Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces various complex challenges. Therefore, efforts continue to be made by the government, educational institutions and society as a whole to improve access, quality and relevance of education in order to create a young generation that is skilled, competitive and ready to face global challenges. In the context of the Independent Curriculum, Catholic religious education in Indonesia focuses on developing religious understanding, moral values and Catholic spirituality for students. The independent curriculum emphasizes the Pancasila student profile. In this classroom action research, the researcher focuses on the dimension of independence which is based on the importance of forming strong character and mental attitudes in the younger generation, especially in facing complex global challenges. Experience often teaches us that what we know (knowledge in the cognitive realm) does not always make us successful in life. But our ability, tenacity and dexterity to digest and apply this knowledge in real life is what will make our lives more meaningful and of higher quality. This means we need to have a variety of intelligences for our lives to be successful. In fact, in a rather extreme way, Cooper and Sawaf (in Maman Sutarman, 2004: 4) in their research stated that intelligence in the cognitive domain (IQ) only contributes 4-10% to a person's life success. This means that 90% of a person's success in life is determined by their ability to digest and apply it in real life. Likewise, in religious life, people do not become saved because of the knowledge they have. People who believe are expected to be able to interpret and apply their faith in their daily lives. Therefore, Catholic religious education in schools should also enable students to have the competence to digest and apply knowledge of the faith in their daily lives. Education at school should provide maximum opportunities for every student to develop his or her potential. Education at school must also produce students who have the enthusiasm to continue learning throughout life (longlife education), full of curiosity and the desire to increase knowledge and skills that are useful for their lives. One of the keys to realizing such education is the existence of high and maintained motivation in students. However, the ideal learning atmosphere is as above; Students have high motivation to learn and it is not always possible to maintain it all the time. We hope that students can achieve optimal understanding and achievement, but what we encounter are students with low achievement and enthusiasm for learning. We hope that students will be actively involved in learning, but they are passive and less involved in the learning process so that their understanding is not optimal. We hope that students will develop into independent children, but every now and then we still encounter students who do not do the homework they are given. We experience situations like the above without exception in the Catholic religious education process.Based on the problem conditions above, teachers can provide learning experiences by designing the learning process. One learning model that can be applied is Problem Based Learning (PBL) or problem-based learning through differentiated learning strategies. The objectives of the research include (1) to find out how the Problem Based Learning model is used in increasing students' motivation and understanding of learning in the Sacrament of Baptism and Penance material in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Sebuku, (2) to find out the increase in learning motivation of students of VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sebuku with the help of the Problem Based Learning model through differentiated learning on the Sacrament of Baptism and Penance material, (3) to find out the use of the Problem Based Learning model through differentiated learning on the Sacrament of Baptism and Penance material, class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Sebuku can apply the student profile Pancasila dimension of mutual cooperation. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this research used observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used consists of data reduction by selecting raw data into information, data presentation, namely presenting data in the form of descriptions, graphs, tables and drawing conclusions by making conclusions from research results that refer to the problem formulation. The use of the Problem Based Learning model is in accordance with the syntax which includes orienting students to problems, organizing students to learn, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and presenting

Abstract

Education is the most important factor in determining the quality of human resources and the progress of a nation. The educational process is able to give birth to creative, innovative ideas in the dynamics of current developments. In the education process, curriculum development becomes one of the instruments to improve the quality of education. With this research, it is hoped that students will be able to improve their critical reasoning skills using the Multimedia-Assisted Discovery Learning Model. Apart from that, it is hoped that students can combine daily life in dealing with suffering with the tribulations experienced by Jesus so that they can apply Jesus' example in their daily life. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research which includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. In this research, it was found that students' critical reasoning skills can be improved through multimedia prepared by teachers, making the learning process and understanding of the material easier. Multimedia assistance can also increase concentration during learning because it is more interesting

