Abstract

Vocal learning within the MGMP Seni Budaya SMA Kota Padang Learning Community faces significant challenges, particularly due to the limited availability of a harmonious musical instrument (keyboard) to accompany vocal exercises. Based on the data, only three keyboard units are available for all students in the vocal class, which is highly inadequate. Additionally, most students and teachers have not yet utilized digital music technology in the learning process. This community service activity aims to address these issues by providing intensive training on using the Musicca digital music platform as a flexible and independent alternative for vocal accompaniment. The methods used include socialization, practical training, technology implementation through Musicca-based vocal projects, as well as mentoring and evaluation. The expected outcomes are a measurable improvement in students' vocal skills through a digital project (targeting 80% of students showing better abilities) and the mastery of relevant digital music technology (targeting 85% of students mastering Musicca independently). The implementation of this digital platform also contributes to supporting the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program and Main Performance Indicators (IKU) through technology-based learning experiences outside of the campus. Keywords:  Vocal Learning, Digital Music Platform, Learning Community, Arts and Culture

Abstract

Technological developments in supporting the implementation of learning are a challenge in an effort to provide quality education services. Teachers must be able to adapt to technological developments through various innovations in learning, both related to strategies, methods and media that are integrated with technology in order to be able to meet the needs of students and answer the challenges of technological developments. However, not all teachers are able to quickly implement digital-based learning to meet these demands. This community service activity aims to strengthen the competence of teachers at SMK L'PINA East Jakarta through training on the preparation of digital teaching materials. The methods carried out in service activities are in the form of training, mentoring, and evaluation given to pre-teachers. The results of the service showed a change in the improvement of teacher competence before and after carrying out community service activities, which was 16%. This pre-training and post-training evaluation showed an increase in teachers' confidence and skills in making digital teaching materials. This activity has proven to be a positive contribution in supporting the role of dedicated lecturers to work together in improving the quality of education, especially improving the ability of teachers to provide digital-based teaching materials. Service activities held in the form of training and mentoring as well as continuous evaluation are able to be a catalyst for digital transformation in the school environment. This activity ultimately also strengthens collaboration between universities and partner schools in encouraging innovation in learning and teaching activities. Abstract

This community service study examines an adaptive art-therapy approach combining doodle drawing and dance to support students’ psychosocial recovery in post-disaster contexts. The program was implemented over two days in two schools in Bireuen—MTSN 2 and MAN 7—with 140 participants divided equally into drawing and dance groups. Methods included guided repetitive doodle exercises (non-representational lines and color exploration), movement-based dance sessions, and adaptive facilitation through motivation and ice-breaking for low-engagement groups. Data were collected through structured observation using three indicators: participation, positive emotional expression, and expressive courage. Results show higher baseline engagement at MTSN 2 (participation 88%; positive affect 85%; expressive courage 82%). At MAN 7, initial engagement was low (52%; 48%; 45%), but improved substantially after adaptive intervention (78%; 75%; 72%). Findings indicate that art-based interventions are effective for psychosocial recovery, while adaptive facilitation significantly enhances outcomes in low-motivation contexts. The study highlights the importance of flexible, context-sensitive strategies in community-based psychosocial programs.

Abstract

Abstract  The primary challenge faced by teachers at UPT SD Negeri 008 Kualu is the limited time and competence in formulating evaluation instruments based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Teachers often struggle to design assessment items that effectively stimulate students' analytical, evaluative, and creative skills, particularly in mathematics. This community service program aims to enhance teachers' skills in developing HOTS-based mathematics evaluation instruments through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The training was conducted by a community service team from the Mathematics Education Study Program at the State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, employing collaborative and interactive methods. Participants received practical guidance on utilizing AI applications, such as ChatGPT and Gemini, to design assessment items. The evaluation results indicated a significant increase in participants' competence. Prior to the training, 70.59% of participants reported an inability to compose high-level cognitive questions. However, after the training, over 80% were capable of independently constructing HOTS questions with AI assistance, and 99% demonstrated a clear understanding of AI integration techniques for evaluation instruments. This program demonstrates that AI can serve as a strategic partner in improving teacher efficiency and the quality of educational evaluation in elementary schools in accordance with SDG 4 goals. Abstract

