Abstract

The background of this research is that student learning outcomes are still low and have not reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). The lack of creativity of teachers using models in learning the sub-theme of gratitude for the diversity of class IV UPTD Negeri 122371 Pematang Siantar. And students are less enthusiastic when the teaching and learning process takes place. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Role Playing Model on Student Learning Outcomes in the Sub-theme of Gratitude for the Diversity of Class IV UPTD Negeri 122371 Pematang Siantar. The design of this study uses the type of Pre-Experimental research with one group pretest posttest design. In this study the population was all students of class IV UPTD Negeri 122371 Pematang Siantar, totaling 30 students. The data collection technique used is the test. The results of testing the hypothesis using the paired sample t-test technique with the help of the SPSS 23 program, based on the calculation results that the 2-tailed significant value is 0.00 <0.05 or by comparing t-count > t-table with df = (n-1 ) namely 9.748> 2.045 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the role-playing model on learning outcomes in the sub-theme of being grateful for the diversity of grade IV UPTD Negeri 122371 Pematang Siantar students.

Based on Bloom's Taxonomy, HOTS questions consist of 3 levels, namely analyzing, evaluating and creating. This study aims to describe the ability of students to work on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) problems in mathematics learning in V class SD Negeri 040457 Berastagiat the level of analyzing, evaluating, and creating. This research uses a descriptive quantitative research design. The data of this study were obtained using tests of the students' ability to work on HOTS questions in mathematics learning provided to students by using content validity, while data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the ability of V grade students of SD Negeri 040457 Berastagi in working on HOTS questions in mathematics learning at the level of analyzing questions was obtained on average by 56.35 with quite good categories. In the matter of evaluating level obtained an average of 73,3 with a high category, on the matter of creating level obtained an average of 65,65 with a pretty good category. Abstract

One of the problems in learning is the low ability of students to solve problems (story questions), especially non-routine or open-ended questions. This is due, in part, to students' weaknesses in aspects of creative thinking skills needed to solve problems. To overcome this, appropriate learning is needed, one of which is learning by proposing problems (Problem Posing). Problem posing is an activity task that leads to a critical and creative attitude. Critical thinking skills must be possessed by students in order to be able to face various personal and social problems in their lives. Critical thinking ability is the ability to think reflectively and reason in making decisions. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the aim of describing students' abilities in constructing critical thinking. The results of this study indicate that not all aspects of creative thinking ability increase, especially flexibility in solving problems. But for the aspect of understanding problem information, novelty and fluency in answering questions has increased. Other results show that the ability to solve problems and pose problems has progressed/increased.

Abstract

This study set out to determine the degree of historical awareness among Indonesian college students about various ethnic groups, with a focus on Melayu and Batak ethnic groups. The four components of historical awareness are knowledge of historical events, comprehension of historical research techniques, interpretation of historical events, and historical utility perception. The subjects of this study were college students from two different universities: State University of Medan, which represented Melayu students studying history education, and University of Sumatera, which represented Batak students studying history education. Through the use of a historical consciousness exam, research data were gathered. Multiple-choice questions were developed as test instruments, which assessed knowledge of historical events, comprehension of historical research methodologies, and interpreting historical events, as well as considering the value of history. The proportion of the average historical consciousness scores for each ethnic group of college students was used to examine the data. Overall, the analysis of the results revealed that Melayu college students scored 42% higher on the historical consciousness scale than Batak college students, who scored 39%. This indicates that Melayu college students have a greater level of historical consciousness than Batak college students. The T-test result indicates that there was no significant difference in the historical consciousness of Melayu college students and Minang (df = 78, value sig. 0.198 < 0.08). One may argue that Melayu college students have the same amount of historical awareness as Minang students.
