Abstract

This study aims to determine the difficulty of students in determining the main idea and to find out the factors that cause students to find it difficult to determine the main idea. The problem in this research is that there are students who still have difficulty in determining the main idea. This research was conducted in class V of Bintang Sergai Private Elementary School. By using the research subject of all fifth grade students at Bintang Sergai Private Elementary School. This type of research used is qualitative. Data collection techniques are tests and interviews. Data analysis technique uses descriptive. Based on the research results, the average score of all students in determining the main idea in narrative discourse was 49.08 out of 21 students. From the percentage of student scores obtained from the test results according to the location of the main sentence. Deductive paragraphs get a percentage rate of 71.42% in the very poor category, inductive paragraphs get a percentage rate of 76.19% in the very poor category and mixed paragraphs get a percentage of 80.95% in the very poor category. It can be concluded that students have difficulty determining the main sentence in mixed paragraphs. The causative factor is the lack of students' interest in learning the material to determine the main idea of a paragraph, the lack of use of media when the teacher teaches the material to determine the main idea of a paragraph which results in a lack of students' understanding of determining the main idea of a paragraph.

Abstract

The main indicator of a superior school is reflected in the teacher quality factor. Teachers are required to have professionalism in their field. Not only do they have to have knowledge about the field they teach, but all components related to education must exist in each teacher. This is also based on the assumption that the problem of improving the quality of education is certainly based on the character of an educator. Therefore, the more qualified teachers in a school, the more qualified the school will be. Teachers are expected to equip their students as the successors of this nation. Of course, by giving birth to individuals who not only have intellectual abilities, but are also able to appreciate truth, justice, prosperity, peace and a responsible attitude to enter a future era that is highly competitive and without limits. A big dream for this nation which is certainly not just a mere utopia, but we all have to be able to make it happen. Thus, the future of this country depends on how teachers can produce individuals who are independent, mature, responsible and sensitive to social problems in their surroundings in the future.

Abstract

The change in labor structure and quality from the agricultural sector to the industrial sector has created prospects for expanded job opportunities, which are much more important year-on-year in comparison with the agricultural sector. Moreover, the manufacturing sector also offers resources for its employees to boost their health. The workforce experienced an average annual decrease of -1.69 percent from 1994 to 2017, but the manufacturing sector experienced a 6.44 percent rise in jobs. This thesis is a secondary study using time series data collected from the Aceh Province Central Statistical Agency (BPS). The model is structured in the form of simultaneous equations consisting of 6 structural equations and 2 identity equations. The model is an Econometrics model that is used to classify the variables affecting the movement of labor to the manufacturing sector in the agricultural sector. The results of the study indicate that salaries in the industrial sector are higher than wages in the agricultural sector, which is what encourages workers in the agricultural sector to tend to migrate to the industrial sector (transformation). The industrial sector consumes more labor than the agricultural sector with every rise in the number of industries in Aceh Province. Seen by the growth of 1 Aceh industrial unit capable of employing hundreds of employees.