Sharia Financial Management training is crucial for the community as a primary solution amidst the massive onslaught of destructive digital debt instruments on social media. This training aims to increase public understanding and awareness of the characteristics, modus operandi, and legal and social risks of illegal online loans, and equip the public with practical skills for developing adaptive, independent financial planning and management based on Sharia financial management. Data collection was conducted through three simple steps: testing participants' understanding with questionnaires at the beginning and end of the event, observing participants' abilities while practicing checking official online loans on the Financial Services Authority website, and engaging participants in casual conversations after the training to hear about changes in their money management practices. Finally, the data was analyzed by statistically calculating test score increases and summarizing the results of the casual conversations into comprehensive conclusions. The results of this activity can enrich the literature on community service and Islamic economics, demonstrating that solving the problem of illegal online loans is not only sufficient through legal regulations but also requires reconstructing a Sharia-based financial mindset at the household level.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat brand awareness pada Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kelurahan Tuah Madani, Kota Pekanbaru, yang tercermin dari lemahnya identitas merek, keterbatasan media promosi, dan tampilan visual usaha yang belum optimal. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan brand awareness UMKM melalui pendampingan branding dengan pendekatan service learning. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada periode Oktober hingga November 2025 dengan melibatkan delapan UMKM mitra yang bergerak di sektor kuliner dan minuman. Metode service learning dilaksanakan melalui empat tahapan, yaitu investigasi, persiapan, tindakan, dan refleksi, yang melibatkan kolaborasi antara mahasiswa dan pelaku UMKM. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan branding mampu meningkatkan berbagai aspek visual dan promosi usaha, meliputi pengembangan logo, banner, kemasan, penataan booth, dan konten promosi digital. Beberapa UMKM juga mengalami peningkatan visibilitas usaha dan jumlah kunjungan pelanggan setelah intervensi dilakukan. Salah satu UMKM, misalnya, melaporkan peningkatan jumlah pelanggan harian dari sekitar 65–70 orang menjadi 85–90 orang per hari setelah dilakukan pembaruan desain banner promosi. Selain itu, program ini memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran kontekstual bagi mahasiswa melalui penguatan keterampilan teknis dan interpersonal, sekaligus memperkuat hubungan antara perguruan tinggi dan masyarakat sekitar. Dengan demikian, pendampingan branding melalui pendekatan service learning dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan daya saing dan brand awareness UMKM.Kata kunci: branding, brand awareness, UMKM, service learning, promosi digital

Abstract

There are many aspects that MSMEs in the food industry need to consider, one of which is obtaining halal certification. This certificate, issued by the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), is essential for MSMEs. Moreover, the majority of Indonesia’s population is Muslim and requires assurance that the food products they consume are halal. Halal certification helps boost consumer trust, market share, and business competitiveness. By holding a halal certificate, SME products will be more readily accepted in the market, particularly among Muslim consumers who require halal products to ensure safety when consumed. The objective is to enhance SME operators’ knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of halal certification. The outreach methods include interactive lectures, group discussions, hands-on halal certification registration practice, and individual consultations for SMEs, along with the activity’s target audience. The participants in this community service program are women entrepreneurs in the food and beverage sector in the city of Pekanbaru. The expected outcome of this community service activity is that women entrepreneurs in the food and beverage sector will be able to understand the importance of obtaining halal certification through the Self-Declaration process for food and beverage products, as well as the importance of using ingredients, equipment, and food and beverage processing methods that comply with halal criteria. Abstract

The growth of the global halal industry presents significant opportunities for Indonesia as the country with the world’s largest Muslim population. However, halal Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) still face several challenges, including low halal certification literacy, limited access to Islamic financing, weak business digitalization, and minimal implementation of sustainability principles. This community service program aimed to strengthen halal MSMEs through a collaborative ecosystem approach involving universities, local government, and Islamic financial institutions. The program was conducted in Tuah Madani District, Pekanbaru City, involving 38 MSMEs in the food and beverage sector. The implementation methods included socialization, training, mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation. The results showed an increase in halal certification understanding from 52% to 84%, 55% of MSMEs initiated halal certification processes, 45% accessed Islamic financing, and 66% adopted digital financial recording systems. In addition, the program encouraged the use of environmentally friendly packaging and established a local halal MSME forum. This activity produced a sustainable collaborative empowerment model that has the potential to be replicated in other regions.   Keywords:  Halal Industry, Msmes, Islamic Financing, Digitalization, Green Economy

Abstract

Academic burnout is a serious issue among madrasah students because it affects motivation, emotional well-being, and learning engagement. Guidance and counseling teachers play an important role in helping students manage academic pressure, yet many still need practical and participatory methods to understand students’ emotional conditions. This community service program aimed to strengthen guidance and counseling teachers’ capacity to identify and address students’ academic burnout through photovoice. The program was conducted in a Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Pekanbaru. The participants were two guidance and counseling teachers and ten eighth-grade students with high academic burnout tendencies. The activity used a participatory approach through coordination, teacher training, student identification, photovoice implementation, reflective discussion, and evaluation. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, student reflections, photo analysis, observation, and final evaluation. The results showed that teachers improved their understanding of academic burnout and their skills in facilitating visual-based reflection. Students responded positively because photovoice helped them express academic pressure through photos and simple narratives. The program produced training materials, photovoice guidelines, visual documentation, and counseling strategies that can be continued by the madrasah.
