Abstract

The Family Hope Program (PKH) is a cornerstone of Indonesia’s poverty reduction strategy, yet its success at the local level often depends on informal leadership. This study examines the role of grassroots women’s leadership in PKH implementation in Lumar District, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. While existing literature often views women solely as program beneficiaries, this research addresses a gap by analyzing women as active informal leaders who mediate policy and community participation in border regions. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 12 participants (including PKH coordinators and group leaders), participant observation in Family Capacity Building Meetings (P2K2), and document analysis. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings reveal that grassroots women perform four critical roles: socialization, mentoring, group organization, and advocacy. Their leadership is a primary driver for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). The study concludes that strengthening the informal leadership capacity of women is essential for the sustainability of social protection programs in remote areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between Information and Communication Technology (ICT) capability and work culture on the performance of public senior high school teachers in Dharmasraya Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational survey design. The research population consisted of 466 teachers, with a sample of 81 selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had met validity and reliability requirements. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests of analysis, product-moment correlation, and multiple correlation analysis. The results showed that: (1) there was a positive and significant relationship between ICT capability and teacher performance, with a correlation coefficient of 0.744; (2) there was a positive and significant relationship between work culture and teacher performance, with a correlation coefficient of 0.812; and (3) there was a positive and significant simultaneous relationship between ICT capability and work culture on teacher performance, with an R value of 0.760 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.577. These findings indicate that work culture has a stronger relationship with improving teacher performance than ICT capability. The implications of this study emphasize that improving teacher performance is not sufficient through technology training alone; it also requires strengthening the work culture, including discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and professional commitment. School principals need to build a collaborative work environment and integrate ICT utilization into teachers’ daily work habits. In addition, the education office needs to design teacher-quality improvement programs that balance the development of digital competence with work-culture enhancement. It can be concluded that the synergy between ICT capability and work culture is an important factor in achieving optimal and sustainable teacher performance in the digital era.

Abstract

Amidst the demands of Education 5.0, higher education institutions are faced with the challenge of data-based academic resource management. This study discusses the influence of expertise mapping on the career development of lecturers at Islamic universities in Indonesia, focusing on the case study at the Mandailing Natal State Islamic College. Using an explanatory sequential mix method design. Quantitative data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) v4.1.1.2, while qualitative data were analyzed using NVivo. The findings reveal that expertise mapping significantly influences lecturer career development, with a path coefficient β = 0.596, p < 0.001, R² = 0.355, indicating a moderate explanatory effect. In addition, expertise mapping contributes positively to teaching quality improvement and lecturer productivity in scientific publications. These findings highlight expertise mapping as a strategic data-driven academic resource management model that supports lecturer career advancement, strengthens institutional policy development, and aligns higher education governance with the objectives of Education 5.0 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
