<![CDATA[Catholic Youth (OMK) is a categorical group formed within the scope of the Church. Young people belong to a productive age and have much potential. They are energetic, creative, dynamic, empathetic, and willing to take risks. These capacities make OMK the essential pillar that is expected to play a vital role in the Church. However, not all OMK groups have such things. Therefore, they need assistance and training. OMK in the Buntudatu Station has many but needs to give a role. It is because they are constrained by their unfamiliarity with participating in the Church. Data obtained from the field through questionnaires were analyzed through frequency tabulation. In analyzing the data, the authors use statistical analysis, namely calculating the frequency distribution to determine the percentage of each dimension measured. From the data processing results, the authors found that OMK at the Buntudatu station lacked a role in church activities due to a lack of training and assistance from competent people. It can be shown by looking at the dimension of involvement at a low frequency of 2.51 or 62.87%. In the aspect of mentoring, it gains 1.70 or 42.62%. This data shows that OMK is less involved in participating as a word reader in the Celebration of The Word of God due to a lack of training and mentoring.]]>

<![CDATA[The presence of the liturgical work team provides great assistance to the liturgical services in the Church. Through the liturgical work team, the faithful are helped to give active participation in doing liturgy. The Covid-19 pandemic was a concrete challenge that the faithful faced to participate actively in the Church. Various liturgical activities were carried out online. Moreover, at Renya Rosari Deri Parish, liturgical activities had been abolished. Furthermore, the use of the new Order of Mass made it difficult for the faithful to be actively participated in the Eucharist. Through a qualitative research, researcher found that in this situation the management function of the liturgical work team needs to be improved. Some of the pastoral steps that can be carried out through the management function are holding liturgical and sacramental catechesis, making the faithful to take part in liturgical services, and initiating liturgical inculturations.]]>

<![CDATA[Having received the sacrament of Baptism, Christ’s faithful have been incorporated into the body of Christ, the Church. Since then, every baptized person has become a member of the Church. Based on this membership, every baptized in full communion with the Catholic Church acquires the right to marry (ius connubii). This right, however, is governed both by divine and ecclesiastical law and civil law in all civil effects brought about by marriage contracts. What are the canonico-juridico elements for a valid marriage in accordance with the norms of the Catholic Church? This work attempts to explore and expose the canonical norms concerning marriage in the Catholic Church and propose them as guidance for every Christ’s faithful to enter into a valid marriage.]]>

<![CDATA[What and how is salvation? The Apostle Paul's First Letter to the Thessalonians gives an explanation of salvation. This paper wants to explain Paul’s explanation of salvation argumentatively. For Paul, salvation is manifesting life in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a gift through the events of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Besides that, Paul linked salvation with waiting for the coming of the Lord. He uses the term parousia, which means presence. The salvation that Paul proclaimed through experiencing God’s presence in life now leads to its fulfillment at the end of time.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACT Marriage is an important encounter in one’s life. In various cultures, marriage contains many signs and symbols that express the appreciation of marital life. Both signs and symbols, as well as marital values, are very interesting “locus theologicus” to study, likewise with Toraja culture. There is a concept of marriage in Toraja culture known as “rampanan kapa’”. In “rampanan kapa’” there is an interesting Toraja marriage value, namely “basse situka’”. “Basse” means pledge, and “situka’” means exchanging. “Basse situka’” is an exchange of pledges. The exchange of the parents of the bride and groom symbolizes the exchange of pledges. The contents of the pledge in basse situka’ are lifelong fidelity and not open to divorce. Based on the theological findings from this local culture through qualitative research using literature review techniques, the author has found a connection between the “basse situka’” concept of marriage in the Toraja tradition and the concept of the sacramentality of marriage in the Catholic Church. Even so, there is still a significant difference, especially regarding the tendency of non-monogamous “rampanan kapa’". In the Catholic understanding of marriage, the Church firmly says that the essential nature of marriage is monogamous and indissolubility.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract Eternal life is always coveted by every believer. Awareness regarding eternal life needs to be given to every believer, especially young people. The story of the youth presented by Jesus in Matthew 19:16-26 displays two meanings regarding eternal life, namely the quality of life and God's grace. For life to gain eternity, the thing that needs to be done is to have the courage to let go of the attachments or attachments that exist in every young person. By letting go of attachments to young people, they can improve their quality of life. Therefore, by the mercy of God they can obtain eternal life. Abstrak Kehidupan kekal selalu didambakan oleh setiap umat beriman. Kesadaran mengenai kehidupan kekal perlu diberikan kepada setiap umat beriman, khususnya orang muda. Kisah orang muda yang ditampilkan oleh Yesus dalam Matius 19:16-26 menampilkan dua makna mengenai kehidupan kekal yaitu kualitas hidup dan kemurahan Allah. Untuk memperoleh kehidupan kekal itu hal yang perlu dilakukan ialah berani melepaskan kelekatan atau keterikatan yang ada pada diri setiap orang muda. Dengan melepaskan kelekatan pada diri orang muda, mereka dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka. Dengan demikian, berkat kemurahan Allah mereka dapat memperoleh kehidupan kekal. ]]>

Education is important for every individual. Individuals need education to be able to develop, both physically/biologically, psychologically, knowledge, etc. Good education will have a good impact on the recipient of education. The world of education is always changing and developing. Indonesia has experienced at least 9 curriculum changes. <![CDATA[Matrimony is a sacrament as well as a covenant that binds a man and a woman in a sacred bond. They are no longer two but one. This article is an attempt to explore and explain the Catholic Church’s understanding, preparation, and concern for the people who will carry out the holy bond of a matrimony. The method used in this study is a qualitative method through reading various reliable sources of literature. <![CDATA[Disasters and human life seem to be two things that are inseparable from one another. In the history of human life, disasters come and gone, starting from a small scale to a large extent. Religious people tend to see the reality of this disaster as part of God’s plan for humans or it can be seen as God’s punishment for humans. Meanwhile, scientists view disasters rationally. Disasters have always been seen as part of a natural cycle that can occur either due to human activities or natural factors. This paper will focus on the theological views on disasters. The author specifically examined the ever-asking question when humans face disasters, namely the existence of God in disasters. Through a qualitative method with literature analysis and reflection enrichment, the writer tries to answer questions about God’s plan in disasters.]]>

<![CDATA[Prisoners need attention and care from others. Pastoral care is a form of attention and service provided to prisoners. This article discusses pastoral care for inmates at Class II B Makale State Detention Center. This study uses qualitative methods by conducting observation and interview techniques. This study aims to determine the benefits of pastoral care for inmates at the Makale Detention Center. Pastoral care can assist prisoners in overcoming the problems they experience and can regenerate trust in God so that they are encouraged to improve and renew themselves to become better human beings.]]>
