Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of brand image and social media on purchasing decisions at Lazatto in Serang City. A quantitative approach with a descriptive and correlational design was employed using a survey method involving 100 respondents selected through accidental sampling. The data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression techniques. The results indicate that brand image and social media partially have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Social media demonstrates a more dominant influence compared to brand image. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect purchasing decisions with a contribution of 22.8%, while the remaining variance is explained by other factors outside the research model. These findings suggest that strengthening brand image and optimizing digital marketing strategies through social media are essential factors in enhancing consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership style and interpersonal communication on employee performance, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at the Office of the Regent of West Pasaman. The background of this study is based on the suboptimal performance of public servants, low levels of job satisfaction, and communication gaps between leaders and subordinates that affect organizational effectiveness. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, where primary data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires to employees of the Office of the Regent of West Pasaman. The sampling technique was determined using an appropriate method based on the characteristics of the research population. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach to examine both direct and indirect effects among variables. The results indicate that leadership style and interpersonal communication have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Leadership style and interpersonal communication were found to influence employee performance both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. Thus, job satisfaction is able to mediate the relationship between leadership style and interpersonal communication and employee performance. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to the development of human resource management science, particularly regarding the role of job satisfaction as an intervening variable, and to provide practical recommendations for the Office of the Regent of West Pasaman in improving employee performance through the implementation of appropriate leadership styles and the strengthening of effective interpersonal communication

Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that: (1) Spiritual intelligence has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment; (2) Emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment; (3) Spiritual intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; (4) Emotional intelligence has no significant effect on employee performance directly; (5) Organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; (6) Organizational commitment mediates the effect of spiritual intelligence on employee performance; and (7) Organizational commitment mediates the effect of emotional intelligence on employee performance. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that brand image has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction (t = 7.928; sig. = 0.000), as does relationship marketing (t = 9.634; sig. = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence customer satisfaction (F = 130.342; sig. = 0.000). The R Square value of 0.750 shows that 75% of the variation in customer satisfaction is explained by these two variables

Abstract

This article examines how Indonesia can strengthen its halal value chain by aligning Islamic financing, halal certification, and export market access. Using a qualitative scoping review of regulations, policy documents, and peer-reviewed studies, the paper synthesizes key bottlenecks and enabling factors across upstream–downstream activities, including compliance assurance, financing readiness, logistics integrity, and international recognition. The findings indicate that (1) mandatory halal certification creates stronger consumer trust but raises compliance and capacity challenges for MSMEs; (2) Islamic financial institutions can bridge working-capital and investment gaps when products are designed to fit halal industry characteristics and certification stages; and (3) export access depends on harmonization efforts, mutual recognition mechanisms, and trade facilitation that reduce non-tariff frictions. Policy implications include streamlining certification assistance, building halal traceability and logistics standards, and developing export-ready financing schemes to accelerate Indonesia’s role in the global halal ecosystem
