Abstract

In the era of accelerated digitalization, various new problems have emerged among students, especially in the current post-pandemic era. Even though the development of technology and science is growing rapidly, it has given rise to various student character anomalies that are emerging now. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the Indonesian education sector. So there is a kind of alibi that during the pandemic, students did not receive enough character education during the period of social restrictions. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve students' leadership character in the education sector which is supported by increasing the variables of independence, discipline and responsibility. This effort is in line with the values ​​of the Pancasila Student Profile which affirms student competence in the dimensions of faith, devotion to God Almighty, and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning and creativity. The researcher assumes that to improve the leadership character of Class V students at Yos Sudarso Cigugur Elementary School based on Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), the researcher applies the Problem Based Learning model as a strategy to support the process of actively developing student independence in two research cycles. Researchers conducted Classroom Action Research "Improving Student Leadership Character with a Problem Based Learning Model on Material from Daud the Class V Leader of Yos Sudarso Cigugur Elementary School" as an effort to overcome learning loss caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The implementation of the "Merdeka Belajar" (Freedom to Learn) Curriculum faces various challenges, including in terms of curriculum implementation and adjustment. These challenges include changes in student learning patterns, the broader role of teachers, and efforts to meet the established educational standards. In the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, Catholic religious education in Indonesia focuses on developing students' understanding of religion, moral values, and Catholic spirituality, while also emphasizing the Pancasila student profile.The Merdeka Curriculum has also had impacts and posed challenges at SD Negeri Sawahan Surakarta regarding students' academic performance or learning outcomes. For example, in the cognitive aspect, when studying the Grade IV lesson on Developing My Abilities, the students' learning outcomes were unsatisfactory. Out of a total of 6 students, around 4 (67%) scored below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), which was set at 75. In this classroom action research, the researcher focuses on the dimension of critical thinking, based on the importance of building strong character and mental attitudes in the younger generation, especially in facing complex global challenges. Creative thinking skills will result in more effective learning and develop higher reasoning abilities that can be used to solve various problems in learning. Students with creative thinking skills tend to have high intrinsic motivation, strong drive, self-confidence, and better thinking abilities. In this model, the teacher acts as a facilitator who helps students develop deep understanding and relevant skills through motivation, stimulating questions, and support for meaningful learning experiences. PBL focuses on common everyday problems, and its process involves problem identification, data collection, and the use of data to solve problems. The primary goal of PBL is to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and knowledge acquisition, helping to improve students' learning outcomes and critical thinking skills in the topic of developing self-abilities in Grade IV at SD Negeri Sawahan, Surakarta.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the learning creativity of class V students in the subject of Catholic Religious Education and Character (PAKBP) through the application of the Phase C Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. PBL was chosen because it encourages students to be more active in solving real problems, thinking critically, and develop creativity. This classroom action research was carried out at the Paat 11 State Elementary School, Embaloh Hulu District, with a focus on the material "The Holy Spirit Strengthens the Hearts of the Apostles". The research results show that the application of the Phase C PBL model can increase students' creativity in understanding and applying the values ​​of Catholic teachings in everyday life. Apart from that, this method also succeeded in increasing learning motivation and student involvement in learning. Thus, PBL Phase C is effective in improving the quality of PAKBP learning and can be used as an alternative learning model to enrich student creativity.

Abstract

Learning motivation is an important factor that influences student success in learning learning process. However, students often experience a decrease in motivation to learn which can hinder the achievement of learning objectives. Therefore, there is a need for learning methods that can increase students' learning motivation. One method Effective learning in increasing students' learning motivation is the use of interesting and interactive learning media. Attractive learning media can arouse students' interest and enthusiasm in the learning process. With the existence of learning technology, students can learn independently and interactively, so that their learning motivation can increase. Apart from learning media and learning technology, management of Catholic Religious Education and Character education is also has an important role in increasing student learning motivation. Good management of Catholic Religious education will create a learning environment that is conducive, disciplined and oriented towards achieving learning goals. With good management of Catholic Religious education, students will feel comfortable and motivated to learn. In this research, it is hoped that learning methods can be found that are effective in increasing student learning motivation. It is hoped that this effective learning method can be implemented in the context of Islamic education to improve student learning achievement. By increasing student learning motivation, it is hoped that learning objectives can be achieved better.

