Abstract

The curriculum is the foundation for measuring the success of learning. The process of changing the curriculum follows the development of the times and the needs of society. Leaders as leading sectors as determinants of curriculum change and are supported by educators and education staff. This study uses a qualitative approach and a type of field research. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses triangulation. The results showed that there were four successful strategies for changing the Baitul Arqom Islamic boarding school curriculum, namely: 1) preparing effective leadership to encourage change; 2) creating a curriculum capable of changing high priorities; 3) planning resources for effective curriculum changes; and 4) ensure all students participate.

Abstract

Strategy means careful planning of activities to achieve specific goals. The term strategy comes from the Greek strategy which is defined as "the art of the general" or the art of a commander which is usually used in warfare. This researcher uses a type of field research, where researchers directly research at the research site. By going directly to the research location, it is hoped that researchers can interact directly with related parties so that in conclusion, the results of this study are the principal's strategy for overcoming the shortage of educators at Ma'arif Sangatta North School. It has several steps including combining classes or multigrade, opening new job vacancies, carry out online learning. The inhibiting factors for school principals in overcoming this problem are inadequate school financing standards, incomplete facilities and infrastructure, and lack of teacher enthusiasm in the teaching and learning process at school. While the supporting factors are: many unemployed graduates, and optimizing the use of educational media and facilities.

Abstract

This article focuses on implementing management functions in the Library of SMK Negeri 2 North Sangatta. This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of management functions in library management at SMK Negeri 2 North Sangatta, (2) describe the constraints in implementing management functions at the library at SMK Negeri 2 North Sangatta. Based on the results of observations and direct interviews with librarians, it can be summarized as follows. First, the application management function, especially in processing library materials in the library at SMK Negeri 2 North Sangatta has not run optimally, starting from inventorying, classifying, and processing library materials. Second, there were obstacles faced by human resources (HR) or librarian personnel who are experts in the library, as well as limited books on majors such as the Department of heavy equipment engineering which were not yet available.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of human resource management in BIAS Yogyakarta Junior and Senior High School, especially in the realm of boarding schools or Islamic boarding schools. This type of research is a field study using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the study can be seen that in the implementation of human resources carried out, HR planning is carried out by the HR management bureau by analyzing report data from school principals and cottages. Second, HR recruitment is carried out in steps including determining vacant positions, determining position requirements, and determining recruitment sources and methods. Third, the selection process for job applicants is carried out by the stages of receiving a cover letter and organizing selection tests (administration and interview). Fourth, the placement of human resources in BIAS boarding school junior and senior high schools by the intended work, knowledge, abilities, skills, and expertise possessed and mastered. Fifth, training and human resource development. Sixth, compensation and provision of incentives.

Abstract

Schools located in urban areas appear to be advanced and at the forefront because they are supported by development facilities and the existence of advanced government and communities, so it is easy to encourage community participation and their existence to be advanced and superior, but it is very different from schools in rural areas that require the figure and strategy of the principal as a leader, relationship community to build community participation to support the existence of schools. The purpose of this study is to describe the principal's strategy to build community participation as an effort to school existence. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, the authors go directly to conducting interviews. Interviews to explore primary data and analyzed using Miles and Huberman, models. The results of the study found that the principal's strategy as a leader as well as public relations was by (1) the new school year holding work meeting or working meeting, (2) visiting parents' homes to convince the community and parents of students. (3) by using influential public figures. (4). provide opportunities for the community to participate, (5). carry out publications and socialization through TV and school channels, (6). overcome various obstacles and barriers to schools involving the community. Meanwhile, community participation in SMP IT Insan Cendikia Kutai Kartanegara is (1) Participation in the form of money and goods; Participation in the form of funds and goods by parents and the community with an awareness of education. (2) Participation of personnel and expertise; in the form of personnel who come from several guardians of students with certain skills and professions such as doctors, chefs, soldiers, police, entrepreneurs, farmers, and breeders. (3). Thought participation; community participation in the form of thoughts and policies in schools.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the management of school climate, state heads of schools in managing school climate, and challenge the management of school climate in primary education institutions. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative research method. The results are: In managing the school climate, the principal formulates ethical values, inspires enthusiasm, adjusts school goals, and fosters commitment, mutual respect and trust, and cooperation. Then, the principal's strategy in managing the school climate is carried out by setting an example, increasing motivation, and increasing discipline, and commitment. Meanwhile, the challenges in managing the school climate are absenteeism, matching the teacher's educational background, and communication between parents and teachers in the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the policy of changing the Indonesian education curriculum from 1945 to the present. This curriculum development has been carried out several times in order to make adjustments to changes in technology and information, especially in the field of education. The method used in this research is the library research method. The focus of the study in this journal is on the development of the education curriculum in Indonesia from the beginning of independence to the present. The results showed that the curriculum in Indonesia has changed several times, starting in 1947, 1952, 1964, 1968, 1975, 1985, 1994, 2004, 2013, and last in 2022. The expected benefits of this paper are to provide understanding to teachers and the public regarding curriculum change policies in Indonesia, to be used as a reference for further curriculum development, and to create students who are superior and have global insight.

