Abstract

Palembang is one of the major cities in Indonesia that has undergone rapid growth, particularly in infrastructure and transportation. This development has led to a significant increase in vehicle numbers and heavy traffic flow, which is further worsened by side-friction activities that cause vehicle congestion, delays, and increase the risk of accidents. As a result, these traffic conditions reduce the comfort and safety of road users. The Kapten A. Rivai intersection, the focus of this study, serves as a key junction in Palembang, connecting office districts, shopping centers, and schools. The problem addressed in this research is how to analyze the performance and Level of Service (LOS) of the signalized intersection at Kapten A. Rivai using the PKJI 2023 method, with the goal of assessing the intersection’s overall performance and service quality. The findings show that during the evening peak hour on Tuesday (5:00 PM – 6:00 PM), the highest traffic volume at the Kapten A. Rivai intersection was recorded on the Jaksa Agung Soeprapto approach, with a capacity of 699 vehicles/hour and a saturation degree of 0.9. The average delay at the intersection was 49.57 seconds/vehicle, placing its Level of Service (LOS) in category E.

Abstract

Roads are one of the means of land transportation and will continue to develop as one of the transportation infrastructures to meet the needs of the community in carrying out various activities. Road development is one of the things that continues to experience progress in terms of technology and the mindset of the people who use it, so that roads are an important place for the community. Jalan Tanding Marga to SEI Dua, Karang Tanding Village, North Penukal District is also a frequently used access road where the current condition still does not have a pavement construction so that planning is needed for the geometry and type of pavement. The research method carried out through several stages, namely topographic surveys, investigations of existing conditions, geometric planning of roads in the Geometric Planning Procedures for Roads issued by the Directorate General of Highways No.038/BM/1997 and determination of the thickness of the road pavement according to SNI 03-1732-1989. The results of the study showed that the design speed plan was 40 km/hour which met the technical requirements. The results of the analysis show that the recommended types of flexible pavement layers can use the AC-Base, AC-BC and AC-WC types with thicknesses of 150 mm, 60 mm and 40 mm respectively.

Abstract

Lake Normalization is a job that aims to improve the structure of the lake shape by moving sedimentation in the lake so that the lake volume increases and can accommodate more water capacity. Lake normalization work uses excavator heavy equipment with hitachi and sumitomo brands. The purpose of this study is to determine the productivity of excavator heavy equipment using the analysis method of PERMEN PUPR No. 28/PRT/M/2016 and determine the number of heavy equipment needed in lake normalization work. Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, it is known that the volume of the lake is 98,350 m³ with hourly productivity of hitachi brand heavy equipment 93.72 m³ / hour and productivity of sumitomo brand heavy equipment 84.35 m³ / hour and the heavy equipment needed in lake normalization work is 10 units consisting of 5 units of hitachi brand excavators and 5 units of sumitomo brand excavators.

Abstract

Road construction projects undertaken by the Prabumulih City Government involve contractors as service providers. Therefore, project cost evaluation is required to determine whether contractors obtain a profit or incur a loss during implementation. This study aims to determine the Project Implementation Budget (RAP) based on actual material prices, labour wages, equipment costs, and field conditions, and to compare it with the Cost Budget Plan (RAB) for the Nigata Road Construction Project in Sukajadi Subdistrict, Prabumulih City. Primary data were obtained through field measurements, calculation of work volumes, and preparation of the cost estimate for Segment 2. Secondary data consisted of the project RAB, design drawings, the 2023 Unit Price Analysis, and the research location map. The RAB and RAP were calculated using the method applied by the Prabumulih City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency, particularly in determining coefficients for each work item. The results showed that the RAP for the Nigata Road Construction Project amounted to IDR 862,024,101.46. The comparison between the RAB and RAP indicated a difference of 14.986%. This difference may represent the contractor’s potential profit margin, depending on actual expenditures and conditions encountered during project execution in the field and effective management of available project resources.

Abstract

Sungai Kedukan adalah sungai buatan/kanal yang bermuara di sungai Ogan kemudian mengalir ke Sungai Musi dan memiliki lebar sekitar 10 m dengan kedalaman 3m yang terletak di antara permukiman warga dan menjadi kawasan yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh pasang surut sungai musi. Akibat besarnya endapan sedimen yang tidak pernah dilakukan pengerukan atau normalisasi sehingga mengecilnya kapasitas daya tampung sungai dan mengakibatkan melimpasnya air sungai hingga ke permukiman warga, maka perlu di lakukan penelitian baik mengenai perhitungan kapasitas sungai dan debit untuk perencanaan normalisasi Sungai Kedukan. Lokasi penelitian berada di Sungai Kedukan Kecamatan Seberang Ulu 1 Kota Palembang. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan berupa pengumpulan data survei seperti pengukuran cross section, long section , kedalaman menggunakan alat waterpass dan rambu ukur. Pengambilan sampel sedimen menggunakan alat water sampler dan analisis yang dilakukan adalah debit dan volume sedimen dengan Metode Frijlink. Simulasi profil Sungai Kedukan menggunakan program HEC-RAS 5.0.7. 2. Besar debit sedimen dasar pada titik 1 = 2,105 x 10-5 m3/s/m’, titik 2 = 1,535 x 10-5 m3/s/m’, titik 3 = 3,104 x 10-5 m3/s/m’, dan volume sedimen dasar pada titik 1 = 5,76 x 10-4 m3/dtk, titik 2 = 2,758 x 10-4 m3/dtk, dan titik 3 1,923 x 10-4 m3/dtk. Simulasi profil Sungai Kedukan Ulu menggunakan program Hec-Ras dengan data sedimentasi menunjukan bahwa sungai masih dapat menamung air ketika kondisi curah hujan tinggi

