Abstract

Over the past three decades, the coffee culture has undergone a remarkable evolution. Initially a solitary indulgence, coffee consumption has transitioned into a communal experience, epitomized by gatherings with friends at trendy coffee establishments. The advent of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2016 catalyzed a new phase for coffee exporters like Indonesia, necessitating an assessment of their competitive edge within the ASEAN 5 market. This assessment involves a thorough analysis, employing tools such as Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Export Product Dynamics (EPD), to gauge the dynamism and performance of Indonesian coffee products vis-à-vis their regional counterparts, Findings reveal a competitive landscape, with both Indonesian and Vietnamese coffee exports holding their ground in the ASEAN 5 market. Indonesia maintains an average RCA value of 10.16, while Vietnam boasts a higher total of 53.44, indicating a rising competitiveness in Vietnamese coffee exports compared to Indonesia's. Moreover, EPD analysis places both countries' coffee trades in the Rising Star quadrant, denoting a rapid and dynamic export performance, particularly driven by Indonesia's expanding share in ASEAN 5 markets, Given the burgeoning demand for coffee within this market, Indonesian authorities are keen on optimizing their export potential. This necessitates the formulation and implementation of strategic policies aimed at enhancing coffee production efficiency, thereby ensuring Indonesia's sustained success in penetrating and capitalizing on the ASEAN 5 coffee market.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the opportunities and risks of free trade between Indonesia and Malaysia in the coffee plantation sector and identify strategies to optimize the potential of this market in the future. This analysis focuses on coffee products which are an important commodity for ASEAN member countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia. Indonesia is the largest coffee producing country in the world, and exporting coffee to Malaysia is fraught with various problems, including problems with the quality of the coffee being exported, complicated regulations and bureaucracy, as well as competition with other producing countries such as Vietnam which faces intense competition. Challenge. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to strengthen supervision of the quality of exported coffee, improve regulations and bureaucracy, and strengthen the promotion of Indonesian coffee on the international market. What is also important is cooperation with other coffee producing countries, training to improve coffee quality, and processing innovation without eliminating traditional elements. Through this analysis, it is hoped that effective strategies can be found to make maximum use of existing opportunities and overcome challenges arising from regional competition. This research will also provide an important contribution to policy makers and industry players in formulating appropriate policies and strategies to support the growth of Indonesian coffee exports in the ASEAN market, especially Malaysia.

Abstract

Employee work productivity is one of the key factors in the operational success of a company. Job satisfaction is the level of positive feelings that employees have towards their work. Employee commitment refers to how much employees feel tied to the company and their desire to continue working at the company. This research aims to examine the influence of job satisfaction and commitment on employee work productivity at PT. Wings Karawang. The research method used is a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data collected through questionnaires distributed to 35 employees of PT. Wings Karawang. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression. So the results of this research show that job satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on employee work productivity. Because employees who have high job satisfaction tend to show better productivity. Commitment also has a positive and significant influence on employee work productivity. Employees who are committed to work tend to have optimal work productivity. The conclusion of this research is that increasing job satisfaction and commitment can increase employee work productivity at PT. Wings Karawang.

Abstract

This research examines workforce management at PT. Garam Jaya, a salt producing company in Karawang which still uses traditional production methods. This study aims to understand the challenges faced in workforce management and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and productivity. The method used is descriptive with an observational approach, where participants directly observe the production process and labor interactions in the factory. The results of the visit showed low motivation of the workforce due to the lack of modern facilities and a monotonous work environment. To overcome this problem, improving work welfare and developing intensive training programs is recommended. In conclusion, equipment modernization, improving employee welfare, and ongoing training programs are very necessary to improve performance and production efficiency at PT. Garam Jaya.

Abstract

This research explains the importance of teacher training at Halima Qur'ani Daycare, a learning facility for children that provides full-day and half-day teaching and learning facilities. This study aims to understand the influences that have an impact on the learning system in daycare with teacher training which will increase productivity in the teaching and learning system. The method used is descriptive with an observative approach, students directly observe teaching and learning activities carried out at Halima Qur'ani Daycare and participate in training conducted by teachers. The mission of this educational institution is to provide integrated education with religion, to provide education by honing intellectual, emotional, spiritual and social intelligence, to provide education on a full day or half day system, to become an Islamic, characterful and trustworthy educational institution. The results of this visit show that there are service institutions that educate children from an early age.

Abstract

Finding out how rewards and penalties impact worker performance in a grocery shop was the aim of this study. The performance of the employees is the dependent variable in this research (Y). While punishment (X2) and reward (X1) are the independent variables. The 68 workers of grocery stores made up the population used in this study. Descriptive and quantitative research methodologies are employed. The findings demonstrated that, when it came to staff performance at a grocery shop, rewards had a substantial positive impact and penalties had a big negative one.

Abstract

Free trade has become a major focus in the international economy, with a significant impact on the agricultural sector, including palm oil. This analysis aims to evaluate the opportunities and threats faced by the palm oil sector in the context of free trade. In this analysis, opportunities such as wider market access and increasing global demand for palm oil are taken into account. However, these opportunities can also be offset by threats such as increased competition from other producers, changes in environmental regulations, and pressure from sustainability advocacy groups. Indonesia and Malaysia have good relations in bilateral palm oil commodity relations. In creating this scientific work the author used demand theory, bilateral economic cooperation, and interdependence which are useful for analyzing the studies in it, and in this type of research writing used descriptive-quantitative to process existing data. The productivity of palm oil export and import activities, one of which dominates palm oil as the top export commodity. Through a comprehensive approach to these opportunities and threats, stakeholders in the palm oil sector can take strategic steps to strengthen their position in the global market, while also paying attention to their impact on environmental and social sustainability.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of work experience and training on employee performance with work competency as an intervening variable using primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires to 55 employees as respondents, namely employees of the Kambang Health Center, Pesisir Selatan Regency. In this research, Structrual Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis tools were used using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the research show that there is a positive and significant influence of work experience on work competency, there is a positive and not significant influence of training on job competency, there is a positive and not significant influence of work experience on employee performance, there is a positive and significant influence of training on employee performance, there is an influence There is a positive and significant influence of Job Competency on Employee Performance. There is a positive and significant influence of Work Experience on Employee Performance through Job Competency. There is a positive and insignificant influence of Training on Employee Performance through Job Competency.

Abstract

The results of the article show that the role of leadership is very influential on employee discipline in an effort to increase the productivity of MSMEs built on the shoe cleaning service project. In building employee discipline, the boss or leader must always be firm and take part in making existing decisions. If the boss is not firm and does not act fairly towards his employees, the employees will experience a decline in performance so that discipline is not maintained within the business premises. In an effort to discipline the employees, the boss takes aspects of the work environment and employees such as not being late so they arrive on time, motivating the workers so that productivity increases so that the business can develop, and ordering the workers to comply with the regulations that have been made at the place of business. The purpose of the article This is to increase insight into how to wash shoes and discipline employees at the "SHOES CLEARANCE PROJECT" shoe washing service as a means of motivating students to be disciplined. Using a descriptive qualitative methodology, it shows that the boss's efforts towards his employees in disciplining their employees are actually effective

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the impact of work rotation and work motivation on employee performance at PT. Kemuning Nusa Indah. The method applied is a descriptive method, using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The research results show that well-planned job rotation can increase employee adaptability, develop new skills, and reduce work burnout. In addition, high work motivation has a positive impact on employee performance, where motivated employees show greater commitment and contribution to the company. However, work rotation that is too frequent can cause discomfort and reduce employee motivation. In conclusion, job rotation and work motivation have a significant impact on employee performance, but need proper management to avoid negative impacts.
