Abstract

The world experienced a shock, namely the Covid-19 virus which took many victims so that it almost paralyzed all activities in all sectors, from the economy, health, to education. Considering that an incident like this happened, the government decided to instruct the implementation of an online-based system that was simultaneously carried out by all educational institutions in Indonesia. This is no exception at MTsN 4 Banda Aceh which applies Blended Learning. This study aims to analyze blended learning-based science learning during the Covid-19 period at MTsN 4 Banda Aceh. This research is a qualitative research that does not use statistics but collects data, analyzes it, which is then interpreted. The focus in this research is the application of the blended learning model in science learning during the Covid-19 period at MTsN 4 Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews and documentation. The number of respondents in this study were 7 respondents consisting of 1 educator and 6 students in class IX. Based on data analysis, it is known that in the online or online system, students and educators use WhatsApp and Classroom applications as a medium of communication between educators and students. The information obtained during online learning is in the form of learning from YouTube, Google, and textbooks. Offline learning, the media used is in the form of video through infocus. The information obtained is from textbooks, teacher books and books related to learning. Face-to-face learning is carried out while complying with health protocols.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in the ability to understand the concept of fifth grade students of SD Negeri No. 101560 Sihambeng Portibi District. To find out the increase in the ability to understand the concept of fifth grade students at SD Negeri No. 101560 Sihambeng Portibi District on Science Learning on motion material through the experimental method. The subjects were fifth grade students of SD Negeri No. 101560 Sihambeng Portibi District. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The research design used is the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which includes the stages of planning, implementing actions and observations, as well as reflection. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets, student activity scales, and worksheets. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of data analysis in the first cycle of the first meeting, it showed an increase in students' understanding of science concepts. The results of the study were the application of learning with experimental methods, training students to be skilled in paying attention to experiments, conducting experiments or experiments, discussing among friends and expressing opinions between friends and teachers, presenting experimental results and asking questions between students and teachers. The application of experimental learning can improve students' understanding of science concepts in learning. The things that support the increase in student activity are teachers are more master of learning with experimental methods on motion material so that they can explain, direct, and guide students well.

Abstract

This research was conducted because the learning process uses lecture methods that make the learning process monotonous, the delivery of material unilaterally and passively positioning students, and students cannot express their abilities so that the abilities that exist in students are not developing optimally. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning outcomes by applying a probing- prompting learning model with the help of structured worksheets on straight motion material in SMA Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe. This type of research is a pre-experiment conducted in class X MIPA 1 of SMA Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe, with a total of 21 students. The sampling process is done by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using learning outcomes tests. The number of valid questions is 25 questions with an average value of 0.76, the reliability value is 0.87. Data analysis techniques on learning achievement tests used paired sample t-test. The results of the paired sample t- test pretest and posttest test obtained significance = 0,000, which means a significance value of 0,000 0.05 then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The data shows that there is an effect of the Probing-prompting learning model with the help of structured worksheets on student learning outcomes on straight motion material at SMA Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how student activities and the influence of the inquiry training learning model d­­uring the learning process. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a two group pretest-posttest design. The population of all class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan consists of 5 classes. The research sample was taken by 2 classes which were determined by cluster random sampling technique. The experimental class applies the inquiry training learning model and the control class applies the conventional learning model. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets and learning achievement tests in the form of multiple choice with 5 options. Based on the results of observations, the activity of students in the experimental class was 73.57 (active category) and the control class was 45.09 (very active category). This shows that applying the inquiry training learning model can further enhance student learning activities. After the treatment was carried out in each class, the average post-test score was 75.43 in the experimental class and 64.42 in the control class. The results of hypothesis testing (t test) obtained tcount ttable, namely 4.540 1.66 with α = 0.05. This means that Ha is accepted, in other words there is an effect of applying the inquiry training learning model on student learning outcomes in the subject matter of Dynamic Electricity in class X semester II SMA Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan T.P. 2021/2022.

Abstract

The sample of this research is MAS Darul Ikhlas Class XI with 30 students. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The results of the study indicate that between the initial conditions (Pre-Cycle), Cycle I and Cycle II, it can be seen that during the initial conditions the average value of the class was 60.21, while the average value of the first cycle class had increased to 69.79. and in the second cycle it increased sharply to 81.67. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in student’s physics learning achievement after the treatment.

