Abstract

RSUD Siti Fatimah Az-Zahra in the province of South Sumatra is the largest regional government hospital in Indonesia. The hospital functions not only as a place of medical care, but also as a complex health service center, which requires a special and well-integrated building structure design. Analysis of the building structure using static equivalent force analysis and dynamic response spectrum analysis methods within the framework of the upper structure with a focus on comparing displacement and base shear. The purpose of this study is to determine the results of displacement and base shear, and to determine the results of comparison of displacement and base shear results using equivalent static and dynamic response spectrum methods. The results of the research conducted using SAP2000 software calculated the displacement that occurred using the equivalent static method shifted by 1.08% in the X direction and by 3.97% in the Y direction, then using the dynamic spectrum response method shifted by 1.41% in the X direction and by 3.56% in the Y direction, while the base shear for the resulting scale factor in the X direction was 1.412 and for the Y direction was 1.119. The displacement comparison results for the equivalent static method in the X direction are smaller than those for the dynamic spectrum response method in the X direction, and for the equivalent static method in the Y direction are larger than those for the dynamic spectrum response method in the Y direction, while for the base shear calculation, the equivalent static method is larger than that for the dynamic spectrum response method, based on the SNI-1726-2019 reference calculated using SAP2000 software, the structure is still in the SAFE category.

Abstract

Rapid development dynamics and the update of spatial planning regulations at both national and regional levels require spatial plans to remain adaptive and relevant. This study aims to evaluate the necessity of reviewing Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2018 concerning the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) of Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) Regency for the 2018–2038 period. The evaluation was conducted comprehensively through two main approaches: a synchronization analysis of spatial utilization against the latest legal frameworks, and a spatial data analysis to assess the quality, validity, and deviations of spatial utilization. The evaluation reveals that the current RTRW content requires significant refinement. In terms of spatial structure, the existing document covers only 76.29% of the required parameters, with a plan depth score of just 36.72%. Critical infrastructure elements, such as local roads, environmental roads, and energy networks, remain insufficiently planned. Meanwhile, the spatial pattern element achieved an 87.50% completeness rate and a 75.00% depth rate, yet still omits strategic areas such as aquaculture and transportation zones. Furthermore, the implementation of the first five-year program shows low execution rates, most notably the delay in establishing Detailed Spatial Plans (RDTR) for designated activity centers. This study concludes that the RTRW of PALI Regency urgently requires a formal revision to integrate updated policy directions and align spatial utilization with actual regional development dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of side friction on traffic performance along MP Mangkunegara Street, Palembang City, using the PKJI 2023 method and the Greenshields model. Observed side friction factors include parked/stopped vehicles, pedestrians, entering/exiting vehicles, and street vendors, with a very high intensity reaching 811.8 events/hour on Saturday and 890.4 events/hour on Tuesday. These conditions contribute to a significant reduction in free-flow speed and road capacity. Based on the Greenshields model analysis, the free-flow speed (Vf) decreased significantly from 38.833 km/h to 26.028 km/h, while the jam density (Dj) increased from 69.90 smp/km to 158.128 smp/km. Although the maximum flow (Qmax) increased due to rising density, the speed at maximum capacity declined. The peak-hour degree of saturation ranged from 0.44 to 0.78, indicating a level of service between B and D.

