Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work competence and the work environment on personnel performance, with work motivation as an intervening variable at the West Sumatra Regional Police's Human Resources Development Agency (Yanma Polda Sumbar). This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to personnel as respondents. The sampling technique used proportional sampling, while data analysis used path analysis based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that work competence and the work environment have a positive and significant influence on work motivation. In relation to performance, work competence, the work environment, and work motivation were proven to have a positive and significant influence on personnel performance. Intervening variable analysis showed that work motivation significantly mediated the influence of the work environment on personnel performance. However, work motivation was found to be unable to significantly mediate the influence of work competence on personnel performance. These findings have implications for the management of the West Sumatra Regional Police's Human Resources Development Agency (Yanma Polda Sumbar) to prioritize increasing motivation through improving the work environment to achieve higher performance standards, while continuously improving personnel competence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership style and work discipline on employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable at PT. Sutan Kasim Padang. Employee performance is an important factor in supporting the achievement of company objectives, especially in the distribution and automotive workshop sector which requires high effectiveness and productivity. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to all employees of PT. Sutan Kasim Padang. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results indicate that leadership style and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on work motivation. In addition, leadership style, work discipline, and work motivation also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation is proven to mediate the relationship between leadership style and work discipline on employee performance. This study is expected to provide managerial implications in improving employee performance through effective leadership and work discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Instagram Social Media Marketing and Brand Image on the Purchase Decision of Nivea Men Face Wash among Generation Z in Bandung City. The study is motivated by the increasing competition in the men’s skincare industry and the strategic role of Instagram as a primary marketing platform for Generation Z consumers. A quantitative approach with descriptive and verificative methods was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 male Generation Z respondents in Bandung City using a non-probability sampling technique. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The descriptive findings indicate that Social Media Marketing is perceived as relatively weak, while Brand Image and Purchase Decision are categorized as good. The verificative results reveal that both Social Media Marketing and Brand Image have a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decision, with Brand Image demonstrating a more dominant influence. These findings suggest that strengthening brand image and enhancing interactive engagement on Instagram are essential strategies to increase purchase decisions among Generation Z consumers.

Abstract

Abstract Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut pelaku UMKM untuk beradaptasi agar tetap bertahan dan bersaing di tengah perubahan pola konsumsi dan persaingan usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan, pengalaman usaha, dan omzet usaha terhadap keberhasilan transformasi digital UMKM di kawasan Pantai Labuhan Jukung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data primer dari kuesioner kepada 90 pelaku UMKM yang diambil menggunakan metode sensus. Analisis data dilakukan dengan regresi logistik biner untuk menguji pengaruh variabel independen, serta dilengkapi analisis marginal effect untuk melihat perubahan probabilitas secara lebih substantif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara bersama-sama pendidikan, pengalaman usaha, dan omzet usaha berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keberhasilan transformasi digital UMKM. Secara parsial, pengalaman usaha berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan, sedangkan omzet usaha berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Pendidikan berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan. Analisis marginal effect menegaskan bahwa omzet usaha merupakan faktor paling dominan dalam meningkatkan probabilitas UMKM melakukan transformasi digital. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas ekonomi memiliki peran lebih besar dibandingkan faktor sosial dalam mendorong transformasi digital UMKM di kawasan penelitian.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of career development and compensation on employee performance, with work discipline as an intervening variable at PT. Kemilau Permata Sawit. Data collection methods included a survey and questionnaire distribution, with a sample of 74 respondents. The analysis method used was structural equation modeling using SmartPLS. The results showed a significant effect of career development on work discipline. There was a significant effect of compensation on work discipline. There was a significant effect of career development on employee performance. There was an insignificant effect of compensation on employee performance. There was a significant effect of work discipline on employee performance. Work discipline mediated the effect of career development on employee performance. Work discipline mediated the effect of compensation on employee performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of educational content, influencer marketing, and digital promotional programs on purchasing decisions for scientific products through brand trust as a mediating variable. This research is quantitative. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and observations, with a sample of 100 respondents. The data analysis technique used in this study was the SmartPLS 3 program, conducting validity tests, reliability tests, and hypothesis tests.. The results of the study indicate that 1. Educational content has a significant effect on brand trust. 2. Influencer marketing has a significant effect on brand trust. 3. Digital promotion programs have an insignificant effect on brand trust. 4. Educational content has a significant effect on purchasing decisions. 5. Influencer marketing has an insignificant effect on purchasing decisions. 6. Digital promotion programs have an insignificant effect on purchasing decisions. 7. Brand trust has a significant effect on purchasing decisions. 8. Brand trust mediates educational content on purchasing decisions. 9. Brand trust mediates influencer marketing on purchasing decisions. 10. Brand trust does not mediate digital promotion programs on purchasing decisions. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that Skinific products can further improve purchasing decisions by enhancing educational content, influencer marketing, digital promotion programs, and brand trust through each indicator.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Leverage and Capital Expenditure on firm value with Return on assets (ROA) as an Intervening Variable in Consumer Non-Cyclicals Food and Beverage subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 28 companies from a population of 98 firms over a five-year observation period. The data analysis methods employed were panel data regression and path analysis, processed using EViews 13 software. The results indicate that leverage has an effect on Return on Assets (ROA), while Capital Expenditure does not affect Return on Assets (ROA). Leverage is proven to have an effect on Firm Value, whereas Capital Expenditure does not affect Firm Value, and Return on Assets (ROA) does not affect Firm Value. Furthermore, the results of the path analysis show that Leverage does not affect Firm Value through Return on Assets (ROA) as an Intervening Variable, and Capital Expenditure also does not affect Firm Value through Return on Assets (ROA) as an Intervening Variable

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Structure and Profitability on Firm Value, with Dividend Policy as an intervening variable in Basic Materials sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 23 companies from a population of 109 firms over five years of observation. The data analysis methods employed were panel data regression and path analysis, using EViews 13 software.The results indicate that Capital Structure has an effect on Dividend Policy, while Profitability does not affect Dividend Policy. Furthermore, Capital Structure affects Firm Value, whereas Profitability does not affect Firm Value, and Dividend Policy does not affect Firm Value. In addition, the path analysis results show that Capital Structure does not affect Firm Value through Dividend Policy as an intervening variable, and P Brofitability also does not affect Firm Value through Dividend Policy as an intervening variable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance with length of service as a moderating variable at PT Ampalu Indah Lestari. The data collection method was through surveys and distributing questionnaires, with a sample of 55 respondents. The analysis method used was structural equation modeling using smartpls. The results of this study showed a significant influence of motivation on employee performance. There was a significant influence of job satisfaction on employee performance. There was an insignificant influence of motivation on employee performance in moderation of length of service. There was an insignificant influence of job satisfaction on employee performance in moderation of length of service.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of job training, career development, and job satisfaction on employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable at the Livestock and Animal Health Service Office of West Sumatra Province. This study employed a quantitative research method using a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with SmartPLS 3.0 as the analysis tool. The population and sample of this study consisted of all employees of the Livestock and Animal Health Service Office of West Sumatra Province. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed to test the proposed research hypotheses. The results of the study indicated that job training, career development, and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Furthermore, job training, career development, job satisfaction, and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. These findings indicate that work motivation plays an important role in improving employee performance. In addition, work motivation is proven to mediate the effect of job training on employee performance, as well as mediate the effect of career development and job satisfaction on employee performance at the Livestock and Animal Health Service Office of West Sumatra Province.