Abstract

The learning approach in the classroom has a significant impact on the success of the educational process, so teachers need to choose the right strategy so that students are more motivated to be involved in learning. In this way, students can participate actively and optimize their critical thinking skills, one of which is through implementing the discovery learning model. However, is the application of this model effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in class XI IPA 1 SMA N 1 Siabu? This research aims to identify an increase in students' critical thinking skills through the application of the discovery learning model. This research uses a classroom action research (PTK) approach with a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative methods are used to measure the impact of applying the discovery learning model on critical thinking skills on the topic of equilibrium dynamics of rigid bodies, while qualitative methods are used to outline the learning implications of this research. The research subjects were 33 students of class XI IPA 1 SMA N 1 Siabu, consisting of 19 female students and 14 male students. The success indicator is determined if 75% of the total students achieve learning completion. The research results showed that student activities in cycle I were in the quite good category, and in cycle II they increased to good category. The percentage of classical completion of students' critical thinking ability test results increased from 18.1% in the pre-cycle to 36.3% in the first cycle of the first meeting, 51.5% in the second meeting, and 78.8% in the second cycle. Thus, the application of the discovery learning model has proven to be effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in class XI IPA 1 SMA N 1 Siabu Mandailing Natal.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the benefits of using e-learning in micro teaching courses. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using survey research procedures through literature study and field study. Literature study was conducted through literature search from books and reputable online sites. Field studies were conducted through observations related to the benefits provided by the use of e-learning for 6th semester students in micro teaching courses. The results showed that there were positive benefits obtained by students from the use of e-learning in micro teaching courses

Abstract

This research investigates the Qur'anic perspective on physics, specifically focusing on measurement. Employing a qualitative library research methodology, this study integrates an analysis of Qur'anic exegesis. Qur'anic interpretations are utilized to understand the meaning of relevant verses, particularly Surah Al-Qamar (54:49) and Al-Furqan (25:2), and their connection to the concept of measurement in physics. As a library-based study, the primary data sources consist of written materials such as books, journals, tafsir (exegesis) texts, and other documented sources. Secondary data includes Hadith, further interpretive works, physics textbooks, and other pertinent literature. Measurement is defined as the process of comparing a measured quantity with another quantity of a predetermined scale and unit. Measurement has varying applications across different educational levels. In elementary and middle schools, measurement is taught as a topic within science and physics. At the university level, measurement serves as a fundamental course used to prove or test concepts, principles, and facts. The actualization of physics in measurement, based on the Qur'an and Sunnah, can foster attitudes of honesty and carefulness in comparing values in every activity. If measurement is conducted without the guidance of the Qur'an and Sunnah, inconsistencies between theory and fact may arise. Individuals who habitually measure according to Qur'anic and Sunnah concepts will find that their activities and their products align with reality, as dishonesty and negligence are strictly avoided.

Abstract

The materials development was conducted due to fact which indicated the limited learning materials in IPA subject in accordance with the students’ needs and scientific thoughts. Besides, the existing learning materials had not been able to foster students’ positive character values. This study was aimed at developing learning tools through Process Skills Approach which was integrated with Characters Building that is valid, practical, effective and worthy to be used in learning process. Thus, it was assumed that those learning tools could improved students' learning outcomes and positive character. This was a developmental research (research and development). The development model used was 4-D model which consisted of defining level (define), planning (design), developing (development) and disseminating (disseminate). In defining level, the curriculum, students and materials were analyzed inplanning level, the learning tools such as syllaby, lesson plan, handout, student’s worksheet, assessment of cognitive, affective, character psychomotor, project, and performance were designed. In developing level, the validity was tested through learning tools validation sheets. The practicality test was lested through lesson plan observation sheet, teachers’ and student’s response questionnaire, and the effectivity was tested through cognitives, affective, characters, psychomotor, project, and performance assesment with student’s responses questionnaire. This research produced IPA learning tools for junior high school on light and optical instrument by using Process Skills approach orientation integrated with character building that was very valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of students' scientific literacy which is one of the educationalproblems in Indonesia with the average achievement of scintific literacy scores being still low. The aim of the research is to determine the scientific literacy abilities in the competency aspect, knowledge aspect, context aspec and attitude aspect of high school students in Batangtoru District. This assesment is based on the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) standars. The method used is a quantitative approach. The subjects of this research consisted of 92 students in Batangtoru sub-district. The instrument used is a written test in the form of a description to determine scientific literacy abilities based on threeaspects (competence, knowledge and context). An average percentage of 27.45% was obtained in the verypoor category. Then, to assess aspects of attitude, the instrument, used is a non-test, namely in the form of a questionnaire. Obtained an average percentage of 73.49% in the good category.