Abstract

Motivation is something that is important for every person, perhaps even without motivation it will be difficult for us to achieve the expected goals. Therefore, movitavi is also very necessary for students in undergoing or pursuing education, both from the basic education level and also beyond.This motivation is especially important for students when taking part in teaching and learning activities, with this, students truly realize that the learning activities they undertake are really important and really only for their own benefit. So that students always make maximum efforts in participating in teaching and learning activities to develop their abilities.Without basic awareness and motivation from students regarding the importance of developing abilities through learning activities, they will lose direction and not know the benefits or goals and perhaps even learning activities will be a burden for them, not something interesting even if they are involved or take part in learning activities. on a daily basis.Students at the basic unit level (SD) may not yet be aware of or understand the motivation within themselves, as well as a fundamental and strong understanding of why they should take part in education. In addition, environmental factors (maintained) by the community regarding the world of education also influence their understanding, mindset and character in participating in learning activities at school.Based on the above, I try to build student motivation in teaching and learning activities through the problem based learning (PBL) learning model so that students experience interesting learning experiences, in an effort to increase their learning motivation. From the classroom action research activities carried out, it was concluded that this model can stimulate and increase students' motivation which actually shows the development of their learning achievements.

Abstract

The independence of students at Santa Maria Tanjungpinang Catholic High School in responding to the problems they are facing has not been created and developed well so that student activity in the learning process has not been maximized. Students still have to be guided and accompanied throughout the learning process so that the initiative to seek information or learn independently has not developed well because they still depend on the teacher. This classroom action research was carried out with the aim of finding out the increase in student independence after implementing the problem based learning model assisted by interactive LKPD in understanding diversity material as the original reality of human life and striving for peace and national unity in Catholic religious lessons to perfect the implementation of Catholic religious education learning in improving results. learn from students and make students able to understand the material being taught well. This research is action research. This research took place at the Santa Maria Catholic High School in Tanjungpinang and was carried out in October and November 2023, with the research subjects being 20 class XII 2 students. This research consists of two cycles, namely Cycle I which begins with planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Based on the results of observations in the learning process that has been carried out in the classroom, there are still students who are less active in the learning process. The independence dimension reached 71.87%. During the post test, only 16 students passed, 4 students did not pass with an average score of 77.75. Thus, the research must be continued to the next stage (Cycle II). In cycle II, the independence dimension increased to 92.85% and 19 students graduated in the proficient and proficient category with an average score of 88. Based on the research results, there was an increase in student learning outcomes with the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by interactive LKPD in cycle I the independence dimension was (71.87%) and in cycle II it was (92.85%). Meanwhile, the learning achievement results in cycle I were with an average score of 77.75 and increased in cycle II to 88. Thus, the PBL model assisted by interactive LKPD can increase student independence in PAK learning.

Abstract

The ability to think critically is one of the hopes for every teacher towards their students. The ability to think critically of students at SD Negeri 075021 Ombolata Salo'o is still relatively low, so that linearly student learning outcomes are low, therefore the existing problems will be tried to be overcome with a model. more interesting learning is PBL. This research aims to find out whether the application of the problem based learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the Catholic Religion Learning process and whether the use of this model can also improve students' critical reasoning in Catholic religious learning. The method used is classroom action research with the variable being PBL learning to improve students' learning outcomes and critical thinking abilities. The findings in this research were that in the first cycle an average score of 74.76 or 66.66% was produced, there were still 2 students who had not progressed. In the second cycle the average score was 91.66 or 100% completion of learning outcomes for all students. The value of the critical reasoning attitude increased from 70 to 89.16 The implication of this research is that the PBL method can be used by teachers creatively, the teacher's creativity in using the student center learning method leads to increased completeness of learning outcomes and an increase in students' critical reasoning attitudes.

Abstract

This study aims to maximize the positive critical personality of eleventh-grade Culinary 2 students at SMK Theresiana Semarang through the PBL Phase F model on the Church Nature material. The research background reflects the complexity of educational challenges in Indonesia, focusing on academic issues and educational access disparities. A Center of Excellence School such as SMK Theresiana Semarang strives to address these challenges through the Merdeka Curriculum and a vocational education approach based on Christian values.The exploration of the causes of the problem highlights the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of students. Self-concept understanding is influenced by internal and external factors, while the affective aspect, especially self-acceptance and meaningful life, affects motivation and self-confidence. Psychomotor challenges, such as reluctance to speak in public, are also related to a lack of strong self-acceptance.Recommendations for improvement involve a holistic approach, including emotional support, inclusive learning, wise social media management, and effective guidance. Improving self-acceptance is directed towards building a positive identity, stable self-esteem, and meaningful life motivation. These steps are expected to contribute positively to the critical personality development of students, creating an inclusive and empowering learning environment at SMK Theresiana Semarang.

