that is usually presented by the groom's side to the bride's side during the wedding ceremony. This tradition is believed to be a manifestation of respect, politeness, and a serious commitment to building familial relationships. Nevertheless, the indigenous community believes that a marriage without Tepak Sirih does not fulfill the values of tradition, even though it remains valid according to religion and state law. The Tepak Sirih tradition is classified as 'urf fi'li, which means a habitual practice continuously performed by the community and not in conflict with the principles of Islamic law. Therefore, although this tradition is not obligatory according to Islamic law, its implementation is still permitted and appreciated as part of preserving local cultural values. Abstrak. Tradisi Tepak Sirih merupakan seserahan wajib dalam pernikahan adat Melayu di Nongsa, Batam, ditinjau dari perspektif hukum Islam. Tepak Sirih merupakan simbol penting dalam adat Melayu yang biasa diserahkan oleh pihak mempelai laki-laki kepada pihak mempelai perempuan dalam prosesi pernikahan. Tradisi ini diyakini sebagai wujud penghormatan, sopan santun, serta komitmen serius dalam membangun hubungan kekeluargaan. Meskipun demikian, masyarakat adat menganggap bahwa pernikahan tanpa Tepak Sirih tidak memenuhi nilai-nilai adat, meskipun tetap sah menurut agama dan hukum negara. Tradisi Tepak Sirih digolongkan sebagai ‘urf fi’li, yaitu kebiasaan perbuatan yang dilakukan terus-menerus oleh masyarakat dan tidak bertentangan dengan prinsip-prinsip syariat Islam. Oleh karena itu, meskipun tradisi ini tidak bersifat wajib menurut hukum Islam, pelaksanaannya tetap diperbolehkan dan dihargai sebagai bagian dari pelestarian nilai budaya lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to identify how holidays and tourism activities are used by Generation Z as a means of self-validation and personal branding through social media. The method used is qualitative descriptive with a social media observation approach and in-depth interviews with participants aged 18–25 who actively publish holiday content on Instagram and TikTok. The results show that the beauty of tourist destinations is no longer judged solely by physical experience, but rather by how "aesthetic" and shareable they are on social media. Social validation in the form of likes and comments has become the primary motivation for tourism activities. This phenomenon also creates unique social pressure among Gen Z, who feel compelled to continuously produce visual content to maintain their digital presence. This research is expected to serve as a reference for understanding the dynamics of digital culture and contemporary tourism.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini mengkaji Analisis kualitas layanan administrasi akademik di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Enrekang dengan menggunakan lima dimensi kualitas layanan, yaitu bukti fisik (tangibles), keandalan (reliability), daya tanggap (responsiveness), jaminan (assurance), dan empati (empathy). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas layanan administrasi akademik di MAN Enrekang secara umum berada dalam kategori baik. Dimensi keandalan, daya tanggap, jaminan, dan empati menunjukkan performa yang baik, ditandai dengan ketepatan pelayanan, responsivitas petugas, jaminan profesionalisme, serta sikap ramah dan perhatian terhadap pengguna layanan. Namun, pada dimensi bukti fisik, ditemukan bahwa fasilitas dan sarana pendukung layanan masih tergolong normal dan memerlukan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan dan efisiensi layanan. Temuan ini memberikan gambaran bahwa meskipun kualitas layanan sudah baik, peningkatan pada aspek fisik tetap diperlukan guna mendukung pelayanan administrasi akademik yang lebih optimal. Abstract

This study aims to describe the socio-emotional development of early childhood students at TK An-Nida and explore the involvement of parents and teachers in supporting the process. A descriptive qualitative method was used, involving direct observation and interviews. The results show that most children are at the "developing as expected" stage in terms of self-awareness, motivation, empathy, social skills, and self-regulation. However, challenges remain in emotional regulation and limited parental involvement in social-emotional learning activities at school. The study highlights the importance of synergy between school and family in creating an environment that supports optimal socio-emotional development in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the socio-emotional development of children aged 5–6 years at TKQ Baiturrahman and to analyze the involvement of the school and parents in supporting this development. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation and interviews. The results show that most children have developed as expected in aspects such as empathy, social affiliation, conflict resolution, and positive habits. However, some children still require further guidance in understanding others' emotions and resolving conflicts peacefully. These findings align with the theories of Erikson, Goleman, and Wolfinger, emphasizing the importance of developing empathy, self-awareness, and social responsibility. The study recommends active collaboration between teachers and parents to foster a supportive environment for optimal socio-emotional development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the socio-emotional development of early childhood through observation and interviews at TK Harun Ar-Rasyid. Socio-emotional development is a crucial aspect of character formation and children's readiness for further education. