Abstract

This paper examined the significance of economics in family financial management, specifically in the context of the digital era. The study employs a literature review approach to explore past research findings and insights related to the subject matter. The past tense is utilized to discuss previous studies and their implications. The literature review reveals that economics plays a crucial role in assisting families in navigating the complexities of financial management in the digital age. The widespread adoption of digital technology has revolutionized various aspects of personal finance, presenting challenges and opportunities for families. Past studies have highlighted the importance of economic concepts, such as budgeting, saving, investment, and consumer behavior, in achieving financial well-being. These concepts remain relevant today, but the digital landscape has influenced their application. Integrating digital tools and platforms has made financial transactions more accessible, streamlined, and convenient. However, it has also brought forth new risks, such as cybersecurity threats and the potential for impulsive spending. Furthermore, the literature emphasizes the need for families to develop digital financial literacy and skills. Understanding online banking, digital payment methods, and personal financial management apps is crucial for effective financial decision-making. Studies suggest that families that embrace digital tools for budgeting and expense tracking experience improved financial management outcomes.

Abstract

In 2021, there will be fewer Sharia life insurance providers than there were in 2020. The goal of this research is to analyze Islamic life insurance firms in Indonesia from 2016-2021 from the perspectives of claims, investment returns, underwriting outcomes, operational expenses, and profit growth. This research employs a quantitative methodology, and the analytical technique used is board information relapse inquiry with the use of Eviews 12. Secondary data were collected from five Sharia life insurance businesses registered with the AASI between 2016 and 2021. The results showed that Sharia life insurers are significantly affected by a number of factors all at once, including claims variability, investment returns, underwriting outcomes, operational expenses, and profit growth. The claim variable has moderately significant negative repercussions, whereas the investment return variable has moderately significant positive repercussions. Then, neither the underwriting outcome variables nor the operating expenses matter much.

Abstract

The aims of this study are to examine and obtain an adaptive business model for the GreenSA Inn hotel business in the form of meetings, intensive, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE). The research method used is a mixed method, namely by using SWOT analysis as a representation of the analytical tool in the quantitative approach, followed by observation and in-depth interviews as a representation of the qualitative approach. There were 7 selected informants who held positions at the level of directors or coordinators and technical implementers. The results obtained by the strategy model are aggressive strategies, namely with a business expansion strategy that focuses on efforts to 'pick up the ball' utilizing all advantages possessed. First, the uniqueness of this study is that it identifies one business area and business unit, namely MICE, so the review is quite detailed but cannot be generalized. Recommendations that are consistent with the study results are promoting marketing channels through social media, and collaborating with religious institutions at the Sidoarjo and Surabaya district levels to offer external meeting activities at GreenSA. Then to be able to obtain a more effective adaptive strategy, a ghost shopper can be carried out at hotels in other districts or other campuses to get information and references for the adaptive strategies they are working on.