Abstract

Education is a basic, planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process. The Indonesian government is making efforts to improve and develop the education system by renewing the curriculum, improving and developing the teaching system by creating a new curriculum, namely the independent curriculum. In the independent curriculum, Catholic religious education focuses on developing religious understanding, Catholic moral and spiritual values. The independent curriculum emphasizes the Pancasila profile. This research focuses on the critical dimensions of reasoning. This research aims to improve critical reasoning skills, increase students' motivation and learning outcomes on the meaning and understanding of the Church in Phase F Class XI TAV-2 SMK Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar, Catholic Religious Education subjects. This research was conducted in the form of classroom action research. This type of research is quantitative research. This research was conducted in two cycles. The classroom action research cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, observation and reflection. The method used is problem based learning, which prioritizes solving general problems that commonly occur in everyday life. In this learning model, students are expected to be involved in the research process which requires them to identify problems, collect and use data to solve problems to help increase motivation, critical reasoning skills and learning outcomes of students in Phase F Class XI TAV-2 SMK Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar .

Abstract

. The background to this research highlights the lack of effectiveness of the learning methods applied in class IV phase B for Catholic Religious Education (PAK) subjects in stimulating the development of students' critical reasoning. In facing this challenge, classroom action research was carried out by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model. This research aims to improve students' critical reasoning abilities and achieve the set learning targets. With quantitative methods, research was carried out through two cycles. The results of the first cycle showed an increase in students' critical reasoning by 73.5%, with a number of students reaching advanced and proficient levels. The second cycle showed significant improvement, with students' critical reasoning reaching 86%. Learning outcomes also increased, with more students reaching advanced levels. The implications of these findings illustrate that the application of Problem Based Learning is effective in improving students' critical reasoning and achieving the desired learning targets.

Abstract

Paulus Bambang Tri Suwasono. Increasing Creativity with PBL Method assisted by Youtube on the Material of Life Belonging to God in Phase E of Sma Sedes Sapientiae Semarang. The purpose of this study was to increase students' creativity in learning Catholic religion and ethics on the material of God's Life in Phase E of Sma Sedes Sapientiae Semarang in the 2023/2024 academic year through the application of the Problem Base learning model assisted by Youtube. This research was conducted at SMA Sedes Sapientiae Semarang. The research subject is class XI C phase F with 17 students who will be researched on the creative dimension of the Pancasila student profile through the Problem Base learning method. This type of research is a class action research (PTK). This research procedure consists of two cycles. The data collection tools used are teaching modules, observation sheets of the creative dimensions of the Pancasila student profile. The results showed that: the final average of the creative dimensions of students who took part in learning with the Problem Based Learning model in cycle I was 62.5; in cycle II the final average was 80.2 with an increase in the average score of 17.7. The results of this study indicate that learning using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by youutube is able to improve the creative dimension of the profile of better Pancasila students. Thus, the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by YouTube has an effect on the creative thinking dimensions of phase F students of class XI SMA Sedes sapientiae Semarang.The success of learning using the Problem Base Learning method assisted by YouTube can be used as an alternative learning to improve the creative dimensions of the Pancasila student profile.

Abstract

. School is a place for learning and good behavior, a real integral part of society, as well as a level and continuous educational unit for teaching and learning activities. Learning that is centered on appreciating life can shape students' character, teach ethics in social relationships, and help them recognize human values. Problem-based learning can help students live dignified lives and provide long-term benefits, creating citizens who are caring, responsible and contribute positively to society. The aim of the research is to increase students' understanding of the material on living with dignity in the critical reasoning dimension. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation. The descriptive approach aims to analyze the description of the facts that occurred, so that by using a descriptive qualitative approach with the Problem Based Learning learning model, it will be seen about students' understanding of the material on living with dignity in the critical reasoning dimension of phase F at SMKN 8 Semarang.