Abstract

The developments in the globalization era have made technological developments rapidly develop in all lines of human life. The technological developments are not only limited to the development of fission tools or hardware therapy but also in the form of software. The development of application technology in the world of education for orderly administration and the digitalization of educational administration is growing rapidly. One of them is YPPSB, which is developing an application for administrative services for teachers and employees called the PRIMA application. In 2022, YPPSB, through the business manager and support, published an application called PRIMA. With this application, YPPSB provides easy administrative services, especially for teachers and employees who are under the auspices of YPPSB. Based on this, researchers are interested in knowing how to use the administrative services of teachers and employees at YPPSB through the PRIMA application at YPPSB. The research was conducted using qualitative methods by collecting data from results, interviews, observation, and documentation. Furthermore, the data was analyzed using interactive analysis, namely by condensing data, presenting data, and ending with conclusions. The results of the study can convey that the use of the PRIMASI application service at YPPSB has been going well with the convenience of teachers and employees in reporting administration at school. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that administrative services through the PRIMA application are registration and data collection of teachers and employees, validating teacher data, payroll and payment of overtime allowances for teachers and employees, submission of proposals, and data collection and repair of assets. Everything automatically uses the PRIMA application held by the operator at YPPSB, although I still found various obstacles.

Abstract

This research includes quantitative research using a correlational approach. The population in this study were all permanent and non permanent lecturers of STAIS and STIPER about 192 lecturers. This study used a cluster random sampling technique with 67 lecturers as respondents. Test the validity of the data using validity and reliability tests. Prerequisite test analysis using normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. Hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression test, t-test (partial), and F-test (simultaneous).The results showed that: 1) there is a positive and significant influence of infrastructure facilities on lecturer performance at STAIS and STIPER, evidenced by t-count> table (3.260> 1.998) with a significant level of 0.017 ≤ 0.05. 2) There is a positive and significant effect of the work environment on the performance of lecturers at STAIS and STIPER, as evidenced by t-count> table (2.335> 1.998) with a significant level of 0.023 ≤ 0.05. 3) There is a positive and significant influence of infrastructure and work environment on the performance of lecturers at STAIS and STIPER, evidenced by F-count> F-table (10.222> 3.14) with a coefficient of determination of 0.442 which means it has an influence of 44.2% in the range of sufficient categories. This study concludes that infrastructure and work environment positively and significantly influence the performance of lecturers at STAIS and STIPER East Kutai Regency partially or simultaneously.

Abstract

Educational supervision is the main element in building the reputation and quality of education. This research aims to investigate whether educational supervision can serve as a vital instrument in maintaining accountability, enhancing the quality of learning, and preserving the reputation of educational institutions. This research employs a library research methodology. The findings of this study reveal the significant role of supervision in an educational context and outline several benefits it yields. Through the effective supervisory process, schools and educators can identify and address weaknesses in teaching methods, curriculum, and assessment. It not only improves the quality of education but also ensures compliance with national standards. Furthermore, educational supervision helps maintain a positive image of schools and educators, enhances customer satisfaction (students and parents), and makes a substantial contribution to building a strong reputation for education. Thus, educational supervision functions not only as a surveillance instrument but also as the key pillar in creating an outstanding and respected education system.
