Surya : Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (eISSN: 2548-4397, pISSN: 2460-576X ) adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh LPPM Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi (UMMI) sejak tahun 2016, dan terbit dua kali dalam setahun, bulan Mei dan November. Jurnal ini menerbitkan tulisan hasil penelitian dengan fokus pada bidang Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat. Setiap naskah yang diterbitkan di Surya : Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat melewati proses peer review dengan sistem double blind review, artinya penulis tidak mengetahui siapa yang menilai naskahnya dan reviewer tidak mengetahui siapa penulis naskah tersebut. Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Surya Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi (UMMI) adalah jurnal nasional yang berisi hasil-hasil kegiatan pengabdian dan pemberdayaan masyarakat dari segala rumpun ilmu (Multidisiplin).

Abstract

KWT Walidah Sukaresmi Village, Cisaat District, Sukabumi Regency is one of the KWTs that is running the Sustainable Food Garden (P2L) program starting in 2020. Its activities are carried out using an empowerment method that involves the active participation of all members under the assistance of local agricultural extension workers. The results of the activity show that KWT Walidah can carry out activities in accordance with the provisions set by the Food Security Agency. Meanwhile, based on the evaluation results, it is shown that from the aspect of availability, accessibility, utilization and income, it is in good category. Based on this, the P2L program should continue to be carried out sustainably by KWT Walidah in order to support food security at the family level.

Abstract

The agricultural sector in Indonesia an important role in the economy, especially the coffee plantation sector. Coffee is one of the quality plantation products and has a high economic value. However, coffee farmers need partners to enter the market at high prices, and the problem faced in the implementation of farm partnership cooperation is the imbalance between the implementation of the cooperation model and the level of economic benefits obtained. The purpose of this study is to outline the partnership between coffee farmers and CV Bumi Kopi, a marketing partner that produces coffee. The research method used is a quantitative research method with a qualitative description. The data collection method is the purposive sampling method.The results of this study show that the pattern of partnership carried out between farmers and CV bumi kopi is the partnership pattern of Agribusiness Operational Cooperation (KOA), which is a partnership pattern which is a business relationship run by a partner group with partner companies.

Abstract

Currently, Tambakroto Village is already strong enough, both in terms of human resources and natural resources and there have been many useful activities carried out in an effort to improve the village economy. They still don't understand how to properly interact with customers/consumers. Ethics in communicating in business is also often neglected, for example in the speed of responding to customer complaints. Therefore, understanding and knowledge are needed for local village management and youth as stakeholders in communicating with the wider community, especially consumers. Knowledge of this business communication strategy is very important for students, business policy makers to the general public so that the management of village potential can be known and understood properly. Good and bad village management greatly affects the management of the potentials of each village so that it can become a source of village economic producers and lift the economy of the villagers around it.

Abstract

The Technology community service activity program that will be disseminated to the community is entitled Micro Hydro Power Plant at the Location of Ciletuh Sukabumi Geopark Tourism Objects. The location of this activity is the border of Ciwaru, Ciemas and Girimukti Villages, Ciemas District, Sukabumi Regency. The problem faced by partners as managers of Ciletuh Geopark tourism objects, especially Puncak Darma and Curug Cimarinjung, is the lack of electrical energy supply both at the location of tourist objects and in supporting facilities around the object and also the surrounding community. The method of solving the problems faced by this partner is to make a micro hydro power plant (PLTMH) installation with a gravity system and provide counseling and training. The result of this activity is that it is hoped that most of the managing community and the environment around the tourist object can get a supply of electrical energy that meets the needs of the management of tourism objects and their supporters. From the results of this activity, an electrical installation with a maximum capacity of 3000 watts was created.

Abstract

The Community Service Program of Technology that has been disseminated by the community has been implemented is entitled Hydram Technology and PipanizationGravity System for the Provision of Agricultural Production Water Needs of the Bangkit 1 Kaliandra Farmer Group and the Bangkit 1 Legok Tiis Farmer Group. The location of the activity is Sukamaju Village, Kadudampit District Sukabumi Regency. The problem faced by partners as farmers, especially farmers who are members of the bangkit 1 Kaliandra farmer group and the Bangkit 1Legok This farmer group is the lack of water supply for agricultural production during the growing season while the results of the farm are supported in meeting the needs of the community and agricultural supplies for the Sukabumi City, Bogor and Jakarta areas. The method of implementation in solving the problems faced by partners is to make a simple technological installation through hydram to raise the water level to a higher elevation and flow through pipes with a gravitational force that can lift as far as 5-7 heights from different water source elevasilcures to hydram devices and provide counseling and training in technology maintenance. As a result of this activity, the community can increase agricultural production which can at the same time improve the economy through the sustainable use of water supply.

Abstract

Empowerment is an effort to build potential by motivating and raising awareness, the purpose of empowerment to create social change in the community. A society is a large number of people who live within the same territory and form a group. Farmer groups are a form of social because they can be used as a place for teaching and learning. Sari Alam farmer group is an agricultural institution with the aim of developing skills in organic rice cultivation. This study aims to describe the process of empowerment and income comparison before and after receiving the organic rice cultivation food barn program in the Sari Alam farmer group. The research method used is a descriptive method of survey type. Data collection in this study is primary and secondary data. The sampling technique used is Purposive sampling. The design of the analysis uses descriptive with average retrieval and revenue analysis. The results of the community empowerment research aim to increase the capacity and quality of farmers to grow and develop into empowered, independent and prosperous farmers in terms of the comparison of income results in rice cultivation.