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, employing direct observation, teacher interviews, and assessment instruments based on socio-emotional development indicators. The findings reveal that most children at TK Harun Ar-Rasyid have shown good progress in recognizing and expressing emotions, forming social relationships, and cooperating with peers. Teachers' roles and parental involvement significantly influence this development. However, challenges remain, such as inconsistent parenting patterns and limited parental time. Therefore, stronger collaboration between the school and families is necessary to create a supportive environment for the socio-emotional development of early childhood.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are the main indicator in assessing the success of the learning process. These outcomes not only reflect students' academic achievements but also reflect the effectiveness of teaching methods, the role of teachers, and the overall learning environment. One learning model for fostering cooperation is the Quantum Learning model. This research method uses a qualitative approach. The informants in this study are science teachers. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The research findings are as follows: 1) The steps of the Quantum Learning model include nurture, experience, name, demonstrate, and repeat. 2) The advantages of the Quantum Learning model are a positive attitude, increased motivation, and lifelong learning skills; 3) The disadvantages of the Quantum Learning model are that it requires and demands more specialized teacher skills and expertise, as well as a well-planned and well-prepared learning process. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of halal values in the operational activities of Ayam Penyet Madinah, located at Jalan Tempuling No. 636, Siderejo Hilir District, Medan Tembung Regency. Using a qualitative method through observation and in-depth interviews with the business owner, Mr. Jhony Perdana, this research examines how halal principles are applied from raw material selection, production processes, human resource management, to customer service. The results indicate that Ayam Penyet Madinah consistently implements halal values across all operational aspects, although the official halal certification is still in process. This halal implementation contributes to increased consumer trust and loyalty as well as business sustainability. However, challenges such as limited access to certified halal raw materials and the need for enhanced employee understanding must be addressed through management innovation and continuous training. This study provides practical and theoretical contributions to the development of quality and competitive halal culinary businesses.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merangkum model dan teknik pembelajaran paling relevan bagi pendidikan sosiologi kontemporer, yang menuntut proses belajar lebih kritis, kontekstual, dan berbasis teknologi. Kajian ini memakai metode library research seperti menelaah buku, jurnal, dan laporan riset terkini (2020‑2025) untuk memetakan tren, tantangan, dan solusi di lapangan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan student‑centered seperti problem‑based learning (PBL) dan project‑based learning (PjBL) efektif menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, dan literasi digital mahasiswa. Integrasi teknologi melalui blended learning, flipped classroom, dan pemanfaatan LMS guna untuk memperluas akses sumber belajar sekaligus menjadi objek kajian sosiologi digital. Tantangan utama meliputi keterbatasan infrastruktur, minimnya pelatihan guru, dan kesenjangan antara teori serta praktik sosial. Solusinya mencakup peningkatan kompetensi guru berbasis TPACK, penyesuaian kurikulum agar lebih kontekstual, serta kolaborasi sekolah danmasyarakat. Studi kasus PBL di Madrasah Aliyah An‑Nur Sumenep menegaskan efektivitas pendekatan ini: partisipasi siswa, skor pemahaman materi, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis meningkat signifikan. Simpulan penelitian menyatakan bahwa model pembelajaran yang adaptif, kontekstual, dan terdigitalisasi menjadi kunci agar pendidikan sosiologi mampu menjawab dinamika sosial masa kini dan membentuk lulusan yang peka, reflektif, serta siap menjadi agen perubahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan metode pembelajaran aktif dalam pengajaran Sosiologi melalui analisis literatur. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Konstruktivisme Piaget yang pentingnya keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam membangun pengetahuan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana konsep dan prinsip pembelajaran aktif dapat diterapkan dalam pengajaran Sosiologi pada tingkat sekolah menengah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan cara studi pustaka, di mana informasi diambil dari jurnal akademik, buku, dan artikel yang relevan. Pembahasan artikel ini mencakup empat bagian penting, yaitu: (1) konsep dan prinsip pembelajaran aktif dalam konteks pembelajaran Sosiologi, (2) karakteristik pembelajaran Sosiologi serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaannya, (3) studi kasus mengenai penerapan pembelajaran aktif dalam kelas Sosiologi berdasarkan kesimpulan dari berbagai sumber literatur, dan (4) menerapkan penerapan pembelajaran aktif terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran Sosiologi. Temuan dari kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran aktif dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan menjadikan proses belajar lebih relevan serta bermakna. Dengan demikian, metode ini memiliki potensi untuk menjadi pendekatan yang tepat dan efektif dalam menghadapi tantangan pengajaran Sosiologi di zaman pendidikan yang terus berubah.
