The problems posed in this study are, what factors are the background of Ngakken Anak (adoption), how is the procedure for ngakken Anak (adoption), and what is the position of the child who is angken (adoption). The method used, the main method is descriptive carried out by the questionnaire method, interview or interview of informants, informants are people selected as many as seven (7) informants. Abstract

The intention of this research is to discover the implementation of Cake in teaching of pronunciation and to uncover the students’ perception toward the use of Cake in teaching of pronunciation. This research applied qualitative descriptive method. The study was conducted at a private vocational school in Cianjur West Java Indonesia in the academic year 2021. The participants consisted of second grade of banking major at the ages between 15-17. Two of them were male and ten were female. This research collected the data through observation and a forced-choice questionnaire format where the participants were asked to choose one of the available selections (Yes or No). As the data were collected, the writer analyzed them. There were six steps in analyzing the observation as well as the questionnaire: (1) preparing the data to be analyzed, (2) reading or viewing all data, (3) coding the data, (4) generalizing the code, (5) creating tables based on the data code, and (6) interpret the data code. Over the observation the writers found a new formula on implementing Cake in helping students’ pronunciation accuracy. This formula then is called MRCP with drilling as the teaching strategy. The results of questionnaire show that Cake was new for the student. It has many features that support students in learning pronunciation. The students were also happy learning using Cake and they felt more confident to speak English after learning using Cake.

Abstract

Based on the researcher's grand tour of Tsanawiyah Madrasahs in the province of Jambi, it was found that firstly, the supervisor's program does not align with the madrasah's needs. Secondly, supervision is only fulfilling obligations without going beyond. Thirdly, the organization of time, work tools, and facilities are not yet optimal. This qualitative research employs a qualitative case approach. The subjects of this study are supervisors of Madrasahs Tsanawiyah, representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs Regional Office, and the Head of the Madrasah. Data collection involves observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis utilizes the Miles and Huberman model, comprising data reduction, data display, and data conclusion. The research results indicate that the performance of Tsanawiyah Madrasah supervisors in the supervision process in the province of Jambi includes: a) Developing a supervision work program for each semester and each year for the madrasahs under their guidance, b) Providing guidance and assistance to the madrasah head regarding managerial processes, and c) Conducting assessments and monitoring the implementation of education in the supervised Madrasah Tsanawiyah, offering advice and considerations to the madrasah on addressing educational implementation-related issues.

Abstract

The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching and learning of Language has been extensive. It has been effective in increasing performance and retention rate. Research has shown that people remember 20% of what they see, 40% of what they see and hear, but about 75% of what they see, hear and do simultaneously (Lindstrom 73). ICT is now permeating the educational system as a tool for effective teaching and learning. With multimedia, the communication of information can be done in a more effective manner and it can be effective instructional medium for delivering information. Multimedia access to knowledge of the possibilities of information and communication technology has tremendous impact on learning. The instructional media have emerged in a variety of resources and equipment, which can be used to supplement or complement the teacher’s efforts in ensuring effective learning by students. It is recognized that conventional media technologies can no longer meet the need of our teaching and learning process; as a result, they are being replaced by multimedia technology.

Abstract

This study explores the transformative potential of integrating digital resources and platforms to enhance the teaching of Arabic language and literature in Islamic education. Recognizing the evolving landscape of education and the growing influence of technology, this study investigates the theoretical framework supporting the use of digital tools in pedagogy within Islamic settings. A comprehensive review of literature reveals the current state of technology integration in Arabic language and literature education and identifies gaps in research that necessitate further exploration.            The paper provides an in-depth examination of available digital resources and platforms suitable for language and literature instruction, categorizing them based on their applicability. Practical implementation strategies are proposed, considering the cultural and religious nuances inherent in Islamic education. The paper concludes with recommendations for future research and underscores the importance of continued exploration of emerging technologies to advance Arabic language and literature education in Islamic contexts.

Abstract

Anemia is one of the major nutritional issues in Indonesia and a prevalent problem among pregnant women worldwide, with a relatively high incidence rate. Pregnant women are particularly susceptible to anemia because the increased nutritional requirements during pregnancy are crucial for both maternal health and fetal growth. Pregnancy-related anemia is defined as a hemoglobin (Hb) level less than 11 (g/dL) in the blood of pregnant women. This study aims to analyze the relationship between anemia and the occurrence of Low Birth Weight (LBW). The research was conducted in the VK Room of Sugio Primary Health Care, Lamongan Regency, over a period of 2 months in August-September 2023. The research method used was a Retrospective Observational Study with a Cross-Sectional design. Based on the Chi-Square statistical test results, the p-value was 0.025 (p-value < 0.05). In conclusion, this study found a significant association between anemia during pregnancy and the incidence of LBW.

Abstract

Chromolaena odorata popularly called devil weed (in dependent leaves) is a subtropical flowering shrub in the family of Asteraceae that has been used for the herbal treatment of wounds, burns, skin infections, and relieving painful stomach ulcers. There are some scientific literature reporting its antimicrobial, wound healing, hemostatic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, platelet protective, anticancer, hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, insecticidal, and anti-anemic properties. This study investigated the phytochemical components and the anti-ulcer (gastric pump inhibition) properties of the ethanolic extract of the plant using GC-MS and in silico molecular docking. The GC-MS results from this study detected thirty (30) retentions with fifty-one (51) library/ID-suggested compounds. The docking of the detected compounds against gastric proton pump for the treatment of ulcer revealed that among the ligands that were docked with the enzyme (H+/K+-ATPase); (3-(Azepan-1-yl)-1,2-benzothiazole 1,1-dioxide) had better binding energy value (high binding energy value) (-8.4kcal/mol) compared to the standard anti-ulcer drug (omeprazole; −8.0 kcal/mol). The strong bonding of 3-(Azepan-1-yl)-1,2 benzothiazole 1,1-dioxide to the receptor suggests that the compound may possess better gastric proton pump inhibitory potential than omeprazole. This result may also validate the traditional use of the plant for gastric ulcer-relieving activity.
