Abstract

The role of teachers in the context of developing project-based learning models (PjBL) in lower grades has a significant impact on increasing students' interest in learning at school. This literature study analyzes teachers' contributions in designing and implementing PjBL as a strategy to enrich students' learning experiences. The teacher as the main facilitator in PjBL plays a role in determining the key aspects of the learning model. In the literature, it is found that teacher expertise in identifying projects that suit the curriculum and students' level of understanding is a crucial first step. The teacher's ability to integrate PjBL with lesson material opens up opportunities to increase understanding of concepts holistically. The importance of the teacher's role is also reflected in his ability to guide students during the project learning process. In the literature, emphasis on the teacher's role as a guide and motivator for students to actively participate, collaborate and solve problems is identified as the main element that influences the effectiveness of PjBL. This research examines various views and findings regarding the role of teachers in implementing PjBL in lower grades. The results provide insight into how teachers can be the main catalyst for increasing students' interest in learning through this innovative learning model. It is hoped that a deeper understanding of the role of teachers in PjBL can provide guidance for the development of more effective education and teacher training policies.

Learning at elementary school level should be carried out interactively, fun, effectively, and able to motivate students to participate actively, independently, and provide sufficient space for the development of talents, interests and creativity in learning activities. This goes straight with the basic concept of differentiated learning, namely that differentiated learning activities are an attempt to adjust the position of the learning process in the classroom to facilitate the different learning needs of each individual student. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting a literature review regarding the implementation of differentiated learning at the elementary school level. Based on the results of the views and analysis of the literature review, it can be concluded that (1) the differentiated approach can be combined with several learning models that support differentiated learning (2) the implementation of differentiated learning is able to increase and improve student learning outcomes; (3) the differentiated approach can and is well used at the elementary school level because it is able to accommodate all students' learning needs by taking into account students' interests, talents, profiles, abilities, learning styles.

The aim of this research is to evaluate the impact of implementing the independent curriculum on primary school students' critical thinking skills. As educational institutions, schools have a responsibility to help students develop critical thinking skills. This research uses the PTK type of research (Classroom Action Research). The research method involves collecting qualitative data through observation and interviews. The subjects in this research were class IV students at SD Muhammdiyah Sukaharjo Barat. Research shows that students' critical thinking abilities increased significantly after implementing the independent curriculum from previously getting 75% to 85% in the good category. Then followed by cycle II which has a higher percentage than cycle I, namely with a percentage of 85% higher and has a very good category.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is still a problem for many students. This can be seen from the average mathematics scores being lower than other subjects. Of the 23 first grade students at SDN Haurpugur 02 Elementary School, only 8 students or 34.78% have completed mathematics learning, while 15 students or 65.21% have not, especially on addition and subtraction materials. To teach this material, a suitable learning medium is concrete objects so that students get real and concrete learning experiences according to their developmental stage. This classroom action research was conducted by applying concrete object media in learning mathematics on addition and subtraction materials. The results showed an increase in student activity and learning outcomes. In Cycle I using concrete object media, 20 students (62.5%) have completed. In Cycle II the number of students completed increased to 28 students (90.63%). Thus it can be concluded that the use of concrete object media can improve student learning outcomes in addition and subtraction materials.

Abstract

Students' creativity in SBdP learning at the basic education level aims to develop awareness of art or beauty because teachers have great difficulty testing students' creativity. Infrastructure is still minimal, so it greatly influences the process of teaching and learning activities. This can be seen from the lack of interest of students to be creative when teachers carry out teaching and learning activities in class. The aim of this research is to analyze teachers' efforts to increase students' creativity in SBDP learning in elementary schools. This research is research using a qualitative approach. The results of the research show that there are several obstacles for teachers in increasing students' creative thinking, namely teachers not being able to utilize technology well, lack of infrastructure, teachers' abilities are still low, and teachers are less creative in making teaching materials. The efforts made by teachers in dealing with problems are respecting the ideas expressed by students, teachers can stimulate students' creativity during learning, and teachers must respect questions or answers from students. The implication of this research is that it is hoped that teachers can use SBDP learning to see students' creative abilities level.
