Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the scientific inquiry learning model on students' science process skills on temperature and heat material. This research is a quasi-experimental research. The population of this study is all students of class XI IPA SMA Private Campus Padangsidimpuan T.P. 2022/2023. The sample consists of two classes obtained using the cluster random sampling technique. The experimental class is taught with the scientific inquiry learning model and the second class is taught with conventional learning. The research instrument is a test of science process skills complemented by observation. The data in this study were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the science process skills of students taught using the scientific inquiry learning model were better than conventional learning.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' physics learning outcomes using the STAD-type cooperative learning model with powerpoint media on subject of elasticity and harmonic motion. The research population is all students of class XI IPA of SMA Swasta Kampus which amounts to 2 classes and the sample consists of two classes, namely control classes and experimental classes taken in random sampling clusters. The author applies the STAD-type cooperative learning model with powerpoint media in experimental classes and direct instruction model in control classes. The research instruments used are tests (multiple choice) and non-tests (observations). The average result of the experimental class postes was 79 and the average result of the control class postes was 72. The results showed that there was an increase in student physics learning outcomes using the STAD-type cooperative learning model with powerpoint media by 16.7% with a gain of 0.693 is a medium category.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in class III MI Panyabungan Model. The type of research used in this research is classroom action research (CAR) using Kurt Lewin's model which consists of four stages, namely the planning stage, the action implementation stage, the observation stage, and the reflection stage. The results showed that in the pre-cycle before the action, only 20% of the students who achieved completeness were. In cycle 1, meeting 1, after applying the contextual teaching and learning model, students who completed the KKM (70) were 5 students or (33.33%) while in cycle 1, meeting 2, students who completed the KKM (70) were 7 students or (46, 66%) . In the second cycle of meeting 1 learning using the contextual teaching and learning model of students who completed the KKM (70) as many as 10 students or (66.66%) while in the second cycle of the second meeting the students who completed the KKM (70) were 13 students with a percentage (86, 66%). So it can be concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes in science learning the material for changing the shape of objects in class III MI Panyabungan Model.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low student physics learning outcomes due to the lack of precise learning methods used, as well as the low student learning scores on the subject of measurement. This research is a class action research (CAR) which aims to obtain data on student learning outcomes in measurement learning. PTK is carried out in 3 cycles and each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Batangtoru. The subjects in this study were 39 class X-1 students and the object of this study was the use of discussion learning methods to improve students' physics learning outcomes. In collecting data, the techniques used were tests, observations, and interviews. The research results obtained were the average results of the first cycle test obtained an average of 62.92 and 48.71% completeness. Then the researcher continued to cycle II and the results showed that the results of the test cycle II averaged 73.71 and completeness was 69.23%, there had been an increase from cycle I, which was an average of 4.59 and completeness had increased by 10.25%. Furthermore, in cycle III the results obtained an average of 81.15 and increased from cycle II of 7.44 and completeness obtained results of 80.05% and increased from cycle II of 12.82%. Observation results, for teacher management in the learning process in cycle I obtained a score of 47.5% in cycle II obtained a percentage of 61.25% and in cycle III obtained a percentage of 83.75%. Results of observations of student activity during the teaching and learning process using the Discussion learning method in cycle I obtained a percentage of 48.25%, in cycle II student activity during the teaching and learning process obtained a percentage of 63.25% and in cycle III student activity during the teaching and learning process obtained a percentage of 85.75%. Based on the resultsof the study it can be concluded that the discussion learning method in Class X-1 of SMA Negeri 1 Batangtoru on the subject of Measurement can improve students' physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The learning process through instant social media through Google fosters a selfish attitude towards students, learning without the process of finding problems, making hypotheses and solving problems. The performance of students becomes weak towards the completion of learning and the eroded cohesiveness of each student. The implementation of cooperative learning model-based performance assessment is one of the efforts to regenerate students' attitudes that are damaged and their learning declines. This research uses PTK (Classroom Action Research) which consists of 2 cycles. Before conducting the research, an initial test was conducted with an attitude class average of 65, knowledge 63.5 and skills 60.5, meaning that it was still below the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria) of 70. Researchers conducted learning using cooperative learning models in cycles I and II. The average value of the first cycle class is attitude 75.6, knowledge 80.4 and skills 78.6, meaning that every aspect of the student's value is above the KKM 70. In the second cycle, the students got better scores than the pre-research and the first cycle, namely the average attitude class score was 85.8, the knowledge value was 85.6 and the skill score was 85.8, meaning the average grade value was above the KKM. The results of this study can improve the declining learning process and grow student performance processes, cooperative attitudes, eliminate selfish attitudes and improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an increase in student learning activities through the use of mind map learning strategies for class IX-4 students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan in the 2021-2022 academic year. The subjects of this study were students of class IX-4 SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan, totaling 30 people. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) with the application of a Mind Map. The parameters observed were limited to: student activities during learning, the results of students' psychomotor abilities in making mind maps and student responses to mind map learning activities obtained after learning activities. The data obtained were analyzed by the percentage of value acquisition with descriptive and qualitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that in the first cycle the percentage of all activities was 51.79%, while in the second cycle the percentage of all activities was 72.07%, an increase of 20.28%. The results of the Mind Map assessment in the first cycle showed a percentage value of 69.3% or sufficient. Meanwhile, in Cycle II, the percentage value of 80.3% or good increased by 11% from Cycle I. Student responses to learning with the mind map learning strategy were very positive. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that learning using mind map learning strategies on ecosystem materials in class IX-4 has increased from cycle I to cycle II.

Abstract

The learning process through careful planning and integrated with thinking power will lead students to become whole attitudes, knowledge, skills and critical thinking. . The application of problem-based learning-based performance assessment is one of the efforts to regenerate the competence integrity of students. students whose attitudes, knowledge and skills are intact will produce good critical thinking skills. This study uses PTK (Classroom Action Research) which consists of 2 cycles. Prior to conducting the research, an initial test was carried out with an average class score of 68 attitudes, 67.5 knowledge, 65 skills and 60 critical thinking, meaning that all aspects were still below the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria) 70. Researchers conducted learning using the PBL model in cycles I and II. The average value of the first cycle class is attitude 75, knowledge 78, skills 76 and critical thinking 68, meaning that each student's value is above KKM 70 except for critical thinking aspects. Cycle II students obtained better scores than pre-research and cycle I, namely the average value of attitude class was 86.8, the value of knowledge was 88.6, the value of skills was 85.8 and critical thinking was 75, meaning that all class scores were above the KKM. The results of this study can improve the learning process that is declining and foster students' performance processes, cooperative attitudes, eliminate selfish attitudes and improve students' critical thinking skills.