Abstract

Current Breaker Structure (Crib) is one of the water building constructions that can overcome the problem of river bank damage, which is caused by river flow experiencing a high increase in flood discharge. Adjustment of the type of grib construction used certainly refers to the location of the grib placement so that it can have a real impact in overcoming the destructive power of river water when there is an increase in flood discharge volume. The purpose of this study is to analyze the planned type of current breaker structure (grib) at the location of the Enim 3 Steel Frame Bridge using the SMS (Surface Modeling System) Modeling method that can provide information on water flow in the watershed. This research method is in the form of research by conducting various mathematical and empirical approaches, so that the type of grib that is appropriate to field conditions (soil, river flow, and facilities around the river) will be obtained which will ultimately produce Design Details that can be followed up with construction activities. From the results of the grib planning calculations, 4 grib units with a hexapod type are obtained which are arranged in a trapezoidal shape.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the alignment of field California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test results with the design specifications for concrete pavement in the construction of Public Infrastructure, Facilities, and Utilities (PSU) for Low-Income Housing (MBR) in Griya Curup Embun Housing Phases I and II, Pagar Alam City. CBR testing was conducted on seven road segments, evaluating both the subgrade and granular (sirtu) layers using the field CBR method as per SNI 1738:2011 . The results indicate that all segments met the technical requirements, with CBR values exceeding the minimum standards greater than 6% for subgrade soil and greater than 60% for granular layers as stipulated in Circular Letter No. 110/KPTS/Dr/2022. One segment (Segment 5) initially showed a CBR value below the requirement but was retested and achieved a compliant value of 91.5%. The findings confirm that the planned concrete road pavement corresponds appropriately with the site's soil bearing capacity. Moreover, the study highlights the importance of accurate test point selection to ensure that CBR values are representative of overall conditions. These results are critical for guiding the planning of sustainable and standard-compliant residential road infrastructure.

Abstract

Road widening is a key strategy to improve traffic capacity and transportation service quality. However, integrated evaluations that simultaneously address capacity, safety, and economic benefits remain limited. This study aims to analyze the impact of widening the Simpang 3 Talang Subur – Talang Kemang road section in Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency on traffic capacity, road safety, and economic efficiency. Primary data were collected through an Average Daily Traffic (ADT) survey using the traffic counting method, while secondary data included vehicle growth records and traffic accident statistics. Capacity analysis was conducted based on the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (PKJI) 2023 by comparing existing conditions (5 m road width) with a widening scenario (7.2 m). The results show a significant increase in capacity from 1,494 smp/hour to 2,668 smp/hour, accompanied by an improvement in level of service from LOS E to LOS C. Projections indicate that post-widening capacity will accommodate traffic growth for the next 10 years. In terms of safety, widening may increase vehicle speeds, highlighting the need for traffic control and supporting facilities. Economically, benefits were assessed through Travel Time Savings (TTS), demonstrating substantial transport cost efficiency.

Abstract

Concrete is a widely used construction material due to its high strength and durability. The quality of concrete is greatly influenced by the characteristics of the aggregates that make up 60–70% of the concrete volume. This study aims to analyze the effect of fine sand aggregate and coarse natural gravel aggregate from the Batanghari River on the compressive strength of concrete. Three sample variations were used, namely: AA (Mendapo Quarry and Kasang Quarry aggregates), BB (RBE Quarry and Sengeti Quarry aggregates), and AABB (a combination of AA + BB). The test specimens were cylindrical in shape, measuring 15×30 cm with a design quality of 20 MPa. Compressive strength testing was carried out at the ages of 7, 14, and 28 days according to SNI 1974:2011. The test results at 7 days of age were 5.436 MPa for AA samples, 5.067 MPa for BB samples, 5.879 MPa for AABB samples, at 14 days of age 16.080 MPa for AA samples, 13.389 MPa for BB samples, 14.829 MPa for AABB samples and at 28 days of age 20.907 MPa for AA samples, 17.403 MPa for BB samples and 22.036 MPa for AABB samples which produced the highest compressive strength. The combination of aggregates provides better gradation, low porosity, and higher density. The natural aggregates of Batanghari River are proven to be suitable for use in medium quality concrete.

Abstract

Peat soil is a soil that physically and technically does not meet the requirements and conditions in construction work.  This study aims to evaluate the improvement of soil carrying capacity using cement stabilization methods, focusing on the value of California Bearing Ratio (CBR) unsoaked. Tests are carried out in laboratories to analyze the physical and mechanical properties of the soil. This research is intended to address the significant subsidence problem that can occur in road construction built on peat soil. The results showed that the CBR value of native soil was 3.00%. After the addition of 4% cement, the CBR value increases to 3.25%. At the addition of 6% cement, the CBR value fell to 2.50%, while at the addition of 8% cement, the CBR value reached 4.17%. It can be concluded that the greatest increase in the value of CBR occurs in the addition of 8% of cement. Thus, soil stabilization methods using cement mixtures can increase the CBR value of peat soils.