Abstract

 Wlahar Kulon Village, Patikraja District, Banyumas has a community of quail breeders (Coturnix coturnix japonica), one of which is Pak Herman. Partner problems are the microclimate of the cage which is uncomfortable, not yet equipped with precise tools and there is only one fan for the building. This condition causes low egg production and egg shell quality. The optimal environmental temperature for quail production period is 28-32°C. Temperatures that are too high cause the egg shells to be thin and easily cracked and make the quail stressed and die easily. The purpose of this PKM-PI is to increase the productivity of quail using the Smartquail Incubator tool and to apply and develop it in order to achieve economic independence for quail farmers. The method of implementing this program consists of conducting surveys and literature studies, designing and manufacturing tools, calibrating sensors, testing tools, evaluating tools, as well as mentoring and monitoring. The results after applying the Smartquail Incubator tool to quail farmers are that the cage temperature control becomes automatic, the energy needed to manage quail is only 2 hours/day, production increases to 38.2 kg/month, mortality decreases to 3 fish/month, quail egg shell becomes thicker, and uses a hybrid electric energy source, namely a combination of PLN and solar panels. Smartquail Incubator uses a microcontroller equipped with an LCD as a means of regulating and monitoring the temperature conditions of the cage. Smartquail Incubator can be controlled with a Smartphone remotely because it already uses the Internet of Things system. The conclusion obtained is that the Smartquail Incubator is an alternative for quail breeders to increase quail productivity. The development of the Smartquail Incubator helps farmers to achieve economic independence.

Abstract

Pelatihan penulisan artikel jurnal internasional bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas kemampuan dosen Program Studi Teknik Sipil Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi dalam menulis artikel di Jurnal Internasional. Pelatihan penulisan artikel ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya publikasi karya ilmiah dosen. Untuk itu dibutuhkan suatu metode yang tepat. Cara yang dilakukan adalah dengan mengadakan pelatihan penulisan artikel jurnal internasional dengan langkah-langkah penulisan draf awal, pengkoreksian, draf berikutnya yang sudah perbaikan dan dielaborasi, dan diakhiri dengan penyempurnaan draf. Hasil dari pelatihan ini meningkatnya kemampuan dosen dalam menulis artikel pada aspek leksikogramatika dan makna kata pada artikel sudah bervariasi, jelas, meskipun belum terlalu efektif dalam penggunaannya. Dalam sistematika tulisan terlihat dapat menuliskan ragam bahasa tulis yang lebih baik sehingga tujuan komunikasi teks terlihat jelas arahnya. Begitu pun, dalam hubungan antar gagasan pada tulisan, dosen dapat mengembangkan paragraf yang memiliki hubungan antar gagasan.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bekal, pemahaman, dan pengalaman teoritis serta praktis kepada mahasiswa MPAI PPs UM Tangerang mengenai peran pendidikan Islam di era digital melalui perbandiangan pendidikan Indonesia dengan Kuwait. Terlaksananya Pengabdian Masyarakat internasional ini berkat adanya kerjasama yang baik antara PPs UM Tangerang dengan Pimpinan Cabang Istimewa Muhammadiyah (PCIM) Kuwait dan alumni MPAI PPs UM Tangerang yang bekerja di Kedutaan Besar Indonesia di Kuwait. Magister Pendidikan Agama Islam mengajukan menjadi pembicara kepada Kedubes Indonesia di Kuwait di mana PCIM dan Alumni MPAI sebagai pihak yang menjadi fasilitatornya. Tema yang diangkat pada Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Internasional “Peran Pendidikan Islam di Era Digital: Studi Komparasi Indonesia dan Kuwait. Tema tersebut dilaksanakan mengingat pentingnya mahasiswa menetahui peran pendidikan Islam di era digital. Peran pendidikan Islam tidak hanya di Indonesia tetapi dibandingkan dengan negara Kuwait. Berkat kemajuan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) pendidikan Islam tidak hanya berbicara di Indonesia saja, tetapi sudah mendunia, termasuk di negara Kuwait yang menjadi salah satu negara kaya di Timur Tengah. Mesti berbeda secara kultur, geografis, historis, suku, dan lain sebagainya, tetapi bisa duduk bersama via Zoom Meeting untuk saling berbagi mengenai peran pendidikan Islam di era digital. Pendidikan Islam di era digital penting dijelaskan dan dianalisis mengingat era digital banyak menimbulkan disruptif dalam berbagai sendi kehidupan, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Masuknya pesan pesan yang tidak jelas ke dalam WAG masyarakat, mesti mendapatkan perhatian penuh dari pembaca, khsusnya mahasiswa MPAI PPs UM Tangerang. Jika tidak diperhatikan secara teliti apakah informasi itu sahih atau tidak, maka bukan tidak mungkin masyarakat digitial akan terbawa arus informasi yang tidak benar. Untuk mengcounter masalah tersebut, peran pendidikan Islam sangat lah vital sebagai pemberi rambu-rambu dalam hubungan antar sesama manusia di era digital.
