Abstract

This study aims to analyze the local government’s marketing communication stratergy in the Sentra IKM gambir in Sutera district and examine its effectiveness in improving farmer’s welfare. This research employs a qualitive approach with a descriptive method, utilizing interviews, observation dan documentation as date collection techniques. The findings indicate that the government has designed a marketing communication strategy aimed at increasing product value through downstream processing, quality enhancement and marketing expansion. The implementation involves personal selling, direct marketing, digital marketing and promotional activities through exhibilition. However, audience segmentation and the integration of communication channels have not been fully optimized, resulting in uneven information dissemination. While the strategy has been effective in enhanacing farmer’s capacity and production awareness, it has not fully ensured income stability due to price fluktuations and limited market access. Therefore, the overall marketing communication strategy can be categorized as semi-effective.

Abstract

As a medium for historical education, museums require effective communication strategies to ensure that historical narratives are understood by visitors with diverse backgrounds. This study aims to analyze the communication strategies employed by public relations staff, tour guides, and marketing teams in conveying historical narratives to visitors at the Monumen Jogja Kembali. The research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that communication strategies are implemented by tailoring language and narratives to visitor characteristics, utilizing a combination of verbal communication and educational media, and strengthening communication through digital channels and inter-departmental coordination. However, challenges remain, specifically regarding varying levels of visitor comprehension and limitations in tour guide services. The study concludes that adaptive and integrated communication strategies can enhance the effectiveness of conveying historical narratives and reinforce the museum’s educational role in preserving historical values.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of major changes in physical, sexual, psychological, and mental development that influence how teenagers respond to their environment. The increasing prevalence of emotional and mental disorders among adolescents is often associated with social media use, which can trigger anxiety and depression due to the tendency to compare themselves with others. This study aimed to determine the relationship between social media use and mental health among adolescents at SMA Negeri 5 Padang. This study used a quantitative analytical method with a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted in May 2025 and involved 89 students from grades X and XI selected through random sampling from a population of 819 students. Data were collected using a social media usage questionnaire and the Self-Reporting Questionnaire-20 (SRQ-20) and were analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results showed that 62.9% of adolescents experienced emotional mental disorders, and there was a significant relationship between social media use and mental health (p-value = 0.000). Schools are expected to provide education on mental health and the impact of social media use.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the fundraising strategy implemented in the Palembang Sehat Program at BAZNAS Palembang City and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its implementation. This research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Henry Mintzberg's strategy theory was used as the analytical framework to examine the fundraising strategies implemented by BAZNAS Palembang City. The findings reveal that the fundraising strategy for the Palembang Sehat Program is carried out through systematic planning, strengthening the network of Zakat Collection Units (UPZ), conducting public outreach, establishing institutional partnerships, and utilizing digital media as a communication platform. The primary strategy emphasizes persuasive and educational communication by highlighting the benefits of the Palembang Sehat Program for underprivileged communities while optimizing religious occasions, such as Ramadan and Islamic holidays, to maximize fundraising efforts. The supporting factors include a high level of public trust in BAZNAS, supportive government regulations, and strong public awareness of health-related social programs. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include unstable fundraising due to dependence on specific periods, limited human resources in reaching potential donors, and the tendency of some people to distribute donations directly to beneficiaries rather than through zakat institutions. The study concludes that the fundraising strategy implemented by BAZNAS Palembang City has been effectively carried out. However, further optimization of communication strategies, stronger institutional partnerships, and enhanced human resource capacity are needed to ensure sustainable fundraising and improve the effectiveness of the Palembang Sehat Program.

Abstract

Pancasila is the foundation of the Indonesian state and the national ideology that guides social, national, and state life. Globalization and rapid technological development have created challenges in understanding and implementing Pancasila values, particularly among university students. This study aims to examine students' perspectives on Pancasila as the state ideology, its relevance to student life, the challenges of applying its values, and their implementation in everyday life. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving seven students from the Korean Language, Japanese Literature, and English Literature study programs at Universitas Nasional. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that most students view Pancasila as the foundation of the state, a guide for life, and a unifying force that remains relevant. Its values are implemented through tolerance, deliberation, cooperation, respect for diversity, and discipline in campus life

Abstract

The complexity of vulnerabilities in agrarian rural areas necessitates an integrative approach to mapping socio-economic and public health issues. This study aims to identify and formulate the root causes of the problems in Padang Peri Village, Seluma Regency. A qualitative action research design based on the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method was applied. Data collection involved Focus Group Discussions (FGD), participatory mapping, transect walks, and problem tree analysis with local farmers. The results identified three main problem clusters: (1) the failure of pest control prompting excessive chemical spraying; (2) the degradation of soil biophysics due to irrigation deficits accelerating land conversion from rice fields to oil palm plantations; and (3) price fluctuations of palm oil and rice weakening household income. These clusters form an "agricultural-health trap," where economic pressures and ecological damages transmit directly into physical health burdens (chronic pesticide poisoning) and mental health disorders (psychosocial stress). This study recommends strengthening village institutions (BUMDes), accelerating irrigation network development, and transitioning towards ecological agriculture to break the vulnerability chain.

Abstract

Mutual cooperation, known as gotong royong, is one of the fundamental cultural values of Indonesian society. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were collected through literature review by analyzing books, scientific journals, and related articles.Thearticles Thefindings indicate that increasing individualism can reduce community participation in social activities.
