Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ mathematical creative thinking skills through the use of Project-Based Learning (PBL)-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) on the topic of translation via a tessellation project. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach supported by qualitative data in the form of documentation of students’ project outcomes. The research subjects consisted of 20 students divided into 10 groups. Data were collected through the assessment of tessellation projects and documentation of students’ work, which were analyzed based on indicators of mathematical creative thinking skills, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results of the study indicate that students were able to generate various ideas in designing tessellation patterns, employ diverse pattern-arrangement strategies, and develop works demonstrating a visual understanding of the concept of translation. Elaboration skills were evident in the development of details, neatness, and refinement of the works, while originality was evident in the variety of motifs and designs produced by each group. Project-based learning provided students with the opportunity to explore ideas, collaborate in groups, and connect mathematical concepts with tangible products. The implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in local curriculum materials through a tessellation project also helps students understand the concept of translation more concretely through activities involving the design and creation of repeating patterns. Overall, this approach facilitates the development of students’ creative mathematical thinking skills regarding the topic of translation and provides a more active, meaningful, and student-centered learning experience.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital leadership, digital transformation, and circular economy practices on the economic performance of weaving SMEs and their contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected from 98 weaving SME owners or managers through questionnaires and analyzed using validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption tests, and linear regression analysis. The findings show that digital leadership has a positive and significant effect on the economic performance of weaving SMEs. Digital transformation also has a positive and significant effect by expanding market access, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening customer relationships. In addition, circular economy practices have a positive and significant effect through resource efficiency, production waste reduction, and the creation of added value from residual materials. These findings indicate that the integration of digital leadership, digital transformation, and circular economy practices is a strategic approach to enhancing the competitiveness of weaving SMEs while supporting the achievement of the SDGs. This study contributes to the development of cultural-based SME studies by positioning digitalization and sustainability as key foundations for strengthening local economic performance.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has influenced children's communication and social interaction patterns, including at the elementary school level. One widely used platform is TikTok, which provides short video content with a combination of visual and verbal communication. This study focuses on analyzing the influence of TikTok content on the communication and self-expression patterns of elementary school students at MIM Ngadirejan. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with students and teachers, observations of student communication behavior in the school environment, and analysis of TikTok video content frequently watched by students. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that consuming TikTok content influences students' use of informal language, adoption of popular terms, and imitation of non-verbal expressions. Furthermore, TikTok use also increases students' creativity and courage in expressing themselves, requiring parental guidance and strengthening digital literacy.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of gender inequality and forms of women's resistance in Haifaa al-Mansour's film Wadjda using a Marxist-Socialist feminist perspective. This study aims to identify the forms of gender inequality represented in the film and analyze the forms of resistance carried out by female characters against the patriarchal structure in Saudi Arabian society. The research method used is a descriptive analytical method with a qualitative approach. Research data were obtained through observation and note-taking techniques of dialogue, scenes, and visual elements in the film related to gender issues and women's resistance. The results of the study indicate that there are four forms of gender inequality in the film, namely restrictions on women's roles, women's lack of freedom in behavior, patriarchal acts, and claims of culture and Islamic norms of Saudi Arabian society that are used to legitimize women's subordination. In addition, this study also found several forms of resistance carried out by female characters, especially Wadjda, such as the desire to own a bicycle, independent economic strategies, negotiations with school authorities, unconventional expressions of identity, and covert resistance shown by Wadjda's mother.