Abstract

Palembang City, especially the Demang Lebar Daun Sub-district area which every year during the rainy season always experiences flooding caused by the topography in the form of lowlands so that during the rainy season it receives a large amount of water flow. The retention pond of the Siti Khadijah Hospital on Jalan Demang Lebar Daun is a retention pond that is able to accommodate excess water in the area, but this pond is no longer able to overcome the problem of flooding, one of the causes being the capacity of the existing retention pond that is not appropriate and the problem of sedimentation deposits. The research method used was a measurement survey to obtain data on the cross-sectional area and depth of the pond, in addition to taking sediment samples at the inlet, outlet and middle of the pond to carry out filter analysis and specific gravity in the laboratory. The results of the study showed that based on sediment analysis using the Frijlink method, the largest basic sediment discharge was 5.192 x 10-6 m3/s/m, the basic sediment volume (bed load) was 3.7832 x 10-6 m3/s and the largest retention pond embankment volume was 25,788.25 m3/year.

Abstract

Better basic public service infrastructure is needed for the growth of the housing and settlement sector. Housing infrastructure is needed along with the growth of an area. Infrastructure that functions as a center of citizen activity plays an important role in improving the urban environment. Palembang City is one of the metropolitan cities that also has problems with the quality of settlements, namely slum areas. In this study, a study was conducted on improving the quality of settlements in slum areas in Ilir Barat Dua District which focused on the areas of Tiga-puluh Ilir Village and Tiga-puluh-dua Ilir Village. The research method used was literature study, field study conducting data inventory with direct observation and stages of preparing a settlement quality improvement plan in accordance with regional spatial planning. The results of the slum indicators obtained that the waste management system, drainage system and environmental roads were the highest factors with values of 86%, 66% and 30% for Tiga-puluh Ilir Village, respectively. Meanwhile, for Kelurahan Tiga-puluh-dua Ilir also obtained the largest slum indicators, namely the waste management system of 81%, the quality of the environmental road surface of 70% and the availability of drainage of 51%. Seeing these results, the main focus of planning to improve the quality of settlements is on drainage channels and road access.

Abstract

Landslides are natural disasters caused by slope instability resulting from geomorphological, hydrological, and human activity factors. This phenomenon can occur suddenly or gradually, causing significant impacts on infrastructure, safety, and community access. In North Tanah Abang Village, Tanah Abang District, PALI Regency, the landslide risk is quite high due to steep topography, erosion of the Lematang River, and human activities such as deforestation and sand mining. Risk analysis through parameters such as geology, topography, rainfall, and land use indicates a moderate to high danger level in this area. Effective mitigation efforts include structural approaches like terracing and retaining walls, as well as non-structural approaches such as reforestation, community education, and land use regulation. The implementation of early warning systems is also a crucial step in reducing the impacts and losses caused by landslides. Through these measures, it is expected that the landslide disaster risk in this region can be minimized and community preparedness improved.

Abstract

Roads, as an essential part of the national transportation system, play a very vital role, especially in supporting economic, social, cultural, and environmental aspects. In road maintenance planning, it is necessary to have a well-organized and systematic road handling program. One of the steps in planning new roads is to determine the pavement thickness. The aim of this research is to determine the pavement thickness of roads in Muara Ikan Village - Talang Ali, PALI Regency, using the 2017 Manual for Pavement Design (MDP) method. By utilizing various methods and approaches related to traffic volume, vehicle types, subgrade soil types, and planning duration, pavement thickness calculations can be performed. The research method includes surveys of the geometric conditions of the road, daily traffic volume, and surrounding topography. The data obtained are further analyzed using the pavement design guidelines from 2017. The results indicate that the rigid pavement design based on the 2017 MDP method uses concrete pavement with a compressive strength of Fs’ 45 MPa and a thickness of 27.5 cm, an aggregate base layer of Class A with a thickness of 15 cm, and soil improvement using selective backfill with a thickness of 30 cm.

Abstract

Infrastructure development in the education sector plays an important role. Universitas Indo Global Mandiri supports educational infrastructure development through the provision of student rental flats (Rusunawa). One of the key aspects in rusunawa construction is the structural quality, which must be capable of resisting loads and ensuring occupant safety. Concrete, as the primary structural material, significantly influences the performance of the structure. This study aims to compare the structural design of the Universitas Indo Global Mandiri rusunawa using concrete compressive strengths of fc′ 25 MPa and fc′ 30 MPa, and to determine the differences in internal forces and reinforcement requirements. The building was designed using a Special Moment Resisting Frame (SMRF) system subjected to dead, live, wind, and earthquake loads. Structural analysis was conducted using SAP2000 to obtain internal forces, while Microsoft Excel was used to determine reinforcement requirements. The results showed that beams and columns with fc′ 25 MPa concrete produced lower internal forces than those with fc′ 30 MPa concrete. However, the variation in concrete compressive strength did not affect the required reinforcement. The main beams required 3D16 support reinforcement and 2P10–190 shear reinforcement, secondary beams required 2D16 support reinforcement and 2P10–190 shear reinforcement, while columns required 3D13 longitudinal reinforcement and D10–200 transverse reinforcement.