Abstract

This research desires to know the Cooperative learning model in general in an effort to improve the independent learning of students in the classroom. Data collection and literature study using Classroom Action Research through data from cycle 1 and comparison results from cycle II. Cooperative is willing to help or be cooperative, in cooperative activities always require a group. While the Group is a group of several people who have the same goals desires and expectations. Meanwhile, group learning is a process of planned and directed learning activities involving more than one person so that where between one person and another complement each other. In learning the Cooperative method in this Classroom action research aims to increase independent learning, which means that if students are able to learn independently, it can describe that increased learning in Catholic religious education. The problem in this study is that the application of cooperative learning methods has not been applied optimally in learning. Research based on the problem, (a) How is the implementation of cooperative learning methods in Catholic Religious Education lessons to improve independent learning in class IX students of SMPN 2 Banyuke Hulu. (b) How is the improvement of student learning outcomes after applying Cooperative Method learning in Catholic religious education subjects. The objectives of this action research are; (a) to find out the Implementation of Cooperative Method Learning in Catholic religious education. (b) to determine the increase in student learning outcomes after the application of Cooperative Method Learning in Catholic religious education subjects for class IX students of SMPN 2 Banyuke Hulu.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education and Character Education (PAKBP) in class X Accounting with the Problem-Based Learning model. The method used in this study is the classroom action research method. The tools used to collect data are observation and tests. The object of observation in this study is the students' character as depicted in the Pancasila student profile. Learning activities using the problem-based learning model are applied strictly based on the syntax or stages of the model. This study was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection activities. The results of the study indicate that student learning outcomes on the Unique Personal I material from cycle I were 72% to 89% in cycle II. The increase that occurred from cycle I to cycle II was 17%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on the topic of "The Role of School in My Development" through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in Grade VII of SMP Negeri 6 Menukung, Kabupaten Melawi. The background of this research is the low student achievement in this subject, indicating a need for a more interactive and contextual teaching approach. The PBL model was chosen because it encourages students to actively engage in critical thinking and problem-solving based on situations relevant to their lives. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) methods, consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection, conducted over two cycles. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after the implementation of PBL. These findings suggest that PBL is effective in enhancing students' understanding and engagement with the subject matter.

Abstract

The success of students' learning can be determined by the motivation they have. Students who have high learning motivation tend to excel, on the contrary, low learning motivation will also have low learning achievement. Learning motivation can arise due to internal factors of desire and desire to succeed as well as the drive to learn and achieve goals. The external factors are the existence of awards, a conducive environment, and fun and interesting activities.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning learning model on the learning outcomes of class VIII Phase D students in the subject of Catholic Religious Education. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Sorkam. With a total of 31 students. Classroom action research is a scientific activity carried out by teachers in the classroom using actions to improve the quality of learning. So, classroom action research is very important for teachers to carry out, because solving existing educational problems will help improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Therefore, researchers will discuss how important it is to carry out classroom action research.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education (PAKAT) through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model among students at SD Negeri 6 Salaon Toba. The background of this research is the low learning outcomes of students in PAKAT, caused by the lack of active student engagement in the learning process and teaching methods that do not support the development of students' character competencies in line with Pancasila values. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles at SD Negeri 6 Salaon Toba, with the research subjects being 14 Phase B Grade IV students, focusing on the topic "Jesus Proclaims the Kingdom of God through Parables." The research was conducted in September 2024. Data collection techniques include observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and affective observation rubrics. The research focuses not only on improving academic performance but also on developing student character in line with the Pancasila Student Profile, such as critical thinking, collaboration, independence, and faith in God Almighty. The results show that the application of the PBL model significantly improves students' learning outcomes and supports the development of the Pancasila Student Profile. In the first cycle, students' average learning outcomes increased by 10%, and in the second cycle, by 20%. Additionally, students demonstrated improvements in critical thinking, group collaboration, and responsibility in completing tasks. This study indicates that the PBL model is effective in enhancing PAKAT learning outcomes while simultaneously supporting character development in line with Pancasila values. Educators are encouraged to continue applying this learning model to integrate academic achievement and character development.
